Gila! Gila! Gila!

This review is only for And Then There Were None. I’d already read Murder on the Orient Express and not yet read Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

I love how the 10 were put together and how their backstory and guilt were established. The children’s nursery rhyme that apparently inspired the murders were a touch of genius but it also gave you the that creepy feeling when reading murder mysteries.

The only thing that was anticlimax to me was how not even the police could figure out who the killer was. I would have liked to read about how the murders were solved and how the killer uncovered, and not by reading what was basically a suicide note 😅

So for that this earned only a 3.75/5 stars from me (rounding it up to 4).

I finished this in three days. These are the first Agatha Christie books that I read. I can say that she is really a great detective novelist. I loved these all and I want to read her other books. The fact that can I finished these books in three days means that her stories are easy to read. As I was reading, I was taking a mental note of the facts that are presented hoping that they may be relevant clues in finding out who the real murderer is. Agatha keeps her readers interested as the story gets more and more exciting. I had fun in the first book, "And Then There Were None." The twist at the end was unbelievable. I had no idea it was him because I thought he was dead. I think this first book set the mood for me to read the next one, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. It was so unbelievably cool. I repeated reading the name of the culprit again and again when it is revealed because I couldn't really fathom the idea. So far this is the best book that I read during my quarantine period. Now I understand more the concept of 'unreliable narrator.' Because of this book, I was thinking about the narrators of the books that I read in the past. If in this second book, my momentum was really really high, the last book kinda toned that down a bit. It was hard to find out who the killer is if everyone has a motive. The ending was unexpected.

Suka seri ini. Tiga karya Agatha Cristie dalam satu buku. Dan ini adalah pengalaman pertama membaca karyanya.

Sangat menarik. Suka. Apakah saya ketagihan cerita Agatha Christie? Kita lihat saj ananti.

This book started of very interesting…It was just the perfect mystery novel until the middle. The middle’s confusion was a bit overdone which makes you rethink everything and get a bit confused (not in a good way) But overall it depends on the person you are. I am not a very patient person. It got quite frustrating for me.

Karya Agatha Christie Pilihan Favorit Pembaca Sedunia. Berisi 3 judul kisah petualangan Hercule Poirot.

1. Lalu semuanya lenyap
2. Pembunuhan diorient express
3. Pembunuhan atas Roger Ackroyd

*Lalu Semuanya Lenyap, And Then There Were None*

Tiba-tiba terjadi rentetan kejadian maut satu-persatu diantara mereka mati. Dan kematianya sesuai syair 10 anak negro. Panik mencekam karna pulau itu menjadi pulau maut.

*Pembunuhan Di Orient Express, Murder On The Orient Express*

*Pembunuhan atas Roger Ackroyd. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd*

I have already finished reading all the three books of this wonderful set and would like to recommend it to almost everyone, no matter if you are a reader or not, love this genre or not, because I know Christie can never fail to captivate you and make you fall in love with her writings. All the three books has a great storyline which ends with a extraordinary twist.
.
Among the three books, And Then There Were None became my favourite. Because of it's unexpected ending which blew my mind. Throughout the story I tried to connect dots and guess the culprit but in the end Christie turns the plot upside down.
.
The Murder On The Orient Express also had a very uncommon plot which you can never solve without the help of brilliant belgian detective, Hercule Poirot. The story involves many interesting characters and are given equal space to bloom.
.
Murder Of Roger Ackroyd was quite interesting and exciting as it drew close to the climax of the murder case. The atmosphere was also well crafted, making the reader breathless as the mystery unfolded to the unexpected ending. Moreover I loved the minute details Christie used to make it more realistic.

Judul2nya :

And Then There Were None.
Murder on The Orient Express.
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

and then there were none: dua kali baca & masih mencekam. walau pas baca ulang udah tau siapa pembunuhnya, tapi tetep aja clueless lohh.

murder on the orient express : what a revenge! menikmati khayalan poirot sebagai 'sutradara' di sini. gak sabar juga nunggu filmnya! (now whenever i'm talking about this book, what's going on my head is... believer-imagine dragons :D)

the murder of roger ackyord : i thought mr. sheppard was like mr. hasting, gak taunya... meh :/. nyebelin waktu suratnya udah di tangan ackyord, mau dibaca, eh... *meh again* ya tapi kalau kebaca yaa kelar cerita. btw, lewat tokoh caroline, agatha ini mau muji-muji perempuan / bikin gr apa ya *lhaa kok baper dewe*, secara caroline ini punya insting tajam &... seems knowing everything?

Seru banget !!!

Buku ini berisi 3 kumpulan karya Agatha Christie pilihan terfavorit pembaca edisi Bahasa Indonesia, yaitu dari judul bahasa Inggris "And There Were None", "Murder on The Orient Express" dan "The Murder of Roger Ackyord".

Setiap baca buku Agatha Christie, pasti bawaannya mau menebak siapa sih pelaku pembunuhnya.

And Then There Were None, The Orient Express, The Murder of Roger Acroyd.
Buatku pribadi, cerita paling favorit karya Christie masih dipegang The Murder of Roger Acroyd. So unexpected! I finished it just for a day.

Review only for ‘The Murder of Roger Ackroyd’:
This book has completely shocked me. I did not expect Dr. Shepard to have been the murderer but he was. I read the postscript at the end of the book and the writer said “Christie fooled you”, that she did. I really like M. Poirot’s character, I found him quite cute. For some reason I did not like Caroline - the doctors sister. I found her very fourth straight and I do not like that type of personality. I was surprised with Ursula Bourne’s marriage to Ralph Paton - I did not expect that. I didn’t like Flora Ackroyds character, I found her quite whiny and annoying. My favourite character in the novel would have been M. Poirot.

I love them so much, all three of these books are very interesting. And Then There Were None leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat and constantly guessing and working things out. The Murder on the Orient Express is also great, I like that we get to see all of the interviews with the suspects from Poirot's perspective. The Murder of Roger Acroyd, the twist wasn't news to me, I managed to figure out who murdered Mr Acroyed before the end of the book but I like that it was very thought out and plotted well.

Awal baca kisah pertama tuh "ohh fix ini pembunuhnya dia" makin tegang tapi abis itu "ohhh bukan dia, tapi jelas sih" pas ending "ini apaan anjirr ditipu gue"

Overall, semua 3 kisah disini keren banget bahkan pengupasannya juga gak kalah mencengangkan. Cuma paling cepet baca sih yang then there were none ya karena pengen tau siapa yang mati selanjutnya dan tau² pelakunya si ini sampe gak percaya baca lagi ulang kek anjirr gila gila. Hanya aja butuh konsentrasi banget baca ini, mayan heavy buatku tapi ini cocok buat yang mau mendalami agatha christie as pemula gitu. Recommended

Just read Murder on Oriental Express, i like her narrations, especially her description of the personality of the chatacters. The Frenchness, Americanness, Britishness and Italianess are so nostalgic in reading. More than enough of stereotyping in soving the case... I wonder if its plot is possible for such a culturally diverse society we have today. The luxury of the train brings me to the old days, personal and delicate.

Gak usah ditanya, ceritanya memang bagus. Udah gue review di tiap kisahnya; And Then there were None, The Murder on the Orient Express dan The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

Jadi buat gue radaa yaa ganggu gitu. Tapi isi ceritanya baguuuusss
