My life just went South…

Twenty-four hours. That’s how long it took my life to flip upside down.

Wake up in bed alone after the best night of my life? Check.

Get fired instead of the promised promotion? Check.

Wealthy parents cut me off when I refuse to follow their path for my life? Check.

Now I’m in Cricket Creek, SC—a place where no New Yorker belongs—disowned and broke, with a new job that I can’t mess up. Oh yeah, and staring at my one-night stand, who happens to be the complete opposite of my type.

Southern.

Cocky.

Bartender.

Noah Hunter never should have made it back to my apartment in NYC, and I definitely shouldn’t be in his small town. But fate had another plan. Or a horrible sense of humor.

Who knew Mr. Wrong could feel so right…

No Falling Allowed, the 2nd book in the No Kissing Allowed Series, was very cute. It works well as a standalone. I didn't read the first book and I was fine. This book was a quick, funny, and very charming read. I was smiling like a sap or laughing the whole book. I liked both Grace and Noah. Noah was cocky, sexy, but at the same time sweet, loving, and protective of those he loved. Noah had a lot of loss in his life and he held his brother close and tried to shut everyone else out. Grace was a rich girl who wanted to make her own way in the world. She was independent, sassy, brave, and sweet. Grace had a lot of insecurities and feelings like she was never good enough that she hid behind a mask of confidence.

Noah and Grace were smokin' hot together. They had a strong connection that came through the pages. I thought Noah's little brother Jonah was cute. Especially the way he made everyone say sorry to God if they said God's name in vain. I loved the besties vibes that Grace, Cameron, and Lauren were putting out. There was some awesome girl bonding going on. I was sad for the thing that happened at the end of the book to Lauren and I would love for her to get her own book. I think I may go back and read Cam and Aidan's book too. I haven't read anything from Melissa West before but I clicked with her writing style. I enjoyed everything about this book. The only reason it's a 4 star and not 5 is I wanted more. I wished it was longer so I could have got deeper with Grace and Noah. I also would have liked a epilogue that showed more Than a few days into their future. I wanted to see a few years down the road. Still this book was a great, low angst, sweet read.

I enjoyed this one a lot. It was very readable and fairly low angst, with likable characters and a little heat.

description

Grace is a New York socialite trying to step out of her family's shadow and forge her own career. I liked Grace for the most part. There were a couple parts where I felt she came off a bit snobby (the first scene in the B&B in particular) but overall she was a great heroine. Noah was a small town guy shouldering the responsibilities of raising his brother and running the family bar after they died. I liked Noah, but there were parts where he his whole "woe is me" attitude kind of annoyed me. He seem to jump to conclusions and get angry whenever anyone suggested he was aloud a life. I loved his relationship with his brother though. The secondary characters were great, and I loved the small town feel of Cricket Creek.

I did have a couple of issues that brought my rating down a bit. One, Noah's backstory with his parents death etc isn't really that well fleshed out. Even when he tells Grace about it, it is glossed over. I needed a bit more details to help me understand his guilt and almost fanatical need to be there for his brother. I also found the romance between Grace and Noah to be missing something. I didn't feel they spent enough time together to be declaring "I Love You" Lastly, I am an epilogue girl, and this needed a better epilogue.

Overall though, this will hit the spot for many readers who love their romances on the sweet side. With no cheating or OW/OM drama.

No Falling Allowed was a beautifully written, entertaining and heartwarming read.

I loved Grace and Noah/Hunter, they were both such likable, relatable and entertaining characters. The connection/attraction between them was strong and very believable.
It warmed my heart watching Noah/Hunter and Grace come together, with all their insecurities and fears they slowly open up to each other to bring down the walls protecting their hearts to let the other one in and love unconditionally. Sigh... these two <3

Can be read as a standalone.

No Falling Allowed is a quick sweet read. Although you'll see some of the characters from Book 1, this can be read as a standalone.

Grace Soaring is a woman that just wants to be seen as a normal person. Some people feel nervous and intimidated around her because she is the daughter of one of the richest men alive. Think of her as Bill Gate's daughter.

When Noah visits NYC to take a break from life, he flirts and challenges Grace. He doesn't know who she is. He just see's a beautiful woman that knows what she wants.

They have one beautiful night together, but he needs to go back to his country town. Cricket Creek.

Grace's parents doesn't see the point of her being an event planner. They call it a hobby. This leads to her getting cutoff from her elite credit cards and full bank accounts, which also drives her to work harder.

When she gets a job to plan a wedding, she ends up in the same town as Noah. Sparks fly, but can they have to overcome their differences?

I really enjoyed this story, and I can't wait for the next book.

So I basically devoured this book in about 3 hours because I couldn’t stop reading. I know authors probably hate that after all the time and hard work they put into a book, but it’s a testament to how engrossed I was in this story that I just couldn’t put it down!

I loved the first book in this companion series and I had high expectations for this second one … and I wasn’t disappointed. I can now count West among my go-to NA authors for sure!
Grace and Hunter couldn’t be more different. He’s from a small town in Alabama, and she lives in the bustle of NYC. He’s a bartender who just wants to make sure his brother knows he’s safe and secure and she has aspirations to do things for herself without falling back on the family name.
From their first meeting there were sparks and I absolutely loved how sure Hunter was of himself.

