This book changed my life. This is the book that started this long, hard tedious journey of becoming a trans man. Before this book, I felt that there was no place for me. As if I would never fit in. I didn't identify as lesbian and I had never come to terms with being a woman. What was outside and what was inside lay juxtapose. Before this book, I had never heard of FTM (female to male transsexuals), I had only heard of MTF (Male to Female transsexuals). I thought I had no place or space in society or in life. This book saved me. It scooped me out of the constant cycle of suicide and breathed life into my shattered existence. Without this book I wouldn't be who I am let alone be here today.
