Yes it's the turn of Dale Homme to have his story told and what a corker it is! I was so intrigued by him in the previous book Mated with the Cyborg and to see him in his element running his factory really made my day. Dale might be a cyborg but even he at times needs to rely on others and when a crucial project keeps going awry it's time to recruit experienced programmers to run even more diagnostics . A handful of applicants are brought to Deceptico but straight away the small young woman who looks uncomfortable has trouble written all over her so why does Dale ignore his better judgement and offer her the job? There's just something about Illumina that screams out she is hiding and if danger is following her than Dale is just the cyborg to take charge!
The author has written a story that I didn't want to put down. I loved that Illumina might be small and seemingly delicate but she is a lot stronger and more wily than she realises. She is hiding from someone who really wants to see her dead but she isn't prepared to let others suffer for her. Now Dale is just about everything you want in a romantic hero. Tall, protective and not afraid to go after what he wants and boy did I get the feeling that it was Illumina that he wanted. The poor guy was obsessed but to be fair the chemistry between them is palpable. Yet it's a relationship that never felt rushed and had all the romantic feels I need. This story builds up with a little twist and dare I say a red herring? Yes Ms Bristol has delivered a cyborg romance that mixes in aliens that are most definitely out of this world! I sincerely doubt that any lover of sci fi romance would be disappointed with this story, I know I wasn't .

Interesting story, steamy romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤💜💖
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: ☺️🤓😟😙🥰

The heroine: Illumina - she is a Faria, though her wings were removed. Her species is smaller than humans and their legs and lower backs are a bit frail since they fly more than walk. So she is sort of disabled but her legs are getting stronger since she has been walking more. She is also a computer sensate, meaning she could become one with cybersystems and integrate herself into the code. Very few of her kind had that ability.

The Hero: Dale - a former field agent in Cyber Operations, Dale is now the owner of a not completely legal chop shop called Moonbeam. He and his employees work in an underground facility on a barren moon called Deceptio. They build spaceships from scratch and also take apart existing ships, like a pleasure cruiser and turn them into other things such as fighters. Each of his employees signs an NDA and only a few people actually know where they are located.

The Story: Illumina has been running from her ex-life mate Alonio for months now. He is also a sensate, and though he isn’t as good as she is, it is what allows him to find her wherever she goes. He had sliced off her wings and found her in a hospital, where he killed the worker that was helping her. So, when she heard about the Job at Moonbeam and the secrecy surrounding the job and the location, she knew it was where she would be safe. Dale knew she was lying about her credentials and other things but for some reason he hired her anyway. He hasn’t had a vacation or hooked up with a female in quite a while, but he has a policy against being intimate with his employees. Though he seems to have an overwhelming interest in Illumina and she in him.

“Hunger had evaporated the instant she’d sensed the object of her obsession had entered the mess hall. She had a visual eidetic memory, and Dale’s image had burrowed into her mind, interrupting an already-fitful sleep with sexual dreams. Disturbing and inappropriate, but at least they crowded out the nightmares.”

The story was really good. It was interesting and suspenseful. The romance was cute and steamy. I liked that the two main characters got to know each other, but didn’t wait too long to get busy. They were attracted to each other from the start and both were consenting adults so they didn’t wait to act on their feelings.

After reading the action-packed previous book in the series and encountering the hero in a supporting role, I was thrilled that the next book would be Dale's. But then I started reading and realized that yet again, the author wowed me not only with a likeable hero, but a heroine that intrigued me from the moment she entered her first scene. I devoured this book in one sitting and now can only wait eagerly for more.

The story opens with Dale Homme, a cyborg and owner of a deeply hidden space version of a chop shop. He and his team acquire ships and retrofit them to order for big sales. The business is not shady, but some of the customers are so the operation is deep in a thought to be lifeless moon and cloaked from discovery.

Of late, Dale has become restless. He left cy-ops, but now he misses the intensity and excitement of the missions. With a hundred twenty-eight employees depending on him for their livelihood, though, he can't just ditch the business.