“Maybe you’ll change your mind.”
“I won’t.”
The corner of his mouth curved up. “Something tells me you will. See you in a few hours sweetheart,” he said, the moment passing and the arrogance returning in full force. Before I could reply, he turned and walked slowly down the stairs, every female set of eyes following him like hand he alone could answer all of their prayers.

I think what I liked most about this story were the characters. I really found myself loving Grace. She has the world handed to her on a platter and instead of just taking the hand out, she is determined to make a name for herself doing what she loves and I love that she stands up to her parents no matter the consequence… and believe me there are consequences! I just love strong female characters and she’s exactly that, but you also know that she loves her family and friends fiercely!

Hunter… you guys are about to find your new crush! He has the weight of the world on his shoulders … or so it seems. He’s determined as well, but in a slightly different way. Since the death of his parents he’s made it his mission to be the parents his younger brother no longer has, and if that means sacrificing any dreams he may have had for himself, so be it. And he’s seriously sexy you guys!

Hunter and Grace meet totally by chance, like I said he’s from Cricket Creek, Alabama and she’s from NYC but meet they do, and they have an amazing night together… but when Grace wakes up Hunter is gone without a note or anything. She chalks it up to a one-night stand… her first and last. But fate has something else in store for these two, and when they reunite, the sparks are there more than ever. But they both have baggage that they need to work out and it’s definitely not going to be easy.

I have to also point out that West has created some wonderful female friendships in this companion series and I was so excited to see some of Cameron and Aiden and I am really excited for the next book in this series as well especially because I think it’s going to be Lauren!

West really hits on some wonderful things here… the importance of friends and family, and making our own way in the world, something that will really work for fans of the NA genre. If you haven’t picked up a Melissa West book yet, I urge you to get one (the first book in this series is only $.99 right now!) and dive right in! I promise you won’t be disappointed, this had everything I love in a good NA, fun characters, a sweet story that will have you turning pages, a strong willed, head strong woman, and a sexy, southern bartender who you won’t be able to resist!

Thank you to the publisher for an early copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Melissa West has me totally smitten with her No Kissing Allowed Series. After reading the first book of this series, I was hooked and couldn’t get enough of these feel good sweet romance stories. And in her newest installment, No Falling Allowed, Melissa West has me falling hard and begging for more of Noah Hunter and Grace Soaring.

photo eae038974582d1f7a09fbdc8f642f0_zps38r7smp6.gif “I drew him in more, loving the feel of him in my mouth, the small pleasure noises he made without realizing it. God, the man had ruined me, and I didn’t know how I’d ever recover.”

Grace Soaring is the daughter of a self-made billionaire. Money should not be an issue for her since she has daddy’s Amex card and is living in New York apartment that cost more than people’s mortgages. But what people don’t realize is that Grace Soaring doesn’t want to be defined as the daughter as one of the most successful businessman. Grace took a different career path to the dismay of her parents. But standing on her own two feet is what Grace prides herself on. She has a great job working at the MET and has two best friends that she can rely on. She is living and surviving the concrete jungle of New York City. And so when she meets a stranger at a bar and they hit it off, things progress so fast and soon Grace finds herself taking Hunter back home with her. In that one night, they shared a connection of passion and possibly more. But what happens when Hunter leaves the next day without any word or note and then later in the morning, Grace discovers that she was part of mass lay-off in the MET. Could life for Grace get any worst?

#NofallingAllowed

When Noah Hunter met Grace, he felt an instant connection to her and wanted to spend more time with her but when a family emergency has him rushing to go back home, he regrets how he didn’t tell Grace he had to go. Noah has dedicated his life to his baby brother since their parents died in a fatal crash. His life consisted of work, his brother, work, work, work, and taking care of his brother. And so there was no room for love in Noah’s life that is until Grace appeared in the small Southern town of Cricket Creek.

When Grace decided to take up a wedding planning job, her first assignment was in Cricket Creek, South Carolina. And it so happens the wedding ceremony is taking place at Noah Hunter’s restaurant/bar property. Noah is completely shocked to see Grace and tries to explain why he had to rush out in the early morning. As much as Grace tries to stay angry with him, she finds herself letting her guards down and letting him. And soon, Grace truly sees Noah, a man who has sacrificed his life in providing for his baby brother. Noah is a simple Southern man who is beloved by the townspeople. As Noah and Grace begin to explore their relationship, what happens when Grace’s time in Cricket Creek comes to an end and she has to return to back to New York? Will Noah’s insecurity of not having enough money stop him from pursuing Grace? Will Grace be able to show Noah that all she wants is him? As Grace falls hard for Noah, will he be able to catch her fall?

No Falling Allowed was one of those sweet reads that will have you totally smitten with West’s charming and beautiful prose. I have always been a sucker when it comes to small town romance and I love that majority of the story line took place in Cricket Creek. I adore the town’s people of Cricket Creek as people tried to meddle and push Noah and Grace together. I think what drew me into enjoying this book was the simplicity of the story and the main focus of Noah and Grace. I love that readers were able to witness their vulnerabilities and insecurities but together these two were able to help and heal each other. So if you are looking for a sweet, charming love story that weaves the elements of friendship and self-discovery then I suggest you fall for Melissa West’s No Falling Allowed.

