PICTURE PERFECT WEDDING by author Fiona Lowe is a Carina Press release for August 2013.

Erin Davies is trying to build her wedding photography business. And the right place for it is? Whitetail. A small town that just started offering ‘Weddings That Wow.’

Looking for a field of sunflowers to photograph a wedding party in, Erin runs in a snag. The farmer is not keen to offer his sunflower fields. So how will Erin go about convincing the farmer, Luke Anderson, that it is for the best?

Luke is not too happy in his very predictable life. The arrival of Erin adds much needed colour to his staid life. But the question is, will Erin stay? What about her goals?

PICTURE PERFECT WEDDING has a strong heroine in Erin and a gorgeous hero in Luke. It is a fast paced romantic tale which takes a reader deep into both the characters’ psyche to discover why they are against love and commitment. It is a hilarious journey as the dialogue is humorous and enjoyable. Erin is strong in her convictions but yields to Luke as she is so attracted to him. Author Fiona Lowe does a great job with the secondary characters. I just loved reading Martha and Vern’s retirement issues as well as getting connected to Nicole the wedding planner and her budding romance with the town’s new fire chief.

Building business is tough enough just ask any business owner, it takes months of preparation, a lot of determination, hours and hours of hard work and even then there is always the possibility of failure or set backs that could seem minor but could mean the downfall of the business.

Therefore it is always crucial to make sure as little as possible goes wrong and push for the best results. In the new Fiona Lowe read we meet Erin she needs to plan a perfect wedding and to make it happen she will need to convince hold-me-down-or-I'll-kiss-you-senseless farmer Luke Anderson!

But convincing this man is easier said then done and when these two go at it their dull world of no happy ever afters brightens up faster then when a rainbow hits the sky after a storm!

The main characters of both Erin and Luke were spectacularly written by the author , I felt so emotionally connected to Erin as her will to push to succeed shined through, and much like myself she always pushes for the best result to make those around her happy.

Luke was a character that broke my heart, I was so sad to see him suffer with a predictable life, as we all know you need to make the best of each day you have on earth and when things start being predictable you need to try to do something to spice it up, or you will for sure be bored and fall into a pattern that might very well drive you over the edge of madness.

The author taking these two characters and letting fun and sassy meet boring and predictable made this a truly perfect sparks flying romance filled with loads of heat and drama!

The backdrop settings were so creative and perfectly described by the author I actually felt as it I could touch the wedding buzz ! I loved the dialogue, deeply emotional to the point where I thought I might just actually start bawling my eyes out, which is always a good sign that the author knows how to pack a punch.

What I totally adored was the humour that the author dashed into the read, I laughed out load so badly that yes those around me gave me one look and most definitely thought me mad! But again this is the joy of a Fiona Lowe read, you not only get sweet and sensual romance, but also tear jerking emotion and down right funny laughter and good times.

The moments of conflict were absolutely brilliant, I was torn between wanting Erin to win the battle and at other times I wanted Luke to win , but with both giving as good as they get it just pulled this read together on that " Ah perfect romance and heat " level that I very dearly love.

I highly recommend this read for all fans of Fiona Lowe reads, and for those romance fans looking for a guaranteed set the mood read that will have you wanting a picture perfect wedding of your very own!

Sbg fotografer pernikahan, Erin tidak akan melepaskan kesempatan utk disewa memotret pengantin yg diperkirakan sbg Bride of the Year, yg mengharuskannya ke Whitetail.

A book and read sometimes has more of a story than the words within.
It might have special connotations, like where you read it, who gave it to you or how you came across it. Picture Perfect Weddings is one such example for me after discovering it during research for our Live spotlight author sessions. Fiona kindly offered to drop this gem and others off at our gate on her way past.
A wonderful but brief covid governed catch-up adds to the icing for this great read.
A well written rural romance that had me lured when hearing it was set in a sunflower field on a dairy farm with two loveable dogs.
Set in Amish country in the US in the heart of their lush farming country with its red barns and deciduous trees.
Talented wedding photographer Erin will stop at nothing to make her brides happy on their special day. Literally gatecrashing the farm where she hopes to secure the rights to use a sunflower field puts in bad stead with the young hot farmer.
A tumultuous beginning, a bridezilla and aspirations for future dreams all combine with love, family affairs that need resolving and two inseparable dogs.
Talented writing made the reader feel part of the family discussions and anxieties with farm succession planning and the emotions of retirement.
This book is in the Wedding fever series and I am looking forward to my next instalment.

