I was looking forward to this book when I first heard about it and I can honestly say that this is by far the best that I have come across of M.S. Parker's books, I love the story line, the plot and the characters. The story came alive whilst I was reading through it and I could see it clearly in my head.

I loved reading about Chelsea as she has done well for herself considering when she was younger her mother abandoned both her and her younger brother Zach and their father was also killed in a car crash. She managed to look after herself growing up but she was also worried about Zach as he was diagnosed as Autism when he was younger and however now she is in college and is hoping to secure enough money to help pay for Zach's place in a programme that specifically helps with children who have Autism.
The only way that Chelsea has found that can help her get the money is by applying for a job as a cleaning lady at a bachelors house where she would spend the summer there working. Chelsea didn't want to be away from Zach and her friends and foster family but she knew that the only way she could help her brother was to take on this job. However the last thing that she was expecting was to fall for Alex, since meeting him her world has turned completely upside down but she can't help but feel that there is something there. Little does she know that she was originally hired as a joke to annoy Alex's father but even after she became aware of that Alex still decided to keep her on as staff.

Alex was sure what to expect when Chelsea turned up at his manor to work for him but the moment he saw her he didn't know what was going on in his head or heart but he could tell that this was going to be an interesting few months. Things start to go well between the two of them but as soon as they start to become close there seems to be one women who is trying to get in the way and that's April, she is currently been chosen to star in Alex's movie that he's starting to make. However it becomes clear to Chelsea that April will do anything she can to keep her away from Alex.

Will things ever become right for them or will it always be April standing in the way.
Will Chelsea manage till the end of summer so that she can pay to help her brother. Honestly this is such a heart-warming story that I fell in love with. I can't express the emotions that I felt whilst reading it. I love that Chelsea tries her hardest to do what's right but still I liked that she tried to have a little fun for herself as well. I recommend that if you were to read any of M.S. Parker's books then it should be this one.

A full length novel, Indecent Encounter will keep you captivated throughout the story. Alex and Chelsea work hard to keep their attraction from interfering with their jobs. Unfortunately, while things heat up, other people command their attention and attempt to sabotage their relationship. Can Chelsea trust her first impression of her boss? Will she stand tall and complete her summer job or run back home? Will Alex ever be able to explain his thoughts or just continue to step around the more uncomfortable situations that arise? M.S. Parker has done it again! I love her writing and this once again was a huge favorite. A definite read!

College Student Chelsea Carerra heads overseas in Holland to work because it offers really good money and she needs it to help pay for her brother's care and upkeep in an expensive school he needs. Her brother has Autism , her father was killed when she was younger and she is the only one that is taking care of him so she goes to college and works to take care of him . The job she has is to be a cleaning lady for this bachelor in the summer .

She goes over and ends up falling for the bachelor, Alex Silverhaus, who is also the owner of a film company. Alex really only hired Chelsea for one reason and its not the reason she thought. When he sees her , all thoughts of what he was originally going to do go out of his head. He is immediately attracted to her and she is to him as well. Everything is going great until April shows up and she is the leading lady of Alex's latest movie. She is up to no good only Alex doesnt see it.

There is secrets, betrayals, lies , angst, pain, passion, hope and joy threaded throughout this story. I loved how the author worked it in. The ending is fantastic although I would have liked an epilogue that showed them a year or two down the road but that is ok, this was a great story and I cannot wait for the next story to come out.

My rating: 4.9 stars *****

This full length book was very well done, the characters were fresh and intelligent with Chelsea and Alex hitting it off with their first encounter. Secondary characters the butler Jamison, Carrie and the little niece Emily, added depth and love and family to this story. The most terrible actress April, brought out the worst in all of the characters, bring self doubt, insecurity and fear to the minds of everyone she interacted with.

"One simple birthday kiss, and he'd knocked me to my knees. I'd never felt anyting like this before, and I was at a complete loss in how to deal with it."

"Chelsea aroused me almost as much as she confused me."

"Jamison valued me enough to enlist my help, not just for cleaning cupboards, but for the one thing most important to him, and that made me feel worthy to be here after all. The question was, did Alex feel the same way." This question plagued Chelsea for the best part of the book.