No Falling Allowed Review on K-Books

There are seriously no words to explain how much of a fan of Melissa West's I am. Ever since I was lucky enough to get her YA debut Gravity for review from Entangled Teen, I have been obsessed. When Melissa asked me to start BETA reading for her I just about started crying and having heart failure I was so excited. I loved the first book in this series, No Kissing Allowed and No Falling Allowed absolutely did not disappoint. Right from the very start my inner fangirl was completely squealing for being able to read this book.

Grace was such an incredible main character and completely relatable to the audience. She has been kind of suppressed by her family, who will not allow her to follow her own dreams. When she meets Noah, a sexy but cocky bartender he is usually the kind of guy that she avoids. He is just too risky for her perfect life. But sparks fly and when they find themselves in the same small town due to Grace's new job it's hard for Grace to remember just why she should stay away from Noah.

I absolutely adored this book. The two main characters are awesome. I find Grace to relatable and awesome and Noah is just the kind of guy that every romance book needs. He is funny and sexy with confidence just overlapping into cockiness. I loved both of the characters as they met and flirted and genuinelly this book is hilarious.

I couldn't stop reading. Once again Melissa drew me in on that first page and wouldn't let me go. I finished this book in one sitting. I was forgetting that I even had to eat... it was more important for me to finish this book. I haven't found a book that grabbed me like that for such a long long time.

No Falling Allowed was everything I ever could have wanted in a book. It was utter perfection and I loved every single moment of it. If you're going to read one New Adult Contemporary book this year make sure it is this one. Coming from someone who is very very particular about NA books and who isn't impressed by a lot of them this one is without a doubt one of the best ones you will ever read.

I received a free copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Three and a half stars.

Grace Soaring is the daughter of a mobile phone billionaire and she works as an events planner for the Met in New York. She has a one night stand with a hot barman after she has to tell him to leave the Met for drinking on the job (in his defence he had finished his job).

When Grace gets made redundant (why do American novels always refer to redundancy as being fired? People are fired for being bad at their job or doing something wrong, people are made redundant through no fault of their own because their employer is in financial difficulties. Two different things) she gets a job with a wedding planner and her first assignment is a wedding in Cricket Creek, South Carolina - the town where Noah Hunter, her one night stand lives.

Noah runs a bar/ restaurant and is little brother's legal guardian. He doesn't have room in his life for anything else. Especially not a beautiful New Yorker.

I enjoyed this novel, Grace and Noah were both likeable characters and Jonah was a cute moppet. I did however feel that the pacing of the novel felt 'off'. The set up of the plot took nearly half of the novel and by about 75% through I was resigned to the novel having a cliffhanger because I was sure it couldn't reach a climax and conclusion with the remaining pages. The big misunderstanding blew up out of nowhere and was resolved just as quickly. But that was my only issue.

I will definitely look out for more books by Melissa West.

Bumped for release.

I liked some of the other books Melissa had written, so I was interested in this one.

Grace and Noah are authentically nice people. They're genuine and friendly and i enjoyed getting to be in each of their heads. I really liked the banter and chemistry between them. An added bonus was that aside from a bit of drama with each of their families, this was just a big ball of fluff.

Loved the southern town and the nosy, meddling townspeople. I would absolutely love a book with Scarlett. The plot was sweet, I mean, who doesn't like weddings?

Overall, a cute and quick read. I'll definitely be looking for more from the series.

My favorite read in 2016! No Falling Allowed takes the new adult genre to another level, and West has created a series world I would happily stay in forever. Grace and Hunter are phenomenal characters. They have depth and rough edges, a sense of spirit that leaps off the pages. Their journey to love isn't easy, but it's real, it's sexy, and it's a whole lot of fun :)

Hey there! So, I'm asked a fair amount about the next book after NO KISSING ALLOWED, and this is it! Yay! This is Grace's story, it's a standalone, so you do not need to read NKA to check this one out, but for fans of the first book, I think you're going to have a lot of fun with this one!

Things to expect:

1. A sexy bartender who tells it like it is and has become my favorite of my heroes.
2. A sassy heroine who fights for what she wants and doesn't give up.
3. A funny town, filled with even funnier characters.
4. Smexy, smexy fun that begins early and continues the tension throughout the book. Yum!
5. The answer to whether Cameron and Aidan from NKA will actually get married. :)

This book releases this July 2016, and if you would like to check out the cover early, please sign up for my newsletter! http://www.melissawestauthor.com/news...