But then the shuttle returns with candidates for the open position of tech work that will hopefully produce a computer wizard who can figure out the glitches in their latest work project. A mysterious female who tells more lies than truths and is not who she says she is gets Dale's attention. He should hire one of the others, but his gut tells him that there is something important behind her deception and he wants to know what it is and help her.

Illumina is a Faria, but she is the only one in existence without her beautiful fairy wings. And that's because her ex-husband turned into a torturous fiend after she wanted to divorce him when he showed his true and awful colors once they were married. Now, he stalks her across the galaxy with plans to kill her and anyone who gets in his way or helps her. Illumina sees the top secret work for Dale Homme as a god-send. She'll hide out and take a breather from her running and do a good job for Dale while she's at it. Unfortunately, she wasn't expecting him to be cyborg and a very perceptive one at that. He knows she lied to him, but he's biding his time. And while he bides his time, they both feel the attraction tighten between them. Illumina can't give in to the passion and must leave if she is to keep Dale and the other's safe even though the big cyborg seems quite capable of fighting his own battles.

So, this was a fast paced and easy to read spicy sci-fi action romance. It's perfect for the moments I just wanted to lose myself in a good story that didn't delve deep, but entertained and engaged me. I love the cyborg world that the author has created with the top secret special ops teams, the fraternity of cyborg warriors, the spicy romance, and of course the mission. In this case the mission was to protect Illumina and bring down her evil ex who was getting away with more than just his murderous stalking since he had powerful and wealthy connections he used to protect his dirty secrets.

The characters aren't deeply developed, but they are developed enough to get to know them and connect with them. As I pointed out earlier, I liked Dale from his intro in the last book. It was neat getting his background and how he became cyborg and came to own the chop shop. He was most definitely an assertive leader, but he tempered this with understanding so that he could see the potential in his team of workers when no one else could.
Illumina was the fascinating woman from an alien race. There was a little bit about her race and background. She's a survivor and a protector, but she is a computer genius because of her psychic gift that allows her to connect telepathically with technology. I had strong respect for this one who had survived much and had to live by her wits.

I enjoyed the pair of them together. They made a sizzling romantic pair, but also work well together in daily life and work, too. They both thought the other would think less of them because she felt she was ugly because her wings are missing and he thought he was ugly because he is half computer. Instead, they were treated to acceptance and attraction. Lonely people connecting and bonding.

The action scenes and intrigue were exciting and I enjoyed the pacing in the book. There were a couple surprise twists that enhanced the final big scene in particular. The last book was loaded with more action, but that doesn't mean this one was lacking.

The final epilogue style chapters brought a smile to my face to see how things wrapped up for this pair and the cyber ops team in general. Now after getting my wish of more Dale-time, I wouldn't mind some more Sonny or Carter.

In summary, this was exciting and had a good amount of spice. Perfect for the light sci-fi romance lover who wants something quick and entertaining.

My thanks to the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was provided an ARC of Captured by the Cyborg (Cy-Ops Sci-fi Romance Book 3) in exchange for an honest review. Have I mentioned that Sci-fi romance is one of my FAVORITE genres? Well, it is and Captured encompasses everything I love about this genre!

Illumina is on the run from a very bad man, and an even more horrible situation. She is recovering from her escape from that man, while running for her life. Then, the opportunity comes to work at the top secret factory below the surface of a moon very few know how to find! Perfect, she can be safe and heal a bit before it’s time to run again. Only thing that might stand in her way is Dale, the Cyborg owner who stirs feelings in her she long thought dead.

Dale is an ex-Cyborg Operations field agent. Think super solider with advanced robotics or cybernetics. He, along with a few others, have a computer in their head to control their cybernetics limbs, but they are still half human, just really big and strong! Like REALLY BIG! Dale sees through Illumina's false story right from the start, but instead of sending her packing, he hires her. Why? Well not only is he completely and utterly attracted to her, but it is innately built into the men chosen as cyborgs to protect. He can tell Illumina is running and hiding, so it alerts all those instincts. He will do what he has to do to keep her safe, even if he has to hold her prisoner.

The story was one that I flew through and read in just a few hours; I absolutely couldn’t put it down once I started! There is the perfect mix of danger, betrayal, action and romance, I absolutely loved every page! I can’t wait to see who gets the next story!...Sara

This series of cyborg books just keeps getting better! If you liked the first two books, Stranded with the Cyborg and Mated with the Cyborg, you will love this one!

