Writing is a way to make a lot of different people do exactly what you want them to do. When I can’t get my toddler to listen to me, I turn to my characters. They always cooperate!

I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my husband and seven year old son. I have perfected the ability to write in a noisy house and create story lines while folding laundry.

Ten Things to know about me:

1. I have a fear of whales. All whales. The noise they make. The sight of them (even on tv). I don't think this phobia has a name and I've never met anyone else who feels this way. I blame it on the 3D movie when I was 7 at the Boston Museum of Science. (Thanks Dad.)

2. When I get hungry it brings out the worst in me. My friends and family know to keep me well fed. They pack snacks now.

3. I can cook but not bake. Not even a little. Not even a box of brownies.

4. If there is a song I like it is normal to hear me listening to it a hundred times (give or take) in a row.

5. I do not, under any circumstances, read directions. Who has time for that? Making mac & cheese by the seat of my pants for the last 25 years.

6. Like a black-out drunk, I have lost hours of my life mysteriously to Pinterest. If you haven't tried it yet... don't. Save your self.

7. Before I became a mother, lots of things grossed me out. Now nothing does.

8. My favorite food is food... my least favorite food is no food. I love food. (apply the same rule to wine)

9. I do not have a green thumb. I have the kind of thumb that kills any type of plant ever given to me. Whatever kind of thumb that is... I have it.

10. Writing has changed my life. Not just the career it's created but the way I feel when I write. If you have something you love to do I hope you get the opportunity to do it.

💋💋

I’ve read the original Barrington Billionaire series and I’ve read the others that link , then I found these and was so happy all over again .

Excellent reading material.
James West is a real alpha male , strong , protective, moody, passionate .
Libby is in desperate need of protection and understanding, she’s very much a lady who is unsure of herself, lacks confidence and has lots of passion especially where James is concerned.

Great book , now onto Mathew and Jessica’s story.

This series is a spinoff of the Andrade series by Ruth Cardello. She is joined in this series, The Barrington Billionaires, by her sister, Jeannette Winters, and her niece, Danielle Stewart. Each one of these authors has written a series that can be read by itself or in conjunction with the other authors. All of the books contain interwoven characters. It’s more fun to read them together but is not necessary.

This one didn’t flow as well as the books by Ruth Cardello and Jeannette Winters. There were times it seemed to drag and other times it felt rushed. I actually related to James better in One White Lie than I did in Fierce Love. It was OK and you gain some more insights into the group. It just wasn’t as engaging.

What a gem

Loved this my introduction to the world of Danielle Stewart and what was even better this time her world crossed over into the world of the Barrington Billionaires. You may have met some of the works of Jeannette Winters or Ruth Cardello; but don't worry if you haven't you can truly enjoy this book as a jewel in its on crown!
Billionaire oil CEO James West is fighting to stamp his style and authority on West Oil, his family company. Whilst Liberty Saint- Jane, out of work actress turns school teacher is just fighting to pull off the toughest role of her life , assistant to the CEO in order to fulfill her family role as the self appointed caretaker. How long can these opposites continue to fight this fierce attraction.

James West, Jr. has one thing on his mind and that is making West Oil great. Nothing will get in his way. Libby Saint-Jane has a big secret that can destroy West Oil. When these two meet sparks fly!!

This is the first book I’ve read by Danielle Stewart and this book is part of a series that is connected to Ruth Cardello and Jeannette Winters’ Barrington’s Series. I enjoyed this book very much and it fit in well with the stories that Ruth and Jeanette are telling in this series. The hero was very strong and the heroine while she had some definite issues she was strong when she needed to be. These two complimented each other well. The story was well written and I look forward to more by this “new to me” author.

Thicker than oil

I was not sure what to make of James west but as I got deeper into this book you see the most amazing and complex man who as it turns out is a lot like his dad and truly amazing. Libby has been living a life for others rather than herself and doesn't seem to fully understand how to do anything for herself. James helps her find her voice while she helps him see the love he thought he never had was there his whole life.

