Author's note:

Bethany Montgomery’s peaceful life is shattered when an alien ship crashes near her isolated South Texas ranch. She rescues the huge feline pilot before a murderous gang of local ranchers can capture him. She’s determined to protect him. Falling in love with him isn’t part of her plan, but her heart won’t listen.
Vren, a D’Lyrian warrior, survives the crash, but he’s not out of danger. The locals think the only good alien is a dead one, and they’re hot on his trail. The human female who comes to his aid doesn’t seem to fear him, even after he hisses at her for grabbing his tail. Coupling with her should be the last thing on his mind, but her scent calls to him. Has he finally found his life mate only to lose her?

This was a nice quick paranormal romance. When Vren's ship crash lands on a hostile section of Earth Vren knows he has to get away. While fleeing Vren is hurt. Bethany saw the crash and is out to investigate. When she hits an animal Bethany is shocked to see she actually hit Vren. Knowing others who hate aliens aren't far behind Bethany helps Vren hiding him at her home. Both feel the attraction but Vren knows that is against the rules and both know very soon the people against aliens will be knocking on Bethany's door. Not being able to deny the attraction both give in. As the unexpected happens Vren's rescued, but the humans who hate all aliens aren't far behind.

This was a really good alien romance. Vren is very different from humans and that made this book interesting, as well as reading about his species traditions and beliefs. I do wish we had a longer ending or even an epilogue to show us what happens in the future because the ending was quick and their are questions left open. Vren is very possessive and jealous and a great hero. Bethany is brave and strong and a very likable heroine. We get a glimpse into book three and I am hoping the questions will be answered. This was a great novella I highly recommend.
** This is the first book I read from this series and I had no problem following along. I don't know what or who book one is about but I never felt lost or like I was missing anything.

Hello everyone!
As I promised, I said I'd review this next book, that follows the Alien Love Book series. I read this one before book 1, so I read Fantasy Warrior just to be fair in my reviews. Although the stories are not related, the setting is the same. So I thought I should read the first before posting this review. And I'm glad I did.I noticed many things! So on to the review!!!

Where to begin?
description

Summary:
This book is set in the same context or world, that Jaylee introduced us to in the first book. Aliens have made first contact already. They are on the news, they've established an alliance and they are very real. Which was expected, due to the first book. Not many humans, as always, are happy with this, but it is a real known fact. There are many alien species in this alliance, aside from the Taurans presented in Fantasy Warrior. And so we meet the D’Lyrians, an interesting, hot, feline, alien race! Yes!

description

Vren is a part of... a surveilance team lets say...For incoming parties with ill intentions, like the Krell. In persuit of one of the krellian ships, Vren's own aircraft gets damaged and crashes on Earth. South of Texas more specifically... And that is how he meets Bethany Montgomery. Who is willing to help, but she has never met or dealt with aliens before. And because her neighbors are alien haters, she needs to get him to safety.

Objectively. Aside from the fact that I'm sucker for any type feline alien or shapeshifters...

Yes Tygra... Your mere presence explains everything!. lol!
This book was purrrfect!

Points to consider:

- Massive improvement from the first book. Short, entertaining and perfect pace.
-A little more world building pieces to understand how things have progressed. And although it's minor, it is noticable.
-Not much character build up, but the characters in this story blossom. Likable, relatable, lovable and believable. From how they meet, to how they interact, to how they become to understand and like each other is flawless.
-Beth is strong, nice, normal and funny. She is such a wonderfull character, it makes me wish I knew more about her. She makes me wish there was character build up. Jaylee does such a wonderful job in making her humanly lovable and the kind of woman that could be easily an epic heroine in a lengthy novel.

-Vren...OMG! Vren. God help us if this Earth is ever invaded by his race...He is strong, pure, funny and adorably complex. In a good way! The detailes in his internal debate, his reactions, his feline senses, and every reaction is so well described. You really buy the alien culture and differences they have with humans, with Beth specially. Jaylee has taken her sweet time describing the alien aside from the physicall appearance so well, I couldn't help but question this crazy admiration that came over me. She didn't make him perfect. She made him alien, like he is supposed to be. Applause!!!

My idea of Vren...(cough!)

Enough of that then. Back to the review!

