This is part of a series, which I have to admit that I have not read before - something I intend to remedy. I enjoyed it as a standalone, although I am sure that there would have been even more depth if I had known the characters already.
The story revolves around a court case, and two 'friends with benefits' who are heavily involved in the case. The main plot is interesting, and the romance is hot, sexy and fulfilling. I liked the outcome of both! The writing is smooth, and the pages almost turned themselves, as I couldn't leave the book until I had finished it. For a relatively short story, I got a lot of enjoyment, and an excellent sense of the place, the people and the issues that they faced. I will definitely be adding the previous books to my wishlist and look out for future installments.

Not as developed a story as her past works. Has she quit writing? I plan on reading the whole list of books again. I have genuinely enjoyed the time I spent reading these stories and the parallels to real life.