"Now figure out what you want and go get it, kiddo."

"Momma says she's your puzzle peice, Emily had said. "You just fit together."

I could go on and on with great quotes, but this book was chalk full of them. Excellent writing, maybe not as much love making as other books by this author but the story made up for any of that.

4.5 Star Review of Indecent Encounter by M.S. Parker
M.S. Parker has done it again. Secrets, lies, deception, misunderstandings, all against the background of Holland.
When Chelsea Carerra, a college student accepts a job as a maid in Holland, she doesn’t know what she is letting herself in for. She needs money to assist her autistic brother.
Alex Silverhaus, isn't who she thinks he is. For starters, he is not old, a young, rich playboy who makes movies.
The chemistry between them is off the charts. She clearly expected to be working as a maid and not falling for her handsome employer. The attraction is mutual and all appears to be moving ahead when April, the star of Alex’s movies decides to interfere. April is determined to wreak havoc and cause as much trouble between Alex and Chelsea as she can.
I will admit to being frustrated that Chelsea was so naïve, but overall I really liked her and Alex, separately and together.
Can Alex and Chelsea move past all the secrets and lies?
I have read several books by M.S.Parker and as with the others, this was well written and a thoroughly enjoyable read. Her style of writing captures your interest and attention. She makes you feel a part of the story.

I really enjoyed reading about Alex & Chelsea. Chelsea takes a summer job that pays well so she can get her autistic brother into a program that will help him. Chelsea doesn't realize exactly what the website is really for. Alex hired a maid for the summer from a website to embarrass his dad but when he meets Chelsea, he is struck by how beautiful she is. Chelsea doesn't know what Alex does for a living and once she does she doesn't understand why he lied. Alex has his own film he wants to make and his father has an actress in line but hearing who it is Alex doesn't want April Temple anywhere near him but his father won't listen. April will do anything to make herself center of attention. She is staying with Alex and does everything to make Chelsea jealous. Alex wants Chelsea and Chelsea wants Alex but April had her own plans. When Alex thinks Chelsea should work somewhere, everything falls apart. Can Alex make it right and win Chelsea back? Another amazing story that I couldn't put down.

What a wild ride this book is. A too good to be true summer job lands one college student halfway around the world to earn some serious money to help her mentally ill brother. Only she is in the dark as to what is really going on.

A mega movie producer playing a prank on his over bearing father, does not know what he is getting himself into, one look and he is gone. This is going to be one long summer.

The twists and turns and secrets, missed opportunities, wacky starlets, and just down right craziness. This book has it all. I was totally surprised and drawn in, not wanting to put it down until it was over. M.S Parker never lets me down, I love her writing; 5 solid stars!!!

Chelsea Carerra, thought a summer away in Holland as a maid would provide everything she needed to secure her autistic brothers future. At the end of summer she'd go back to the States and what little family she had left there. Although, walking thru the doors at the Silverhaus mansion never did she think that her life would forever be changed. There would be many misinterpretations along the way,and many lost words. But in the end would the truth lead Chelsea and Alex to find their way to each other?

Things aren't always what they seem. Alex and Chelsea had so much chemistry between the two of them. Multiple communication issues and drama queens put this love affair to the test. This was a great read and my first from M.S. Parker.

I give it a 3.5 stars. I would it more stars but towards the end there was just stupid drama like it was obvious Alex's farther was bad news so I don't get why in the end when she went to go work for a friend of his fathers and he knew they were up to no good he thought the worst of Chelsea when he knew better it just really piss me off. Then when she returns he acts like he it he wants her when he didn't believe and accused her of being basically a gold digger or something like that. Before this there was drama but it didn't really go anywhere because they knew what was going was nothing with people who interfered in there relationship.

Whoa drama filled

If you thought miscommunication or misinterpretation was possible....this is the right book to read. Always enjoy M. S. Parker books. Could not believe all the drama and words not spoken to form so many misunderstandings. Drama from Queen Wiggle Scream, lmao!! Yikes that could have been some spin off. Looking forward to the novella to find out what happens afterwards. Hope there is a baby!!!!

An interesting book.