I got the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and I really loved it :) first of all, don't be discouraged by the fact that it's a part of a series, because it works perfectly well as a standalone :) although you will be curious about that first book after finishing this one ;) at least I definitely am ;) but more about that in a moment :) it was a sweet and short contemporary romance, and even though I had some problems with it, I had to give it a full 5 stars rating... ;) mainly because I could not put it down and after starting it one evening, I finished it that same day around 1 AM ;) but the writing style was sooooo good ;) I blame it on the writing style... ;) yep, that is my version and I am sticking to it ;)

So let me tell you a bit more about our main couple :) and it's not as easy to do as you might think, because I don't want to spoil you half of the book ;) especially since the story is not very long :) so if I'm being vague... it's totally on purpose :) Grace and Noah, both of them in their mid-twenties, meet one night in New York :) he's only visiting for one weekend, and even though she finds him too arrogant at first, he charms his way into her apartment... and I cannot blame her... I would cave as well ;) they spend the night together and the he disappears... little does she know, he had a very important reason to leave in the middle of the night... and yes, that is one of the spoilers I will not share with you here ;) next day is not a very good one, after waking up alone, getting fired and then cut off by her parents after not falling in line like her father would want, things are not exactly looking up for Grace :) but that changes when she gets a new job that takes her to... yeah, you guessed it :) straight to the little southern town where Noah lives :) and that's all the details I can share with you without spoiling the best parts of the book :) what I will say is that I really enjoyed their story... :) yes, it was a bit short and I would really love to read more about their interactions and how they got to know each other better, but overall it didn't diminish my pleasure of reading the book :)

Besides the main couple there were of course quite a few secondary characters, but I can't talk about all of them :) we would be here all day if I did :) so instead, I will focus on Cameron and Lauren :) they are both friends of Grace, and Cameron is actually the heroine of the first book in this series :) I loved her here, along with her husband-to-be ;) so now I am even more curious about their story :) definitely added it to my tbr #BookMountain :) and Lauren... I am assuming that she will be the heroine of the next story... or maybe it's just me and my wishful thinking cause I would love to read about her more :) both of them, along with other wonderful people we met in this book added awesomeness to this story :) and there are a few of them that I would really talk to you about more, but again... with my #NoSpoilers rule, I can't :)

What I loved about this book the most is definitely the writing style :) not only we had 2 POVs, and you know how I love that in books :) but the style itself was hilarious and made the chapters just flew by... :) the story had so much super fun moments, but there were a few of the more emotional as well... :) it's my first book written by this lovely author, but based on how much I loved it, definitely not the last :) so if you are looking for a short but lovely story, definitely give this book a try :)

I have a few quotes for you, to show you a glimpse into the book, but since they are from the ARC version, the finished one might be slightly different ;) happy reading :)

The very first few sentences from the book :) and I knew it will be fun ;)
"'Hummingbird to Eagle, over.'"
'Janey, seriously.'
I looked over the gala in search of Janey, wondering why I'd been stupid enough to give her a headset. It was a charity event, not some CIA mission.
'Hummingbird to Eagle, over.'
Clearly, she'd missed the memo."

Part of a conversation between Grace and Noah :)
"'But maybe...'
'If you're scared, just say it. Wouldn't be the first woman intimidated by my charm.'
A small smile played at her lips, and I knew I was close. 'I'm not scared.'
Once more our eyes locked, 'So prove it.'
'You are trouble, you know that?'
'You have no idea.'

Part of a conversation between Grace and Lindy, one of the people in that small town ;)
"'Okay, I'm sorry, but I've waited long enough.'
I glanced around. 'I'm... sorry?'
'Noah.'
I almost fell over as I spun around in search of him. 'Where?' Is he everywhere here? Can't a girl get a break?'
'No, he's not here. But goodness, you should have seen your face. What exactly happened between you and our most eligible bachelor?'"

And the last one with the main couple :)
"'You okay?'
'Me?'
'Your eyes were closed.'
I glanced over at him, and if not for the darkening sky, he would have been able to see the blush on my face. 'No, they weren't. I was blinking.'
'For several long seconds?' he joked.
'What? A girl can't blink for too long in your presence?'"

XOXO

I have to assume that by now you know that Melissa West is one of my go to authors as I love her YA, NA, and adult romance books and I know that if I pick up a book by her, I will get what I want in a good book; great characters, an engaging story, and in some cases…some lovely romance. No Falling Allowed is the companion story to West’s previous NA, No Kissing Allowed and just like that book, this one hooked me immediately and I couldn’t put it down. No Falling Allowed gives us Grace and Noah’s stories and I loved these characters so much.

Grace grew up in a well-known, influential family and she has fought hard to get where she is on her own without relying on her father’s name. Hunter on the other hand, has not had an easy time of things and while visiting family in New York, and on one of the most important nights of Grace’s career, these two meet and the story goes forward from there. There is an immediate attraction between Grace and Hunter and they end up going back to her apartment but when Grace wakes up in the morning, Hunter is gone.

As I mentioned, Grace has her family to fall back on if she wanted to but when she loses her job she makes the decision to go against her father’s wishes to join his company and with that decision, she is cut off from all the financial support he has given her. When Grace is introduced to a new opportunity with a Wedding Planning company, she finds herself in Cricket Creek, SC.

I’m not going to give a lot of Hunter’s story away but be prepared my friends…he might just be your next book boyfriend. I loved everything about him…he challenges Grace, loves his brother and is pretty darn swoony. Unfortunately Hunter carries a lot on his shoulders and he doesn’t like to rely on others. Because of this, he isn’t really living his life but he continues to think about Grace, even though she lives in New York and he live in…you guessed it, Cricket Creek, SC.

