Five amazing, moving Karuk stories from Northern California. Each story is presented three ways: in Karuk language, in a literal translation into English, and in more standard English. Reading all three gives a rich sense of sound, feel, cadence and word play of Karuk literature. I wish this could be an audio book. I would love to hear all three versions in the voice of Julian Lang.