Dear Reader,

I’m so excited to introduce you to this updated edition of Picture Perfect Wedding, book two in my romance series, Wedding Fever. This book has a special place in my heart. Growing up, I spent many happy times on a dairy farm and when I lived in Wisconsin, I enjoyed visiting farms with their glorious red barns, maple trees and fresh, creamy milk.
I hope you enjoy Erin and Luke’s “grumpy-sunshine” story where the city girl meets the country boy and sparks fly. If you’ve already read Saved By The Bride, you’ll enjoy catching up with Nicole, the wedding planner and her unexpected romance. With those two books under your belt, Runaway Groom, the final book in the trilogy, is waiting for you.
Although I’m not writing straight romance fiction these days, the same humor and romantic elements are found in my recent women’s fiction novels, despite the more serious undertones. I like to think my wedding books are more of a romp!
As a side bar, since I researched and wrote these books, I have enjoyed the hands-on experience of being a huge part of my eldest son’s garden wedding. We had to deal with a gum tree flattening the marquee two days before the wedding! But that’s another story for another book.
Happy Reading!

There are so many reasons to like this book: a romance that builds but isn’t easy. Humor. Family and friends with complicated relationships and personalities that add to the story. A small town setting that’s charming without being sticky sweet. A hero and heroine who’s chemistry is combustible. And it’s all set in Northern Wisconsin!

Picture Perfect is the second in the Wedding Fever series set in Whitetail Wisconsin, a town that’s been seeking to boost the fading local economy by becoming a destination wedding mecca. And where there’s weddings, there’s romance. (At least you would hope!)

Our heroine Erin is a photographer based in Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota (the closest metro area) hoping to win a contest that will shoot her into the big leagues, allowing her to become a full time photographer and quit her waitressing job. She thinks the wedding of Constance Littlejohn is the perfect opportunity, even though Connie is a bridezilla with too much money to spend. At Connie’s request, Erin travels to Whitetail to persuade a local farmer to allow them to take photographs in his sunflower field, which should be in full bloom at the time of the wedding.

Erin’s GPS and navigation skills land her straight in the land and then the lap of Luke Anderson, the farmer whom she needs to charm. Between getting her car stuck on his property and her small dog attacking him, things go from bad to worse and he scoffs at her request. They can’t stand each other, but they can’t pull their eyes and later their hands off each other.

One reason I really enjoyed this book is that it’s happy, but not sugary sweet. Too many times with small town novels everything wraps up in such a sugary manner that I want to poke my eyes out. Ms. Lowe doesn’t do that to her readers. Our heroine suffers several significant disappointments along the way but does get her happy ending. The mixing of good with bad (which included some realistic family dynamic) makes for a great read.

You wouldn’t know Ms. Lowe is Australian the way creates a welcoming small town in Northern Wisconsin that gives readers a real flavor for what life is like in the rural Upper Midwest. You don’t need to be from Wisconsin to appreciate the book, but if you are you’ll probably like it even more.

You don’t need to read the other books in the series to understand this one. But after you read this one, you’ll probably want to!

Erin Davis, Minneapolis photographer, wants to become known as THE photographer for high-end weddings. She seems to have a special gift for handling bridezillas. When she "shoots" a wedding in little Whitetail, Wisconsin (this is the 2nd in the Wedding Fever series), she has the misfortune to meet farmer Luke Anderson covered in mud and muck--all because her car gets stuck in a cow pasture.

Luke is GQ handsome, but not at all happy to see her, her car, OR her ankle-biting purse dog, especially when he finds out that she's there to arrange a wedding in his sunflower acreage for a bride who doesn't know when to quit texting, calling or emailing.