I loved how West built the story around these characters and despite their setbacks, they are both very strong and motivated. Another thing I love about all of West’s stories is the friendships she writes. Grace’s girlfriends are there for her just like she is there for them and Noah has so much support from the people around him even though he doesn’t always want to take them up on their offers of help.

Of course, the other thing West does well is develop the swoony parts too. I loved these two together and they are probably one of my favorite couples from West. They have the romance, the sexy times, and of course the development of the relationship / friendship between these two was fantastic.

That’s about all I want to tell you about this one because trust me, you will want to read what happens yourself. This one is listed as a book two but you don’t have to read No Kissing Allowed to dive right into this book. Now, with that said, you definitely should read it because it is fantastic (Cameron and Aidan are some other great characters…)!

I know I have said this before, and you probably will hear me say it again. If you love romance and great stories, you need to pick up not only this book, but Melissa West’s other books. They always keep me turning the pages because I can’t wait to find out what happens and they also leave me wanting to know more about how the characters end up.

Take one young woman, the daughter of a self-made billionaire business man, who doesn't want to work in her father's business but does want to be an event planner and get her to meet a handsome, hardworking, bar owner and guardian to his nine year old brother . . . . Life's about to get interesting for both of them!

After a highly successful event at the Met, she spots one of the servers having a drink at the bar. He turns out to be Noah Hunter. He challenges her to meet him at his cousin's bar - and her friends make sure she ends up there. That's the start of a night neither will forget but it is also the night he received a call that sent him racing home, without even leaving a note, waking her up or exchanging phone details. Grace Soaring certainly isn't used to being treated like this but she's also not sure why it hurts so much. Then have her lose her job then get cut off by her parents for not joining the family company. Her life is on a downward slide . . . until she's offered a new wedding event planning role - and the first job is in Noah's home town! What will fate have in store for these two now? Will they reconnect with each other? With such a difference in upbringing, his family obligations and wealth, do they stand any chance of a HEA together?

The folks of Cricket Creek are brilliant, feisty, not totally money orientated but caring and aware of each other's needs - and very nosey, too! Everyone expects to know everyone else's business and to have the right to voice their own opinion. Grace certainly isn't used to this at all - nor is she used to being so aware of someone like she is Noah. Get ready for some brilliant secondary characters, plenty of angst and turmoil as well as a well written, highly entertaining and heart warming romance.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for gifting me an ARC of this in exchange for my honest review.

No Falling Allowed brings back the trope of having a hookup, only to see them back in their life again when they hadn’t expected to.

Grace has been rich her whole life, but when she gets fired from her job and doesn’t want to work for her father, she gets cut off. When she follows a new job prospect, she doesn’t think she would run into Noah Hunter again. Their attraction for each other is evident, but that doesn’t mean they are ready to be together.

I liked this book. It was an easy read and was on the light side. Both Grace and Noah had things holding them back from each other. While I admired Noah’s drive to take care of his brother, I didn’t truly understand why he had such a strong will about not being in a relationship.

Though they weren’t sure about starting something together, there was definitely people who were pushing them to be together and I enjoyed that. They needed a little push to get started. I liked being able to see Grace find herself without being connected to her parents and their money. She proved that her happiness means more than the luxuries her parents provided.

No Falling Allowed was a cute summer read. This was the second book I’ve read by Melissa West, and I’m glad I’ve found this author. I’m hoping that there will be another book in this series and that it will be Lauren’s book. ~ Leah, 4 stars

What happens when fate decides two people from different worlds belong together? Well the answer is simple. Random meetings, sparks flying and hot as hell sex.

I wasn’t sure I would like Grace after the little I remembered of her from the first book but Melissa wrote her character so well that I loved her. She was the ultimate poor little rich girl but once I got to know her I realised she was so much more. I so wanted her to be loved and to get everything she had worked so hard for.

Arc Netgalley: probably too underdeveloped or too short because insta-love was full blast. Still a sweet story but awkward in not knowing each other while proclaiming love.

There's something refreshing about Melissa West's writing and the second book in this series, No Falling Allowed was amusing, entertaining and sexy but more than that I loved the way this couple met, the differences between them, the lessons they learned and the fact that from the first time they touched they could not forget each other despite the miles between them.

In less than 24 hours Grace Soaring's life completely changed; she had a one night stand with a man she connected with like no other and he disappeared, she was fired from a job that she truly loved and because he refused to join her father's company she was cut off financially. Noah Hunter never intended to meet a woman that intrigues him like no other while on a sabbatical in New York, nor does he expect to have to leave her when an emergency arises at home and while he believes it's for the best given the fact they live in two very different worlds he hasn't been able to get Grace out of head so when she walks into his bar in Cricket Creek, South Carolina he wonders if it was fate until she makes it quite clear that him leaving without a trace is something she's not likely to forgive.