Life on Deceptio was not quite as exciting as Cy-Ops, but Dale Homme enjoyed the challenges he faced running a chop shop hidden beneath the surface of the moon. Dale's had a new spaceship project in the works for a while, and there's a computer glitch that none of the current employees can identify. Time is running out to finish work on the spacecraft and deliver it to the buyer, so he is forced to hire someone to troubleshoot. To maintain the clandestine nature of Moonbeam Chop Shop, tight security measures were employed whenever anyone was transported to or from Deceptio.

Dale had a firm rule about getting involved with his employees, but he hadn't met Illumina yet, and rules were made to be broken. Neither Illumina nor Dale is quite what they appear. He's a cyborg with a special ops background while she is a Faria on the run who is also a gifted computer sensate. Even though Homme can see right through Illumina's bogus CV, he is desperate and hires her to troubleshoot and solve the glitch. Illumina's past includes a deranged ex-husband named Alonio who travels in diplomatic circles. He has unique physical capabilities that make him nearly unbeatable. Alonio has cut off Illumina's wings, almost killing her. Alonio won't stop until Illumina is dead, and he's willing to take out anyone who gets in his way.

As the story evolves, the characters are challenged and betrayed. It's important to know who your friends are because you never know just when you will need them!

This book is Dale and Illumina. We read about Dale in the first book of this series, he owns his own private shop, to build and repair ships. Illumina is on the run from a crazed ex-husband/mate that keeps trying to kill her. You know, once your husband tries to kill you then everything is null and void after that, just no. She is a Faria, which has wings and he cuts them off....wtf. So, even though Dale can tell she’s lying during her interview, he still hires her. Which is perfect because she can fix anything with a computer, she’s actually kind of a badass in this aspect, therefore fixing a ship that his employees have spent months trying to fix and figure out.

This was a great follow up to the first book. I adored these two, Dale is crazy about Illumina, but because of her crazy ex still looking for her, she is hesitant. And rightfully so, because he is uncontrollable and can turn his arm into a sword and a multitude of other weapons. When he finds her this time, it shakes up the cy-ops community. This was a safe read (null and void people), no ow drama, but a lot of om drama since the ex is trying to kill her...and pretty much everyone that stands in his way. We do get a preview a little into the future to see what these two will be up to. I just love this series.

Title: Captured by the Cyborg
Authors: Cara Bristol
Score: 4.50 / 5 - Reviewer Top Pick

Illumina Smith is on the run. Danger has followed her every step. She's not able to dodge it for long. If she's caught the consequences could prove to be fatal. Could Dale Homme, an ex-Cyber Operations field agent, be what she needs?

Dale Homme, cyborg, knows that Illumina Smith has lied on her interview at the Moonbeam Chop Shop. He has a feeling that she has secrets. Something about her just doesn't add up. He just can't help himself around her. Why does he find her captivating?

Entertaining read. Read it in one sitting. Cara Bristol knows how to feed information to the reader at just the right pace to keep curiosity piqued. Illumina's background mystery was solved only after Dale Homme, the male main character, had enough time to get in deep, emotionally. Their chemistry worked wonderfully. Bristol's world-building is outstanding, and her creativity shines when it comes to inventing alien races. The heat level was pretty hot--but there wasn't so much that it got in the way of a good story. This was the first book in the Cyborg series I'd read. I'll definitely read more.

WOW!! I don't usually read muc Sci-Fi but I was hooked by the first paragraph. The overview explained what was going on as well as the other wonderful reviews so I'm not going to be redundant and repeat, I will say everything you could want in a romantic adventure was here with page turning suspense and danger, emotions and feelings of the characters was delved into so you could watch the relationship develop and understand how they learned to love and trust. Of course there was a nasty villain, danger, mystery and hot sex. All in all a wonderful read.

A woman on the run meets a man willing to fight to protect her.

We've met Dale in a previous book and I was curious to see how his tale would go. The first two installments of this series had fairly unique plots and while this one has a more traditional theme, I enjoyed it just as much. It's a woman on the run from an abusive ex but there are some fun twists added to it.