The only good thing to emerge is Whitetail's need for a wedding photographer. So... Erin stays in Whitetail through the summer, shooting other weddings while arranging for the wedding of the century. She's certain that a picture among the sunflowers will make her reputation and win her a major award. A bonus to her making more money than would have been the case in the big city is Luke, a major-league lover, who LOVES to make love to her. In fact, he falls in love with her to the everlasting joy of his mother, who wants him settled on the farm for good so his father won't abandon the elder Anderson's Arizona retirement.

Alas, it's not to be. Erin, for all kinds of reasons, is allergic to marriage. She flees when Luke declares himself. Then Luke's father decides NOT to return to Arizona, Luke's mother declares she will go without him, and when Luke floats the idea of selling the farm, his gay brother and married sister are appalled. How his parents feel can't be printed in polite company. As if that wasn't enough, bridezilla's groom marries her and then declares he's getting an annulment on MOnday and takes off with the bride's sister! Ye gods and little fishes! What could be worse? The picture of the century that doesn't happen.

How author Lowe resolves all these issues is a frothy mixture that generates laughter and tears.

This is the second book in the series. The story of Luke and Erin, in a small town in Wisconsin. I loved the flirting between the two of them. A good mixture of family drama, romance and humor. Plus two lovable dogs. A great summer read, looking forward to reading more of Fiona Lowe's wedding series.

Buku kedua.

Tidak sebagus buku pertamanya. Di buku ini tuh alurnya lambat sekali. Bikin ngantuk. Dan yang bikin aku bertahan untuk menghabiskannya karena penasaran dengan Anie dan keluarga barunya. Tokoh-tokoh pendukungnya dibagian-bagian akhir akan menjadi tokoh utama di seri selanjutnya.

In Picture Perfect Wedding by Fiona Lowe, Erin Davis believes that she has the touch to take the perfect wedding picture. But she wants to be the photographer for high-end brides. In order for that to happen she has to make Connie’s wedding into the perfect wedding. She may not be the wedding planner, but unless she gets the bride what she wants, Erin won’t be able to get the perfect picture. But first she must convince Luke Anderson to allow them to use his sunflower field when it is in full bloom for the wedding pictures.

Luke has always loved the land and his family farm, but since his father retired he is not happy. He still loves the land and working on it, yet for some reason he no longer finds happiness in milking the cows and taking care of the fields. He knows that he needs to do something different and challenging so he can find happiness again, but he can only do so many changes to the farm that has been on the family for so long.

Unfortunately, Erin can get lost standing still, and her GPS has led her directly to the field where Luke has the cows and not to the main house. Which in turn leads her to panic when her car is surrounded by them and then lands her on Luke’s lap, literally. To make matter even more entertaining her dog decides to attack Luke when he is only trying to help her. Now he will allow her to use his restroom to shower and change, but no matter how much he likes her at first sight, once he finds the reason behind her being there in the first place, he won’t be able to get rid of her fast enough.

One thing that Luke doesn’t need is a crazy bride and her photographer harassing him. Even though Erin and Luke can’t stand each other because of their different priorities, one thing they have in common is the instant attraction they feel towards each other. But Erin believes her career will be on the line unless she can get the use of that field and she will stay in town until she can get what she wants.

But while there, Erin will find an ally in the town’s wedding planner Nicole Lindquist, who will help her get the use of the field if Erin will do the photography for a friend’s wedding. Nicole is a widow and mother of a young boy. Ever since the death of her husband everyone has treated Nicole with kid gloves since her husband died in the line of duty and believes him a hero. Little do they know the truth she has been hiding from everyone, but she will have to find a way to tell them something if she ever wants to be able to do embark on a new love life, otherwise she will live with everyone sabotaging her interest in new love. Which she will have to face when the town’s new fire chief, Tony Lascio crosses her path and gets involved in her life.

Picture Perfect Wedding has two great romances in one that will keep you wondering what happens next. While they are based in a small town these romances are not as perfect as they are always believed to be. You will have conflicts between the Luke and Erin as well asLuke and his family, secrets that make a big difference and some very busybody town people with good hearts but wrong in their assumptions. But also a great humor in the interaction of the character that will have you laughing out loud.

If you like small town romances with conflicts, secrets and humor, don’t miss Picture Perfect Wedding by Fiona Lowe.

