I love any book on Audrey Hepburn and this was small but filled with all things Audrey. Everytime I read a book in Audrey it just makes me want to be like her. Some dates and names of films didn't match the photos though...
This is an incredibly short book that reminds me of a lot of reason of why I adore and admire Audrey Hepburn so much. That’s the biggest compliment I can give to this great book
one of the most beautiful and raw books i have ever read about a person. i love how this book described every part of audrey’s life. audrey hepburn was a saint and was too good for this world, she is an absolute icon and inspiration. she is an idol to me and many others even now. the fact that she has made such an impact in this world is amazing and that she was so humbled about it too. this book made me tear up because of how amazing audrey was as a person. she always tried her best to give and help others. the work that she did in the unicef is amazing and so motivating. i wish and inspire to be like audrey. she was the definition of elegant and true beauty. audrey was an amazing mother, actress, humanitarian and person. she was an absolute legend. i absolutely loved and enjoyed this book ! - 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love Audrey Hepburn! She was a beautiful person, inside and out. This book is about her fashion sense, personal style and major influence on fashion trends even now, years after her death. It showcases many of her movies and covers her personal life as well, with chapters on her relationship with designer Hubert de Givenchy, and her favorite photographers Richard Avedon, Cecil Beaton and Bob Willoughby. (The nits I have to pick: Dutch "Conga," instead of Congo, lol; a very badly printed photo of her gorgeous ballgown from Sabrina, where the dramatic black embroidery looks gold instead; and a very poor choice for the cover photo.) I'm happy to add this little book to my collection of books about my favorite star.
Aceasta carte m a inspirat foarte mult.
A touching tribute to a legend. Proving that she was born of Dutch royal lineage, her aesthetics and on-screen persona left an impact on generations that came ahead of her . Her humanitarian work with children honoured her own hardships as a world war 2 prisoner, a fantastic insight into her life . Feeling lucky to have read it.
“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
This was a charming little book!! It was full of pictures from when Audrey was a young dancer through when she was an ambassador for UNICEF. There's lots of info about her life included and how to create that signature Audrey style! This is a must buy for all Audrey fans!
A captivating tribute to the legendary actress. With its stunning visuals and insightful content. It's a delightful and inspiring book that will leave you enchanted by the grace and elegance of this timeless icon.
3.5 stars. This was a gift, can't say I would have been drawn to it myself but it was actually a fun little read and I do love my golden hollywood starlets.
More about the fashion of Audrey than her life but everything you want to know is still in there. Why all biographies can't be as quick and easy as this? I don't know..
AUDREY is my only favourite human in the world that I haven't met. I love her she has the largest and most beautiful heart. She's poised, well mannered as a queen, humble, intelligent, strong and determined. A classic icon.
I wish more people had a fraction of the selflessness and courage she had, the world will be a better place. She's a legend. The reason why I gave this a 4 stars is that this book mainly focused on her fashion and make up and classical trends which she "incorporated" into mainstream fashion. Not really on the behind the scenes stuff on film sets, or the drama between Julie Andrews and WB, or her humanitarianism missions. I don't know I guess I already knew most of these things and I've seen most of these pictures.