This is one of those books where I really loved both of the main characters. I admired Grace for not kowtowing to her father's demands, for wanting to make something of herself on her own and despite being scared taking a job that she wasn't sure about but thought she'd be a good fit for. She was sweet, kind and sensitive but she also didn't let anyone run over her. Honestly I believe she was a good person and while she was raised in a life of luxury and enjoyed the finer things in life it was easy to see that she understood she was lucky and she didn't look down on people. For being so young, Noah had a lot on his plate but he seemed to handle it all fairly easily. Sure he had backup and help, but he loved his bar and he was determined to be a good role model and stand in dad to his younger brother, Jonah. I liked that he put Jonah first, that he was a good friend and boss and that despite everything that had happened in his life he was a fairly upbeat person.

Together these two had chemistry that was easy to see and while they both tried to deny their feelings everyone around them could see it from miles away. They had some obstacles to overcome; they both made some crucial mistakes but with some time, distance and the help of some really good friends they figured it out. My one complaint about this story is that both Noah and his brother Jonah suffered PTSD nightmares from the tragedy that took their parents, and while it was brought up, it was never discussed if they were getting treatment or counseling and Noah didn't really discuss these issues with Grace. I just felt this was an important part of them and she deserved to have knowledge and understanding of the situation.

No Falling Allowed offered up a playful, fun and sexy romance but with so much heart and emotion that it was extremely well rounded and a delight to read.

No Falling Allowed is a new adult contemporary romance by Melissa West. It is the second book in the No Kissing Allowed series. I liked the first book, No Kissing Allowed, but I didn’t love it as much as some of Melissa’s other books. The good news is, I liked No Falling Allowed a lot more than I liked the first book. No Falling Allowed is a fun, quick and flirty new adult romance. Each of the books in the series can be read as a standalone. I think fans of the first book would enjoy reading about Cameron and Aiden because they do pop up from time to time in this story, and we get to see what is next for them. However; if you are new to the series, you might want to consider reading No Falling Allowed first, because I really enjoyed this one a good bit more than No Kissing Allowed.

No Falling Allowed is Grace’s story. We met Grace in the first book, but we didn’t get to meet her sexy bartender match- Noah until this book. And I have to say- I really liked Noah. Him and Grace no doubt have chemistry between the two of them, and their dialogue cracked me up!
No Falling Allowed Teaser 2

No Falling Allowed is a book that just clicked for me. I loved the small town setting, and I loved that this was a new adult small town romance. I don’t read too many of those. And I am really loving bartenders at the moment. And Noah is a great one, let me tell you! And Grace is even better. Most of my issues with No Kissing Allowed centered around the main character, Cameron. I had no issues with Grace, and I think that is why I enjoyed reading her story more. Noah is the one that pulls some major butthead moves in this story. But there is still something about him. He has this magnetic personality. You can’t help but forgive him. Even though Noah annoyed me at times with his aloof attitude, what made him different from Cameron was that Noah seemed to real and nuanced, whereas Cameron just seemed annoying to me. Noah and Grace are fantastically developed and realistically flawed. It makes their romance even more satisfying.

Bottom line: I love Melissa’s easy and conversational writing style. It made reading this book feel good. If you are looking a quick and fun read, and you like small town “bad boy” romances new adult style, this might be a great one for you. And like I said, I do hope that Melissa West makes stories for the rest of Cameron’s friends from book one. I want to see Lauren next!

“I glanced up, wishing with all my heart I wouldn’t find those deep blue eyes staring back at me. It was that night all over again, him seeing and reading so much more than I wanted to share. So much more than anyone else had ever seen.”

“You called me Noah.” My breathing slowed, the name settling over me, warming me. So few people called me Noah that it always sounded foreign, but from Grace it sounded like coming home.

Melissa West!! You have done it again!! You have once again written something so brilliant, and so swoon-worthy, that I am just blown away. Now, I LOVED No Kissing Allowed, so when I heard about No Falling Allowed, my expectations were high. And let me tell you, Melissa West took my expectations, crumbled them up and totally blew them out of the water.

Told from dual points of view, No Falling Allowed follows the story of Noah and Grace. From the moment we meet these two characters, the sparks are instant and there is a whole will they/won’t they element introduced. So, of course when Noah and Grace agree to spend one night together, I couldn’t help but jump for joy. You just knew from the connection and chemistry that they had that this moment, this one night was going to be a game changer…..Only they don’t know that yet. When an emergency pulls Noah away in the middle of the night, Grace doesn’t think she’s ever going to see him again….But, fate has other plans of course. Fate brings Noah and Grace back together and shows them that what they have is real and worth pursuing. Their road to HEA isn’t going to be an easy one, and at the end of the day, all you can do is just sit back, enjoy the ride and watch how it will all play out…

Simply put, No Falling Allowed is brilliant. It is well written and captivating. You can tell that a lot of heart and soul went into writing this book. One of the things that I love about Melissa West is how real her stories are. Her characters have real problems, they’re not always perfect and struggle like the rest of us. Their stories are easy to relate to. Noah and Grace stole my heart from the very beginning. Their chemistry was instant and had me rooting for them the entire time. This book hit all my marks as far as angst and romance go. There was plenty of steam and frustrating moments to boot. And moments that left me with tears in my eyes–happy tears of course. No Falling Allowed gave me everything I wanted and more. If you’re a fan of swoon-worthy NA romance, then look no further and grab your copy of No Falling Allowed today. You will not regret it!

