I want to sit by window at a British men’s club, drinking some scotch and contemplating the rise and fall of civilizations, world powers, and humanity. I also want to hack into one of my student’s Chromebook and take an AR test to see how I would score on this book! I thought the authors did an amazing job arranging information and I will definitely be referencing this book for the rest of my life to know what was going on in different parts of the world at the same time. It is amazing how far humans come since the Stone Age. 🤯

Timelines of World History by Jane Chisholm. I love books from Usborne Publishing, they publish many good picture books, similar to DK books. This book is really dense with human history, starting from the rise of humans and the rise of civilization up until the year 2000. This book also compares different cultures from the same time, such as those in Asia, Europe, America, and Africa, allowing you to explore and appreciate their similarities and differences during the same era.

I like the way this book shows what things are happening at the same time across the world. There were only a few typos that I saw in the book, but I do wish that it went past the year 2000. Also, it could really do with a good map.