Review originally posted here: http://thebookpushers.com/2013/08/20/...

I love wedding themed romances, and Lowe has yet to disappoint me.

Erin is a photographer who has the ability to capture any bride in the exact moment of her greatest happiness. But building a wedding photography business is harder than she expected. A prestigious photography award would go a long way in helping her, and she needs Luke’s sunflower field for the perfect shot. Only, Luke doesn’t want people trampling through his field, and is determined to make Erin’s life difficult from the moment she sets foot into Whitetail.

Luke is a farmer, and although his town is dependent on the wedding business, he is reluctant to fall into the craze. But he folds, and working with Erin is hard enough without having to deal with his family’s uneasy truce. Thinking about what he wants for the future is near impossible with Erin confusing his every thought. But the bond between them is undeniable.

Ok, I have to start by saying the sexual tension between Luke and Erin is OFF THE CHARTS! These two dance around their attraction to each other for chapters upon chapters, and the heat continues to rise and rise and rise without taking a break. They torment and flirt and tease each other like I’ve never read before, and although it takes them awhile to actually get naked, but it is worth the wait! *fans self*

On top of it all, the romance between these two was so sweet. Both Erin and Luke are running away from their own insecurities and problems, and although they use each other for escape, they also grow closer. I love that Luke ends up being the pursuer of a real and full time relationship, leaving Erin floundering with her own feelings. I love reading about a strong alpha hero who is so sweet and caring and protective and smitten. Luke is all that and more!

The town of Whitetail took awhile to grow on me, but I’m loving the wedding fever that everyone seems to have. All the secondary characters are so fun, and I loved getting to see more of Luke’s family. Especially when his brother (the only gay man in town) finds a chance at love. Lowe took the time in this book to really develop a secondary relationship and romance with Nicole, the town wedding planner and war hero widow. I liked that Nicole got the second chance at love, but am a little disappointed with one of the aspects of it. It seems as if every romance book I’ve read with a war-hero widow, something negative is revealed about her dead husband. I absolutely hate this. Hate it, hate it. I was disappointed to see it happen once again, and it took away a little bit of the spark between Nicole and Tony.

But despite that, I still adore the town of Whitetail, and am anxious to see what Lowe has in store for us with the third book in the series, Runaway Groom.

All in all I thought Lowe did an incredible job with the sexual tension between Luke and Erin. It was some of the sexiest buildup I’ve ever read in a romance book, and I couldn’t be happier with the way Luke and Erin were able to resolve and find happiness together. Despite the problems I had with the secondary relationship, I was happy to see Nicole finally get her HEA.
I give Picture Perfect Wedding a B-

This review and many others can be found on my blog, My Written Romance.

There's something wonderful about the town of Whitetail, Wisconsin. The lovely little town Fiona Lowe introduced us to earlier this year in Saved by the Bride is back in the equally wonderful follow-up, Picture Perfect Wedding. Reading this book was like coming back to your home town after a while away and catching up with old friends. I love getting that feeling when I'm reading a book.

Erin is trying to bolster her reputation as a wedding photographer, and the wedding in Whitetail she's been commissioned to shoot could be her ticket to the big time.....if she can get the owner of the sunflower field to agree to let them use it.

Luke has wanted to run the family farm his way for a long time, and now his father has retired to Florida, he has that chance. His enthusiasm and desire for the farm however is in a funk and he doesn't know why. He most certainly doesn't need the demanding bridezilla and her photographer trampling all over his sunflowers while he works it out.

I loved Erin and Luke as a couple. They match so well, despite each's reservations about committing to love and relationships. There's a lot of humour in their interaction, and the dialogue as always with Ms Lowe is sharp and witty. It was a lot of fun and on occasion heartbreaking watching these two work through what has been keeping them from the happiness both richly deserve.

As with Saved by the Bride, the supporting characters in Picture Perfect Wedding are wonderful. I loved seeing war widow and wedding planner Nicole find new love with sexy newcomer, fire chief Tony. I won't give away too much, but the drama that follows visiting bridezilla Connie's big day is awesome on a Days of Our Lives-scale. Fiona Lowe, I must say you do know how to give the baddies their comeuppance. When you read it, you'll know to whom I refer. Oh, and I love the dogs - my daughter would go nuts for Maggie-May and Mac.