No Falling Allowed is the type of heart-warming romance perfect for escaping real life for a few hours.

We were first introduced to Grace in No Kissing Allowed as one of Cameron's best friends, I desperately wanted her to have her own story and my wish was granted :) Grace has grown up in a world of privilege, but there are also certain expectations placed on her through her family that Grace refuses to conform, wanting to carve out her own path. Although she is comfortable with the financial stability her family offer. That is until an ultimatum from her father finds Grace in a position she never expected, having to budget - the horror ;) Carving out her own path is surprisingly easy for Grace, she is sassy and intelligent, not afraid of hard work and passionate about her chosen career- wedding/event planning. I adored her ability for witty comebacks. Unfortunately, her self-esteem takes a hit without her parents support; Grace feels as if she is a disappointment to them :( She has learned to suppress her emotions alongside her feelings of inadequacy. Something she has in common with the delectable Noah.

A chance encounter in a bar while Noah is visiting family in New York crosses paths with Grace. Destiny certainly plays a hand in getting these two together. Their chemistry is undeniable wrapped in flirty banter.

Noah's life couldn't be more different from Grace's as well as geographically inconvenient. Noah has a weight of responsibility on his shoulders as the guardian to his nine-year-old brother following the death of his parents. Noah has changed his life in order to take care of his brother. While carrying the burden of guilt over the accident that killed his parents. Noah denies himself happiness, although he is unable to forget the feelings Grace stirs in him.

Fate takes a helping hand, throwing Grace into Noah's path with her new job and career opportunities. The dual narrative helps with understanding the issues Noah and Grace face on their journey to togetherness. There really is no fighting destiny, fate has a way of bringing people together in the most unexpected ways.

While I loved the romance in No Falling Allowed, I particularly enjoyed the way in which Grace grew in confidence throughout the narrative. She finally had the courage to go after the life she wanted yet retained the ability to compromise.

Melissa West certainly knows how to produce the warm and fuzzies.

2.5 Stars, 3 Flames

Grace’s life on the outside seems perfect. Dream job at the Met, killer apartment in the best area of New York, two amazing friends, and parents who although quite pushy and interfering, living in the same city. Forgot to mention the hottie from down south who rocked her world…then promptly left. Which seemed to have a snowball effect on her because she then lost her job and her parents said if she doesn’t take her position as CEO if the family business they cut her off (which she doesn’t take). Realizing her only shot as proving her worth is a wedding planner gig in the same city hottie from down south is, Cricket Creek.

Sounds interesting? Yeah that’s what got me too. The blurb is what reeled me in and left me floating without nothing to hold on to. I can say that it was a fun read as it had me laughing from time to time. I could honestly say that Grace is one of my least favorite heroines in the last few years. She had the total snob thing going on both inside and out. I mean I can never put myself in her shoes, well because their Louboutin, so it is hard for me to sympathize with her. She was paying over $8,000 for her apartment, one that she said was nothing!! Okay, Grace-induced rant over.

Noah is the bartender that has shook up Grace’s life and left without a word. He needed a weekend escape where he meets Grace when something happens to Jacob. He believed that him leaving even for the weekend was selfish and he needed to straighten out his priorities. He has learned from his share of mistakes and is doing his best for his brother. Sparks fly when he and Grace see each other again but both do not want commitment even though the connection they share is so strong.

Overall, a good read but had me skimming through because I could not stand the characters. Even the supporting characters were hard to like, Lindy, Lauren and Cameron, EEK!

I was gifted a copy from the JeepDiva in exchange for an honest review. The opinions and ratings are solely my own and I was in no way compensated.

In Book #1 No Kissing Allowed we met Cameron and read her story on how she met Aidan Truitt who would become her boss and eventually her boyfriend. In Book #2 No Falling Allowed, we are reunited with Cameron and Aidan as they are finally getting married and this book is the story of one of Cameron's friends Grace. Grace is the daughter of a billionaire and heir to his fortune on one condition that she comes and works for the family business. The thing is though that Grace is not set-up for the corporate life and wants to gain her own experiences and do what she loves which is event planning. When her job at the Met is lost due to budget cutbacks, Grace is given two options - finally come and work for her Dad and their business or her now ex-boss has offered her a small job working as a wedding planner in the South. If Grace takes that job then her family have decided to cut her off. Will Grace take the job or will her priority be having wealth ? During one of her Met events , Grace meets a bartender filling in for his cousin Hunter and they hit it off and eventually have a one night stand. Hunter leaves due to commitments and since they never will see one another again , they leave it at that. That is until this book shows readers, that even in fictional worlds - the world can be small and the whole six degrees of separation kicks in to play as Grace's job sends her to Cricket Creek - home of Noah Hunter and his bar Hunter's Place happens to be one of the venues for the wedding that Grace is planning . Has destiny and fate given the pair a second chance at happiness or will this encounter prove awkward and make them understand that what they had was a one-off thing and that in their lives , sticking by the "No Falling Allowed" rule is vital.