-She even placed much appreciated scenes to understand the D’Lyrians in customs and culture. Would've loved it to be more lengthy, but it was enough to understand him.
-The plot is not too complex or original. It's fairly simple and well narrated. It flows and is acceptable.
-The variety of aliens is plus!
-Massive progress in pace and story development. It's appealing, enthralling and it grabs you from start to finish. Like a sweet chocolate bar! It doesn't last long, but it so tasty and memorable!
-The sex was sweet, hot and made my brain explode. Really! There is so much chemistry! From the way it starts to how it evolves. From steamy to passionate and demanding. PURRRRRFECT!
-I wanted more story to it. Yes I wanted it to be more than one-shot short book. And despite the whole story being sort of cliche, Jaylee's personal touch, makes it fresh and new in so many aspects. Deffinitely becoming my next fav writer.

Liked this one, every time they talked about Vren's tail I kept looking at our cat and laughing my butt off.

I hope the next one is Shelly's and possibly a menage?

Odd Coupling by author Jaylee Davis has a great premise for a story. Vren is an alpha male who is from another planet. He crash lands on Earth and meets Bethany. She helps him recover. In the process they find love.
Well the idea is great. However there are some hiccups with the execution of this book. I for one was really confused at the emotional jumps the character of Bethany has. One minute she is tough and really likeable then we veer off into somewhere else and she is clingy and whiny. She is a very moody girl.
Then there is Vren. We got to know a lot about his tail in this book, and his well body parts. Much more than I really was interested in knowing about specially his cock. I cannot say that was sexy for me at all.
The weird choppy writing also had me rereading over and over to get the content of the book for this review. I just couldn’t get into this one. I am very sad to say that because the premise is really great. I think this story needed another pair of eyes so they could tell the author when they were being cliché or just plain veering off track. The one really great thing I can say about this book is the cover is just wonderful. Really is the cover artist to this book is amazing.

I really, really liked it! But it felt so unfinished ....

It was a really good story ,I wanna say great because I really liked Bethany and Vren but their story just didn't feel finished....
In the eyes of his ppl they were a mated couple yes! But things
Felt unfinished on Earth , were they a couple in their eyes? What about her Brother she was supposedly close to? Or Shelly? What happened to her? Seemed like for a minute their one of the other alien officers had quote taken a liking to her or a shine to her, what happened there? And it would also be cool to know the odds/info was wrong and Bethany could indeed have a cute lil cub or two with Vren...... Summary Great Characters and interesting story, just story ended before it was done, like a road ending before it got you where you needed to go....

Sweet Read and another great addition to this wonderfully sexy alien mates!

I thoroughly enjoyed this second book, makes me want to purr too. I'm only sorry it was over wished there was an epilogue to give a nice finish to their story with maybe a hint of maybe future stories / characters since its inception is definitely intriguing. Check out both of the books can be read alone but I'm recommending you want to see what happens with these alien hotties.

Vren's spacecraft crashes near Bethany's ranch and although she hits him with her truck she does save him from a group of alien haters. The two are definitely attracted to each other and Vren soon realizes Bethany is his mate. Of course there's still the problem of how to get Vren off planet without the notice of the alien haters. Read to find out if Vren and Bethany can overcome their problems but most importantly their cultural differences. >_<

I liked this story as much as I liked the first book in the series.
I liked both the heroine and the hero.
It's a bit violent at the beginning, which I didn't mind but some might not like it.
The hero has a tail and almost cat like ears he is also kind of covered in stripes like a tiger but has a long mane as well. For some this may smack of bestiality...but he is a humanoid alien Species...total make believe, with their own customs and traditions.

Very entertaining!

I really loved this story about a human female who rescues an alien male after his ship crashes on Earth. He crashed in an area that had a lot of anti-aliens humans living there, and Bethany's ranch was right in the middle. The hero, Vren, is a feline humanoid and Bethany finds him extremely sexy and has an undeniable attraction to him. This is a great book to read and has a HEA ending. I do wish Jaylee Davis would write more in this series!

Erotic Paranormal Romance

It was a very enjoyable, good plot line; you really get to know the characters and feel for them. I loved everything this book offer; that I read it from cover to cover without putting it down. Looking forward to reading more books about the rest of the characters mention on both books, especially, Theron ( Kord's friend ).

Good book but it is a little too short and seemed kind of rushed toward the end.