The only issue I have is that I now have to wait until January next year for the next book in the series. If you are looking for a fun, sweet, romantic read to get you through the last days of Winter or to laze away the end of a northern Summer, this is definitely one to put on the reading list. Actually, put the whole series on the list if you haven't already - you'll have a blast with the great folks of Whitetail!

My rating: 5 out of 5

Note: I was provided with an advanced reader copy of this book by the author, Fiona Lowe in return for an honest review.

Picture Perfect Wedding is the second book in Fiona Lowe’s Wedding Fever trilogy, following Saved by the Bride (April 2013). Whitetail is an appealing community filled with interesting characters who are devoted to their city and to taking care of each other. Luke is one of their own, and they welcome Erin both because they need her photographic skills for the wedding business that is putting Whitetail on the map and because they value her warmth and creativity.

Watching Erin and Luke skirmish and flirt and fight a losing battle against this backdrop is a delight. But despite the fun and games, hearts and lives are on the line, and both Erin and Luke have real issues that must be resolved before they find their way to the HEA. It’s not surprising, given that Luke has the foundation of a stable, loving family, that his issues should be less complex that Erin’s.

I really enjoyed the details about Erin’s photography and Luke’s farming. The jobs of these characters were not just necessary inclusions but vital parts of their identities. I also like the context of family dynamics in my romance novels, and Lowe provides rich contexts with conflict and power struggles even with a family in which all the members really do love one another, and she includes a villain who is completely believable because he is not evil personified but rather a man whose weakness and greed are greater than his desire to do the right thing. The relationship between Erin and Luke is sizzling hot with good measures of humor and sweetness.

The secondary romance between widow and Whitetail wedding planner Nicole Lindquist and Tony Lascio, the town’s new fire chief, adds another layer of sexy sweetness, although it provides my only major dissatisfaction with the novel. I would like to have seen their story more fully developed--perhaps in their own book, or at least in a novella. I thought they deserved more than the rushed treatment.

Picture Perfect Wedding didn’t prompt me to send emails recommending it to friends as Lowe’s RITA-winning Boomerang Bride did, but it is a terrific addition to any contemporary romance collection. If you like small-town contemporary romances with heat, humor, and heart-winning characters, I think you will enjoy it as much as I did. I recommend this book.

Ok ladies! If you are looking for a great feel good read then do I have the book for you. The Picture Perfect Wedding by Fiona Lowe had me hooked from the first page and kept me hooked until the last. Please let me tell you a little about this wonderful story.

Welcome to Whitetail to Wisconson the town know for Weddings with WOW. This little town is in the middle of no where with nothing but farms, cows, corn, and the most beautiful sunflower field that you could ever imagine. Enter Erin Davis, wedding photographer, looking to use the sunflower field for a bat-crazy bride and her chance to win the Memory Award (Memmy as the pros call it) and make her mark in the photo world. There is only one little problem, enter tall, sexy, grumpy Luke Anderson, owner of said field and the one man standing in the way of the perfect picture. Luke doesn't want any wedding interruptions and Bridezilla's running around on his farm, but finally caving to the sexy city girl. Now with the wedding drawing closer, the bride acting even crazier than ever, and sparks flying between Erin and Luke, will Erin get her Perfect Picture, or will she get more than she ever imagined?

Luke and Erin had me laughing from the first page of this book. I love love loved these characters! They are both very strong in their conviction that neither has time in their lives for love, romance and relationships. But a summer fling is something that they can both agree on. Their backgrounds are so totally different, she grew up without stability, learning at an early age that the only person she could ever count on for security is herself, he grew up on a 6 generation family farm, surrounded by love, family and a legacy. Neither of them expected more than a summer of fun, but what they found together was so much better than they could ever hope for.

There is a side story with a widowed single mom, Nicole and her young son Max, and a HOT, sexy fire cheif Tony, that only added to the fun and lightheartedness of this book. Being that this is the second book in the Wedding Fever series, I did not feel like I missed out on anything because I did not get to read the first book. I will however be going back to read book 1 becasue Fiona Lowe is an author that I will be following. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that loves a fun, cheeky, feel good book.

