I fell in love with the first two books and assumed I would with this one as well, but it felt so different, and not like it was part of the same series.
My problem was the fact that this guy read a stranger's blog, and felt a connection to her so strong, that he decided to track her down, using details she talked about to narrow down her exact location.
Now sure, this can be considered kind of sweet in a book, but imagine if someone did that in real life...like, I'm sorry, but it's giving stalker. That's not what I was expecting to see in a Christmas read.
When the real LBH was introduced, I instantly knew it would be her, and was waiting for Alex to connect the dots...and waiting, and waiting and waiting and then he went and made the whole thing even worse.
He was sooo unlikeable, and so were his friends. Actually, his friends were my very first problem with the book, I hated every scene they were in, if I wanted to read about dude-bros I would've picked up a different novel.
LBH deserved so much better, she did nothing wrong, and now she's stuck with him forever...free my girl.
On top, this wasn't very Christmasy, but that's a minor flaw when compared to everything else I mentioned.
There were some redeeming qualities, like the writing, the descriptions and the audiobook, but I was expecting so much better from Evans.