Another great installment in this tri-author series.

Great read. So this book was great! It went so well with the other books in the two other series. I almost forget they are different authors. The time lines all flow nicely together.
This couple was nice, while he was still an alpha male I liked seeing a character read people. It was nice to see a character so perfectly show how meek a woman can be after constantly being torn down. The characters were perfectly flawed. Made me love them that much more. The author did touch on domestic abuse in this book but it was done very tactfully.

1st of many

This is the first book I have read by this author. She is writing a series in conjunction with her 2 aunts Ruth Cardello and Jeanette Winters. It was a good book. It started out slow but then it started to move and I didn't want it to end. I cannot wait to read the next which I hope will be Matthew and Jessica.

FIERCE LOVE
Barrington Billionaire Series
Book One

DANIELL STEWART

Reviewed by Roy Murry, Author

The Romance Genre is not my thing to read. However, I must expand my horizons by reading other than mysteries, my passion.

In Ms. Stewart's FIERCE LOVE, there is a little mystery. Libby, the lady who confronts James, the CEO of West Oil, is a mystery to him. Moreover, she is keeping those facts under cover until the covers come off.

Libby becomes James' executive assistant under pretenses, and he seems to get the feeling that something is not right. All he can think about is getting her in bed, but he does not sleep with employees.

They go tit for tat over this fact until the pressure explodes. Then the truth comes out about a business agreement James did not know existed between Libby's family and his father who is in a coma.

Their new sexual involvement might go to the next level, but doubt seeps in, and they separate. Libby meets with an ex which leads to an explosive ending.

This novel has some clean sexual encounters if there is such a thing. The main characters are well developed, which will propel the series forward into other circumstances that billionaires find themselves in. I can only imagine.

James and Libby were instantly attracted to each other, only one problem, he is the boss and she is his newly hired assistant. James West is now the CEO of West Oil since his father has fallen ill. He has plans to change this company and make It right again, but along the way he needs to overcome some major obstacles.

Libby doesn’t really work at West Oil, but is on the payroll (no spoilers). Now she could get caught and ruin everything and she won’t be able to care for her family anymore. The chance to be the CEO’s assistant is way out of her skill set, but she takes it anyway.

James and Libby both have issues and pasts that have lead them to how they are. Their attraction is so strong there is no more fighting it. They overcome their issues together and I love how forgiving James was with her.

Overall this was a good story. It was easy to read, good characters, romance and a good storyline. This is a standalone, but I feel like some things were left unfinished that may come up in the series? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not for me. Too long and drawn out

Too much description and many awkward similes. James wouldn't kick her from his bed even if her "hair was made of bees". Really? Libby had so many pint ice cream containers and wine bottles laying about one might think she would use them for crafting something kitschy? She "kicked" her head to the side and "kicked" her chin up. Painful and awkward.
Libby throws her arms around James' neck when she succeeds in getting him a meeting. Ridiculous.
Her mother suffered so from dementia that she had to be in a home, but was still very coherent. Having dealt with my MIL's dementia I know that home care is a less expensive and more appropriate answer at this stage.
Would there be consequences for being party to the illegal settlements JW arranged and accepting paychecks falsely? That's fraud and would cause a great deal of legal trouble for the recipients like Libby's family.
Perhaps the author needs to research more to give some veracity to her writing.

Due to a past deal Libby’s mother made with West Oil when Libby’s dad was killed at work, she’s a paid “un-employee”.

Now, James, the owner’s son, is taking over the business, and is trying to clean up West Oil’s image. They meet, they spark. They work together, try to resist, but can’t help falling in love.

I love how Libby causes the downfall of her abusive ex, but her not trusting James about his father’s shady deals with injured employees is annoying and ridiculous. She believed a man who was already part of the black business, a fired employee, rather than her boyfriend.

