365 Days Of Inspiration

Rate this book
365 Days Of Inspiration combines Dr. Hill’s maxims with time tested thoughts from around the world. Motivational ideas in literary works and spiritual writings abound now and in ages past. Linking these thoughts together gives the reader additional insight, depth of understanding, and an opportunity to assimilate the short message and make it their own.

As you read the thought for the day, reflect on it and see how it applies to you as you journey toward your success. At one point in time, Dr. Hill called these maxims “Mental Vitamins.” Good thoughts produce good outcomes. W. Clement Stone, Dr. Hill’s friend and business partner, states: “In a novel, the author writers the conclusion; in a self-help book, the reader writes the conclusion by the action he takes.” What you think about, you become. Think on these thing, and become the very best you can be! Do it now!

Oliver Napoleon Hill was an American self-help author and conman. He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the best-selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success".
Hill is a controversial figure. Accused of fraud, modern historians also doubt many of his claims, such as that he met Andrew Carnegie and that he was an attorney.

This isn't a story, but a collection of thoughts that have stories in them. I liked it A LOT. It really inspired me and made me think about different things in my life. I could feel the positivity coming into my life and I felt like I would always like to have something like this running through my head.

2/29/24 I still like it.

I listened to it as an audiobook. Would definitely not recommend you do the same.
Most suitable as a "daily devotion" type book. Where you keep next to your bedside table and read the daily blurb in the morning and perhaps meditate on it for the day ahead. This was almost impossible to do as an audiobook. Based on Napoleon Hills theories and information. But definitely updated to some degree as mentions of Apple CEOs and Margaret Thatcher etc. But also speaks about nutritional info that's super out dated. So it's a bit of an odd one. Contains many clichés, truisms and other tit bits that are pretty superficial. As a supplement to other practices may be helpful but otherwise I found not what I expected. Also very strongly leaning to old school religious practices which I found stuff and outdated and irrelevant to a positive action plan. That's just my opinion.

A series of maxims regarding positive and good work ethics.

Great to meditate on daily, vs audiobook, but it's still a bloody good book.

Could be good to play in the background to be seeding positive attitude.

I do think that some parts of post capitalism does tend to take advantage of hardworking young, self motivated staff.
so some of these great attitudes from the 1940s can be somewhat tricky in some companies but on balance this approach is great.

Great daily motivation

The first and only daily motivational books I've read that did not repeat the same concepts over and over. Everyday a new thought that builds on an overall theme.

What do you want from life and what have you to give in return that entitles you to it?

Those who create good fellowship among others will never be short of friends.

When adversity overtakes you it pays to be thankful it was not worse instead of worrying over your misfortune.

These and more are inspiring quotes from Napoleon Hill. An invaluable source of inspiration, motivation and ideas for each day. Who doesn't need to be inspired? A very good book to read.

I purchased this book for my husband to encourage him. However, I think I might read it more than he does! I love quotes and this book is full of great ones! I highly recommend it for daily motivation.

Great book for someone who read few self-development book. For someone who's seeking self-development in depth, this book is not the one. With quite a lot good quotes, it's a quick read without much comprehension required.
