After his stint in the army, Traynor Paxton hadn’t found a reason to land anywhere long enough to put down roots. It didn’t matter. Everywhere he traveled there was always a willing woman who understood that his affection lasted only until the morning light. Haunted by things he’d seen and done, he never expected to find a job he actually liked—or a woman he just might be falling in love with.
Sara McKinley had been on the run when she’d landed in the quaint little town of Conifer, Wyoming. She’d found a decent job in a local bakery and made a new life for herself. She was content. At least until she laid eyes on the new sexy-as-sin sheriff. Something about the big man made her want… more.
When her past finally catches up to her, will it tear them apart or will they take their last stand together?

I liked it

Not as smoldering as book one, probably because of his playboy past but definitely liked how they learned to admit their love

I really enjoyed this book! Last Stand book 2 of The Cowboys Homecoming series. I highly recommend it. The authors Patricia Mason and Joann Baker are very talented.

Sara moves to this small town after leaving an abusive ex; the sheriff takes a liking to her which comes to ahead when her bakery is broken into and she's hurt.

This is cute, but not original. This takes place in a small western town, but there are no cowboys, just ex military men. I HATED Tray's name with a passion.

Only 100 pages. We learn absolutely nothing about him as a person. His inner thoughts for the first 75 pages are how he used women for his own pleasure and is only looking for a one night stand kinda girl. Then we learn it’s all a facade. He only dates alot of women. He’s picky who he uses for his pleasure. What? Which is it?

I thought this story was adorable. It was a quick read. My only complaint was the typos. I have read many books by this author and I will likely read more. This series has one more cowboy to go and I can't wait.

Beautiful

I always love it when the big girl gets the handsome man. The cowboys homecoming is turning out to be a great series. If you haven't read the first book Last Chance, you should and then read this one. You'll love the characters and look forward to the next book.

Editing needed

Editing strongly encouraged. Cheesy storyline, but sometimes that's okay. Glad it was free on kindle unlimited or I'd have been annoyed by the lack of editing.