This book was very well written. The hero was a eastward, totally irredeemable. I liked the heroine, she had tremendous strength of character, she was a great woman. I also liked the tertiary characters, they were all well portrayed, especially April. M.S. Parker has strayed from her normal template, it was a good choice.

Disappointment

I've read almost all of this author's Amazon books and I have to say this one was very disappointing. Way too many chapters to tell this story. Didn't care for the ending. Too long of a story to have a boring non climatic ending.

Chelsea Carerra is a college student in need of money to put her younger brother in a better program to help with his Autism, so she went on online and found the perfect paying maid job to help her out. What she didn’t expect was that her employer Alex Silverhaus to be nothing like his profile. The life as head of Silver House Productions is nothing less than dramatic. Can Chelsea get through the summer with her heart intact or will the drama be too much for her to handle?

Chelsea Carerra was orphaned at the age of eight, leaving her with a brother who needed more help than the foster family who took them in could handle. Chelsea may have been adopted by her foster parents but she remains close with her brother Karl who is in a state facility. The problem is Karl isn’t getting the care he needs to flourish but Chelsea found a program that will give him just what he needs. Too bad it cost more than a college student’s makes. Chelsea is an independent young woman who lost so much as a child but ended up as one of the lucky one to get an amazing set of foster parents and siblings. Chelsea wouldn’t know where she’d be if she didn’t have her parents and Zach, her foster brother.

Alex Silverhaus grew up with everything but parents who actually spent time with him. His butler Jameson is a great substitute father and has always been there for him. His father Henry Silverhaus owned a flourishing production company so Alex grew up around Hollywood. Alex is a known playboy who is trying to get his own movies made, even though his father thinks he’s wasting his time. Meanwhile running the family business is just as a stepping stone to what he really wants to do. Alex is a man who know what he wants but when it comes to the execution, he isn’t so good at that. Living in his brother’s shadow of bad choices, Henry makes sure Alex knows just what he expects from his son, perfection.

Posting as his father and hiring Chelsea off a website that’s known for woman who are looking for “Sugar Daddies” was suppose to be a joke but the joke was on Alex when Chelsea showed up to the house. Chelsea was told by her best friend Clara that she was being naïve to think that her new employer just wanted summer help but Chelsea needed the money for her brother and ended up in Alex’s office. Use to being sought after because of his connection to Hollywood he chose Chelsea because she didn’t state that she was looking to break into acting. What Alex actual found was the one woman who made him want more than just a few nights together. All it took was just one handshake to change everything for Alex. He hadn’t planned on Chelsea to be more than just an employee but she was a breath of fresh air, on that he had a hard time keeping his thoughts clean. When these two were in the same room you could feel the sizzle of attraction between them. It’s not just a simmering attraction but explosive chemistry that everyone in the room could feel. After being volunteered (told) that he had to house the new star of his move, an attention hogging, jealous starlets April Temple in the residents only adds to problems to the already intense house.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review and boy did M.S. Parker keep me on my toes. If you ever wondered what it could be like to live a Hollywood style life, this book sure shows how drama just finds you, even when you’re not looking for it. No matter what you think is going to happen, M.S. Parker throws you off track by adding the next bit of drama. No matter how hard they try, Alex and Chelsea can’t seem to catch a break. If it’s not one drama in the house causing a commotion, and another appears. Alex may have grown up in this world but his idea of handling a problem is not quite what I thought. The crazy lives of these two kept me guessing what was going to happen next. It was a ride of emotions and getting your hopes up only to be disappointed at times while other times you’re fist pumping “yes” cause you finally got it right. M.S. Parker hit this one out of the park!!

description

Indecent Encounter: The Silverhouse affair by M.S. Parker was a great 5 star read.
All I have to say is I want to be a maid so I can find someone like Alex.

Chelsea takes a maid job for the summer in Holland to make money to take care of her younger brother Zach. When she meets Alex for the first time she can’t help but have an attraction to him, he is hot. Definitely not what she was expecting.

Alex works in the movie industry and is used to getting any woman he wants. When he meets Chelsea it is an instant attraction and he can’t get her out of his mind.
If she knew what I was thinking, she’d probably slap me.

Alex and Jamison surprise Chelsea with a birthday dinner. There is something about Chelsea that really intrigues Alex and when they finally come together oh my. As the story moves forward we meet April an actress that will be working on Alex’s latest movie. She can see the connection that Alex and Chelsea have and starts to cause problems.