I also had to get past James’ initial attitude, selfishly wanting Libby to quit so he could sleep with her, then move on. This could be written with less of a hateful attitude on his part, I was tempted to stop reading early on in the story.

So overall, a good book, not great.

Really? A CEO Assistant?

I loved this book! Libby seems to be in an impossible situation, and then she miraculously ends up as assistant to the CEO of the company responsible for her father's death. How can any of this turn out well when Libby has no idea what her job entails? Enjoy a roller coaster ride of Libby learning her job and fighting her attraction for her boss. Is this a "happy ever after" ? Read, and find out; you'll enjoy the journey. I discovered this wonderful author through BookBub.

What a great story!

This is Fierce Love, book 1 of The Barrington Billionaires, written by Danielle Stewart. I loved the story and was quite surprised with the way things twisted up right to the very end. This is my first book by Ms Stewart and I am now a fan. You will love how all of these series interconnect and we are constantly getting glimpses into the daily lives of our old favorites. The Barringtons have been featured in several series and I like the way that Ms Stewart brought us right back to visit with them again. Loved it!

Great read

A really enjoyable read James West rushes back home after his father suffers a stroke to take over the family company he soon runs into Libby who somehow fascinates him but she has deep secrets of her own. Their relationship is rocky to say the least but they can't stop wanting each other. All the truth comes out in the end and love wins through. There are a number of subjects touched on in this book domestic violence and verbal abuse being some. Its an interesting story based around an oil company with lots of issues coming out and it all makes for a good read.

This is a great beginning to a wonderful series. While Libby holds West Oil responsible for her father’s death, she gains a position of assistant to James West, CEO of the company. While James would rather have Libby in his bed, Libby wants some justice for her father’s death. The sparks fly between these two. There is much more to this story than just the romantic one. It touches on many different aspects of the characters who are very well written. Once you start this series, you won’t be able to stop reading the series!

A good read

This was an enjoyable read. James and Libby were good for each other and I loved how the story flowed. James might have been use to getting what he wanted but at least he had to think about his usual of thinking and accept that there is more to life than being right and that it is important listen to others opinions and see their point a view. Libby learnt that she needed to put herself first sometimes, demand respect and live instead of just exist. Her friend Jessica is amazing. Beautiful ending.

A Good One

Good characters who you get drawn to, and a good but predictable plot. Libby takes care of everyone, and in doing so, meets James Barrington Junior. Because of past interactions with his father's company, Libby finds herself entangled in a web and becomes executive assistant to James Jr as he takes over his fathers company. Her desire to help him with the business problems he encounters is only surpassed by the growing attraction between them. Good love story but very explicit.

Fun story

I loved the characters in Book 1, but I am not fond of being force into buying another books to finish the story and this is what I felt happened at the end. Not a satisfying kind of book. Adding a chapter of the next book also feels pushing too much. Authors work will stand by themselves and cause a person to purchase another work of the author. That is why I knocked this book by one star down.

Dreadful!!

This must be among the first books this author wrote. I've read many others that were MUCH better. The Male lead indulges in sexual harrassment that makes today's reader cringe. The Female lead is so submissive one minute but somehow manages to survive and flourish in a job for which she has no qualifications the next. Come on, get real! Save your time and money; read something else.

I am not a person that enjoys romance novels because I feel that they usually do not have substance but not this one! Danielle Stewart just made me want to read the whole series. This was a great book with memorable characters. I want to continue learning about each character and their life story. I read the book in one sitting because I could not put it down!

Clean, but lame. In some ways this book was a little too steamy & may have altered my perception. I just found it to be extremely boring. Some of us who read clean or sweet reads, are not all religious cranks. For me, I am just a person getting through life, trying to deal with leftover cards from a bad deal in life.

Too much fluff, not much substance

I did not enjoy this book...it was too short to have a really well-written plot. Maybe for a quick commute read, but I really would have liked for it to be longer.
