Wow! I loved this so much! A beautifully illustrated, “Cooking 101” kind of comic book, guiding the reader through basic techniques, tips & tricks, and equipment for the aspiring chef. Highly recommend to anyone new to cooking, even just home cooks, because it’s written so accessibly and without condescension. I’ll definitely be buying myself a copy after I return this one to the library.

A nice instructional comic with beautiful art, but there are typos that annoyed me. Includes some good basics about cooking, but would have been nice to see some commentary about how to be creative given the introduction by the writer.

A fun comic that teaches different cooking techniques with two-ish recipes per technique, including 19 recipes. Sort of a funny amount of recipes to have this as a recipe book, but I could see this being a great resource to beginning cooks, or kids cooks.

This is such a great comic cookbook. The instructions are clear. Not just clear... engaging. And the advice is excellent. I learned so much!

Lots of beginner cooking techniques for a home cook like me, who only learned from my mother! It’s nice to know how to properly do things around the kitchen and also to have my bad habits corrected. The illustrations are amazing and the instructions are easy to follow; however, the editing done in this book wasn’t meticulous enough as I found several typos. With that aside, I’d still have this book handy in the kitchen for a long time as a quick get-to.