This book has a fairly strong level of tension, probably even more than the first two of the series. From the very first few pages it's clear to see that something big is going to happen. It's to be expected when people tell lies and hold dangerous secrets. I paid close attention but was still surprised when the space "junk" hit the fan, so to speak. The ex-husband really was a villain I could despise. In all, it was a great read!

absolutely loved this book, the story line was fantastic, the characters came to life and the world building was phenomenal. i loved the entire idea of the hidden moon base and the fact that they cyborgs were physically enhanced while not mentally compromised into robot style entities. The description of the Faria ppl and esp Illuminia was fantastic esp loved the wings, the glow and the living hair. There was just the right amt of conflict between Illuminia and her ex husband to make it exciting without pushing it over the edge.
Everything in this book held my attention thoroughly and kept u reading to the last page waiting to see what happens. I would highly recommend this book Cara Bristol really brings it with this story.

Dale Homme made a life skirting the law with Cyber Operations, but now that he is retired, he runs a chop shop on the moon Deceptio. He still skirts the law but life is a lot less dangerous and a bit more mundane. Sure life still has it's treacherous encounters, however something is missing and he can't pinpoint what it is exactly.

Illumina Smith is running from her past and her running had led her to Deceptio. She hopes to hide out for awhile until it is time to move on. Life on the run isn't what she dreamed of, but circumstances have led her down this path.

Dale can tell by looking at Illumina that she's lying, but there is something about her that he can't let go of. Maybe by keeping her around, he'll be able to find out what she is hiding and possibly help her.

But his body's reaction is beginning to cloud his judgement when it comes to her. He's never been like this with anyone, what it is about her that calls to him? However, he's not the only one having issues, Dale has awaken something in Illumina and she can't seem to shut it down.

As time goes on and the more time they spend together, Illumina starts to trust Dale and confide in him her problems. Dale vows to protect her at all costs, but he's going to be away for a few days so he call in reinforcements. With all the security measures in place, what could go wrong?

Everything since the person they least expected to deceive them just put them all in jeopardy. So can Dale make is back in time to save Illumina before it's too late?

Jesus, Buddha, Lao-Tzu! Cara has another thrilling hit on her hands! Dale Homme is the hero worth swooning over and over again. He's tall, dark, handsome, protective, and oh so sexy. And when he's committed, he's all in heart and soul. Making sure his lady love is happy and protected is paramount to him. He'll melt your heart right along with your panties.

Illumina is stronger than she gives herself credit, it takes fortitude to run and fight for her life. And when she sees an issue with security, I love her sense to protect those around her even without their knowledge. And when she's taken hostage, I love her resilience to fight for herself even if it means never seeing the one man she loves again.

This book is exhilarating and holds you captive until the end. The chemistry between Dale and Illumina is intoxicating on so many levels, you can't help but be drawn to them and want them to achieve their happily ever after. This quick read will leave you craving more for this sultry couple.

I really enjoyed my second taste of the Cy-Ops series, this time with the action centering on the mysterious moon, Deceptio, and the secret operations beneath. Dale was a fun minor character in the last book, but this stands alone well enough that you don’t need to have read the rest of the series to enjoy it. The best thing about it all for me, though, was how well matched Dale and Illumina became throughout this book. I love a balanced couple and this book delivers nicely.

Dale is a protector. He joined Cy-Ops in the first place because of something terrible that happened to those he cared for, and he had to leave Cy-Ops because he kept caring too much. Now he runs his own spaceship factory hidden deep beneath the surface of Deceptio, and even though he’s getting a little bored and feels the need for some excitement, he stays because his employees are the sort no one else will hire. So when a little mystery named Illumina falls into his lap, it’s no surprise that he feels a strong compulsion to keep her close, even if he is sure she’s lying to him.

Despite one or two occasions of naivety, I liked Illumina. She’s smart and survived some terrible things. She might not be as physically impressive as Dale, but she’s more than a match for him when it counts. I liked how she grew throughout this book, mostly in confidence, and I also liked that she doesn’t do stupid things for the sake of being stupid. She makes informed decisions and does what she needs to in order to survive. I love a smart heroine who acts intelligently.