ARC received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

When I got this ARC I knew almost nothing about this series or this author, but after reading this book I can already say that I am a fan. So much so that I will definitely read ‘No Kissing Allowed’, the first book in this series - which I also got an ARC.

When I first read this blurb, I was really interested in the plot, it sounded just my type of book, and - THANK GOD - I wasn’t wrong. The writing is captivating, which got me totally hooked to the story and made me read the entire book in just a few hours.

I really enjoyed Grace, a character who didn’t use the excuse of having lots and lots of money to be a bitch. Yes, sometimes her pride was evident, but only because she is a really strong woman who believes in her destiny. I loved how she fought for her life and didn’t let her fortune or her “easy” life get the best of herself.

Noah Hunter also didn’t disappoint. With a huge sense of responsibility (and guilty), Noah is an amazing man who takes care of his life and the lives of those he loves.

Even though, their love was kind of an instant love, it was actually really real for me. Plus, the drama wasn’t used to prolong the book, which I really appreciate.

The secondary characters were also very important to the story; not only her best friends - Cameron, from the first book in the series and Lauren, from the third -, but all the others were really amazing.

I strongly recommend this book for all of those who love a good romance; and I assure you it'll keep you interested since the first line.

Review: 4 ½ out of 5 stars

No Falling Allowed was a one day read for me, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment; it was a feel good, romantic read that had me hooked from the first page. Melissa West is an auto-buy for me, her books never fail to disappoint.

I loved our MC Grace in the previous book No Kissing Allowed so I was excited to learn that she’d have her own book and paired with smexy bartender Noah Hunter, it was a match made in heaven despite their differences.

Grace is a character that I adored, she is fiercely independent despite her family background and wanted nothing more than to follow her own dreams rather than be forced into a career in her father’s successful business.

Within a short period of time Grace has lost her job, was cut off by her parents and had the best one night stand with a guy who left her without even a note! She was on a bit of a downer until a job opportunity came her way and she ended up in the small town of Cricket Creek and in front of her one night stand, Noah Hunter.

Noah and Grace couldn’t have been more different, they were from different worlds but they connected and he understood her; his life also wasn’t easy, I won’t go into his backstory but I ended up loving their connection and his sexy southern charm.

The setting of Cricket Creek was great! I enjoyed the amazing cast of characters there; they were a nosy bunch but they were close and bought some humour to the story.

This is another fabulous book from Melissa West, her characters and storylines always draw me in and leave me anxious for more. I am super excited for her next book.

More Reviews Here: Readers Live A Thousand Lives

This one was really sweet and I had fun reading it. Melissa West is so good at delivering a super sweet romance. I love that it was relatively drama free and just a good romance.

Grace is not the most relatable character. She grew up in a way most people just cannot relate to. But she is a character you can respect and I think that’s important. I may not understand what its like to be her, but I respected her decisions and desire to make something of herself on her own. Most people in her situation would have been content to take the world handed to them on a platter, but not Grace. With Noah I have a love/hate relationship. He is a fantastic guy and the way he is with his brother is too sweet for words. But he is also a guy and therefore dumb. Sometimes I wanted to take him and shake him cause boy would make rash decisions and be dumb. In the end I did like him though and I loved them together.

Even with the romance, I think my favorite thing about this one was the relationship between Grace, Cameron, and Lauren. I am such a big fan of positive female frienships and I love these three and that they are always there for one another. I also loved seeing a super awesome Aidan and Cameron moment.

No Falling Allowed was a sweet romance and its perfect when you need a quick no nonsense read.

Five Sweet Stars! Grace is the daughter of a very wealthy father, and she works as an event planner in NYC. Grace's parents don't see her job as a real job and they cut her off from access to any of their money which causes her to work harder. Noah comes from a small town and is raising his brother while running the bar. He meets Grace on a trip to NYC and they share one beautiful night together. Grace is offered a job in the same town as Noah lives and ends up seeing him again. What will happen when they see each other and sparks ignite, will they be able to overcome their differences? This is a very sweet, well written story of two great characters. I was hooked from the first chapter and thoroughly enjoyed the story! If you are looking for a good summer read then definitely one click this! This is the second book in the No Kissing Allowed Series and can be read as a stand-alone novel.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club.

I can't begin to tell you how much I loved this book. I picked it up yesterday thinking I would start it and finish it today. Nope, couldn't put it down! I fell in love with Noah and Grace immediately. This one is definitely going on my top ten for the year. The pairing of the NY socialite and the southern small town guy was brilliant to begin with, throw in a group of meddling townspeople, the small town flair I love and the cutest kid ever and you have a fantastic read. While they deal with family loyalty, location issues, and life goal differences you can't help but feel the love grow between Noah and Grace. This is a fun, sexy read that I will definitely be recommending to everyone I know!

You wanna know what hooked me into reading this book? "...fate had another plan. Or a horrible sense of humor." That's from the blurb. And I LOVE reading about fate's humor LOL

Melissa West did an excellent job with this story. It was very entertaining and had a high feel-good meter to it. I smiled pretty much the entire time I read it! And best of all, it delivered on sexy just as much :) The book left me content and just plain happy :)