What happens when all you ever wanted to do is take over running the family farm, then when you finally get your wish, suddenly you can't remember what made you happy about farming? For Dairy Farmer Luke Anderson being able to run the farm his way without his fathers disapproval should of been the realisation of his lifelong dream but why does it feel like a nightmare?

City girl Erin Davis is a Wedding Photograph who wants nothing more than the financial security she never had as a child and to make her clients big day perfect and her one aim is to get that "Perfect Happiness" shot to make it all worthwhile. The last thing she wants is to be stuck in a small town, but when hardworking Erin drives down to Whitetail - home to Weddings that Wow to try and make her latest Bridezilla's dream of photos in a sunflower field happen her GPS isn't the only thing that gets lost. She's there to confront a stubborn farmer who won't return her brides phone calls - but what she wasn't expecting was Luke.

But the sparks flying between country boy Luke and city girl Erin aren't the only thing happening in Whitetail. In Book 2 of the Wedding Fever Trilogy we get to catch up with some of the lovely locals from Book 1 (Saved by the Bride) including the lovable Nicole - hairdresser and wedding planner extraordinaire who just wants to get on with her life - but the town doesn't want to let anyone forget her "hero" late husband. Will new fire chief Tony finally change things for Nicole and Max? Or will it be all smoke and no fire?

Another great heart warming, small town story from Award Winning Aussie Author Fiona Lowe with a perfect blend of family drama, romance and story. I can't wait for the final book in this trilogy to find out what happens next in the town of Whitetail.

Overall, I liked this one. I didn't love it though, mostly because there were a few things that put me off early on that I had a hard time getting past. These things are probably just personal triggers for me, because the story (mostly) worked, and the writing itself was great.

So, my issue was with the heroine Erin. I liked her. Really, I did. But! I really didn't like how any time she felt any kind of attraction to super hot farmer Luke (who was totally yummy, BTW), she would--and I'm paraphrasing here--tell her inner slut to shut up. She refers to her natural sexual desires as slutty, as being a ho, etc. and that REALLY bothered me in a modern day contemporary.

The rest of the story was good, but not great. I found the sub-plot with Nicole and Tony both too slow in parts and then WAAAAAAAY too fast in others. I didn't really feel that it added anything to the story, and Nicole and Tony were both interesting enough characters that they deserved their own story.

Anyway, I enjoyed the first book in this series a lot more, but I'll probably still read the third. Mostly because I'm a little OCD that way.

Oh my. Ms. Lowe writes a charming, entertaining, and sometimes wrenching story in Picture Perfect Wedding.

The Wedding Fever trilogy, set in Whitetail, Wisconsin, continues with this installment that features Erin, an up-and-coming wedding photographer, and Luke, a dairy farmer who's been handed the family farm by his parents, who are hot to retire to warmer climes.

Erin and Luke get off to a rocky start but it's soon clear to them (and even more so to everyone around them) that they've got the basis of a rip-roaring mutual attraction going on. There's also an enjoyable secondary plot with the town wedding coordinator/hairstylist and the new fire chief.

Ms. Lowe creates charming and interesting characters who also display quite a bit of depth. The issues concerning them are ones that feel very true to life despite the idyllic town's setting and the fairy-tale feel of the wedding business they're building.

Ms. Lowe's written a delightful read, and I definitely look forward to the final book in the Wedding Fever trilogy!

So so aja.

Picture perfect wedding is book 2 in Fiona Lowe's new series. This book was an absolute blast to read! Luke and Erin's fun, flirty and sarcastic relationship was so entertaining and fun to see unfold. Not only do you get to see their HEA, you get to see Nicole's (the head of weddings that wow who we met in book 1!)

This is a great summer beach read with laugh out loud moments, couples learning to change their past behaviors to find love and adorable dogs!!! Where is book 3?!? ;)

Lovely story, beautifully written! There are one main story in this novel and two smaller ones. It was the first time that I read a book in the category of country/rural romance but I really enjoyed it. Fiona Lowe is funny, witty and has a magnificent way “to show don’t tell” with beautiful images. I also loved the characters and grew fond of them.
