Elyssa Rose loved her flower business and would do everything to keep it and keep hottie gym owner Jaxon from taking or buying her building. When Jaxon realized she was living in the apartment above her shop, he's concerned about her safety, but Elyssa thought he was just making her go away.

A threat to her life brought Elyssa and Jaxon together and soon he found out her sleeping habit. Sleep walking. How could he resist a lady with a chocolate-dipped mouth just a few steps away from his bedroom?

And then an old nemesis caught Jaxon's attention and made him seething with rage and jealousy. Looked like Baron was out to get Elyssa too?

This beautiful love story is just what I need after a stressful weekend. Elyssa and her dreamy state makes me laugh out loud everytime she opens her eyes and mouth. And dreamy Jaxon is such an adorable slave driver. A gym slave driver that is. I enjoyed grinning and laughing and kicking my pillows while reading A Rose in Bloom by Tamie Dearen. It was a sweet and giggly experience and a perfect read before you sleep!

I found this to be a very sweet, squeaky-clean, page-turner of a romance. I suppose I struggled a little to identify with the MC, a 25 year old who'd never even been kissed, but that aside, it was a lovely read with a few twists and turns. I thought it was a very well written and lovely fast-paced book. If you're after a sweet read that will keep your attention, this one should not disappoint.

Such a fun read!

I enjoyed the snarky banter and the misunderstood communication between the two main characters. Some outrageous situations led to some either riveting or hilarious moments. Great read, with a bit of steam.

Reader Rated 14+ for mild sensuality and suspense.

Nice read

It was interesting how everything turned out. I was expecting a different way the story would end. But I enjoyed it!

Not really good

I only finished the story because I thought it would get better. The girl may be 25 but she needs to grow up. She is all about being on her own and not needing a man in her life. I thought maybe there was a story behind it but nothing came about.
I wouldn't recommend this book because I think my girlfriends would not like the girl in this story. I don't even believe the girl deserves the guy. Yes there was a the whole business issue but she just drive me nuts. I think this would be a good YA romance.

You can’t have the building or me!

Tami Dearen does it again! I love her characters and connect with them quickly. Ellyssa and Jaxon start as enemies in business bc he wants the building her florist shop is in, but she won’t have anything to do with swapping buildings or him, even if he’s gorgeous! ... Tami calls this book a series of novellas, but it reads as one great story. Enjoy!

A Rose in Bloom

This is a sweet and fun novelette that also deals with trust issues. Elyssa has opened a flower shop in the building she inherited from her uncle. Jaxon owns a gym across the street from the flower shop. He didn’t count on falling in love with the stubborn and quirky owner that refuses to sell.

This was a very sweet, romantic comedy novella. Swoon-worthy kisses, no swearing, and very clean. This is the second book I've read by this author and I plan to read more. Highly recommended. This is a stand-alone story.

The heroine... UGH!!

I’m sorry, but no just no! The story was okay and I liked the hero but the heroine was annoying, rude & honestly, just plain mental!! I know that she was supposed to come across as strong, but she was just so obnoxious & rude!!

😀😀😀😀😀

A sweet romance set apart by the fun plot twists and the well developed characters: Elyssa and Jaxon have all those little quirks that make a character a person for the reader.

Good story.

This is a very interesting and exciting book. I enjoyed it so much, I couldn't put it down. Elyssa and Jackson has a chemistry for each other, but neither wants to admit it. Something happens that changes everything.

A new way to approach and maintain a relationship. The heroine of the book will keep the humor going. The hero has an abundance of patience to bring this relationship to fruition.

Hilarious

I laughed and really enjoyed the story. I loved how she renamed her exercise coach Satan. Her brother is a hoot.

Sweet, clean, light and funny. The perfect combination for some cozy heartwarming moments. I had read the story while it was still online, but I still wanted to buy it with this gorgeous cover!

I love the premise of enemies-becoming-couple. A delicate florist and a muscular gym owner seem like an unusual couple, but Ms. Dearen sure knows how to write about hot men and dynamic women. The funny moments between Elyssa and Jaxon are on par with their sweet ones. I like how he was protective of her, patient and understanding. I equally liked her stubbornness: she made him really fight for her, at first to win her building and then to win her heart.

I recommend this book for teenagers and adults alike who prefer a lighthearted, funny romance, quite sexy but clean at the same time!

The plot was moving along very nicely for the first half, but once the accident happened it just kind of ended with nothing actually happening...

UPDATE: I did not actually miss any part of the book. What I meant was that after the accident happened, there wasn't any real plot movement. I stand by my rating. While it was a sweet story, the last about 50% was completely filler. Nothing really happened besides Elyssa being upset and Jaxon trying to fix it - for no apparent reason. I found it lacking and reread the entire thing in a day just to be sure.
