Sometimes you can find vintage books like this one at your local used bookstore or thrift shop. Cheap and with a glorious Pino cover … ponder that embrace! An interesting story … wagon train on the Oregon Trail, 21 young women recruited as mail order brides to marry farmers in Oregon.
Phoebe Conn was a popular author back in the 1980s and 90s … I read her books, don’t remember which ones. Savage Storm (1985) is the story of “Luscious Gabrielle” and the wagon master “raven haired Jason … he needed a wench.” Plenty of flowery sex scenes, many misunderstandings but a too short ending…. still, it’s a good escapist read. Not all books are 5 stars … this one is probably a 3 or 4. Don’t pass up Conn’s HRs, some are also available cheap as ebooks and a few are KU.