I can’t say that I really cared for Alex’s dad Henry, he was a huge @ss. And don’t get me started on April, ugh. I encountered several emotions while reading. We also discover several secrets, deceitfulness, betrayal and in the end love. M.S. Parker did a great job of pulling me in and I couldn’t stop turning the pages. This is a must read and I highly recommend you 1-click and get started.

I really enjoyed this book. There are some issues that I have with it, but overall a fairly good read.
Chelsea is a young woman who is, from an early age, overly responsible for her age. I couldnt really relate much to her even though she seemed to be intelligent at times, she also was beyond naive for a woman of her age, and life experience. Chelsea and Karls mom vanishes when they are very young. And even though thats a huge thing for a child, thats all the author says about it. Then when Chelsea is 8 their father is killed in an auto accident. Now present day more or less, Chelsea is taking care of a severely Autistic younger brother, going to college full time (a Junior at that), AND living on her own. So as a way to pay for a specialized institute for her brother she accepts a summer job being a live in maid. Here is another little oddity for me. Shes gone the foster system for years, so much tragedy in such a young life span, AND is finishing her 3rd year of college (living on campus) and she doesnt see anything unusual about a 3 month maid job in another country for $20,000? OK so that aside, she arrives in another country to start her temp job. For the most part, the story continues well after that.
Alex, what can I say? OK I am married so I KNOW we all feel our spouses are clueless at times. But Alex really seems to take this to another level. He really seems to have NO idea. Some of the misunderstandings are realistic. There are just a few too many for me. I do not typically enjoy books that are just one fumbled misunderstanding after another. Every time he tries to fix things he literally makes them worse. And neither of them ever just says "WTH, wait a minute." Im not too sure how it is they "love" each other since the author never really focuses an them doing anything but a few things here and there. (aside from the hot steamy sex)
Now for the things I DO like. (well more specifically) I do like the over all characters. Alex, is an honest, down to earth young man. Chelsea is hard working, with more class and sophisticated morals than most. Absolutely LOVE Jamison, and Carrie. And my heart aches for Zach. The author did a very good job getting the readers to notice all the characters without forcing them down our throats. I felt the steamy scenes really heated the pages up, they too flowed well and naturally. It wasnt at all stiff(oh wow no pun intentional), nor was I ever left scratching my head wondering what had happened.

This was my first M.S. PARKER book, and I’m pretty sure it won’t be the last. I didn’t know what to expect from this book, but my Oh my was it good!! It’s definitely a good read.
How would you feel if everything was ok, or at least you thought it was but then suddenly it ALL changed? For Chelsea everything was fine until he left. She didn’t want him to leave, but who would listen to her.
Ever since that night nothing has been the same, Chelsea and her brother have had to grow up with only each other. Now that Chelsea is grown, she will do whatever it takes so that her brother gets the help he needs. That even includes flying across the world and working as a maid. That’s what she thinks the job will be, but she gets a surprise when she arrives at her destination.
With only work on her mind, Chelsea has no time for the opposite sex, better yet; she had no time for love in her life. The only thing that keeps her going is the thought of her brother’s well being. Landing in Holland changes that. She arrives at a beautiful home where she finds “her boss”. To her surprise, her boss is fairly young. Not old as pictured online. She doesn’t mind that because, well, she’s there for work. Little does she know, she’s part of a joke.

Alex Silverhaus, rich playboy/movie producer. He hired Chelsea as a joke he was playing on his dad. He was trying to get back at him for not taking him serious, for being cold. Well, let’s just say there’s more to Chelsea than meets the eye. His joke backfires, yes, it made his dad angry and embarrassed, but now Alex “feels” something. He wants to keep Chelsea there with him, he doesn’t know why he feels like that but he’s sure of what he wants.
Both Chelsea and Alex begin to feel the same towards each other and begin getting “close”. Everything seems to be rolling just fine until April shows up. She’s currently starring in a movie being produced by Alex and his father, but she wants more than just a role. She wants Alex. Will she be able to accomplish that? Or will Alex and Chelsea’s bond not be broken?