The story unfolds in an easy way, with a touch of mystery and plenty of secrets before exploding into action. It also helps that there’s plenty of chemistry between the main characters. There is rarely a dull moment in this book, even when things seem to be going quietly. Yes, if I’m honest I would have liked to have seen Illumina interact with someone who wasn’t Dale (or one of his cyborg friends), I would also have liked to have seen a bit more of day to day life on Deceptio (flying! More flying!), but the focus is understandably centered on these two and the way their relationship unfolds.

If you’re looking for a sci-fi romance that mixes heat with an actual plot, then you should give this series a try. This one is an easy and enjoyable read with likeable characters and a punch of action that will definitely leave you wanting to read the next one. I’m looking forward to it already.

SHE WAS A RIDDLE WRAPPED IN MYSTERY INSIDE AN ENIGMA

A Sci-fi story is only a good as the author who pens it, and Ms. Bristol has spun a tale that grabs the reader and holds them captive from the beginning to the end. When you are finished, you know you have been on an amazing journey, and can’t wait to pick up and read the next book. The storyline, the background of the characters, the descriptions of the sights, sounds, smells, are all part of this tale, making the reader feel like a voyeur along on this journey.

Illumina is of the Faria species, ones who have wings, skin that illuminates and hair with feelings. She is on the run for her life, literally, from her ex-lifemate who cut off her wings, and is intent on torturing her. “Few understood the trifecta of her loss: her mobility, her lifemate, her trust. All gone in a single swipe.” Finding the help wanted announcement on Cy-Net is her hope for a reprieve. “Computer Troubleshooter. Secret. Confidential. Nondisclosure agreement required. The keywords leaped out like a lifeline.”

Dale Homme is an ex-Cyber Operations field agent, who runs a clandestine factory beneath the surface of the moon Deceptio. The location is a secret, his clients and business may be outside of the law, but it is a living. When a ship of potential new hires shows up, something about this sprite of a woman should send her packing, but instinct tells him she is in trouble, and he knows she is lying, but he knows he must keep her safe.

Alonio is an evil Faria, AOP Ambassador, and was Illumina's lifemate. He won’t stop until he has her back. “No matter where you go, I’ll find you.” “Anyone who assists you will suffer.” “You will always be mine. Till passing do us part.”

The plot has an amazing cast of characters, with abilities, powers, and then throw in a love story in the making, all while a life and death situation is evident. For Illumina, she doesn’t want anyone else hurt because of her, but she must stay ahead of Alonio. For Dale, he feels he must protect this woman at all cost, and the last thing he expected was to start having feelings for her, he doesn’t get involved with employees. Illumina has “fled from evil; she would not run from good.” It will come down to a battle of good versus evil, life, and death, and lives will be on the line. “Alonio could not match the cyborg’s brawn, but he possessed other assets to ensure he won any physical confrontation.” Can a Cyborg defeat evil and find happiness for his future?

Thoroughly engaging and a breeze to read, ‘Captured by the Cyborg’ catapulted me deep into the familiar, beloved vocabulary I’ve come to associate with syfy-romance: it’s geek-speak recontextualised into a narrative, woven around a pairing that didn’t seem plausible in the beginning but left me wanting by the end.

The story brings us straight into the mysterious operations a kilometre beneath an isolated, barren moon and into a secret operations factory run by former special operative Dale Homme, whose latest recruitment drive brings a beautiful, ethereal but damaged alien into his employment. Illumina Smith isn’t who she says she is and despite his better instincts, Dale keeps her on the payroll, eventually discovering a past that is as painful and fraught as his. I enjoyed every moment of Illumina's and Dale’s interaction and without the hindrance of TSTL actions by both sides, found this pairing unusual but entirely suited to each other. I only wished though, that the process of integrating cybernetics into a body - especially for Illumina - was't the be-all and the end-all solution; her regaining her wings and the miraculous hair growth seemed a tad too eager for everything to end well...and quickly.

Action-packed, (but) with an over-the-top villain that made me grimace a little, it’s nonetheless a book that surprised me again and again with well-written scenes and dialogues, and proved to be a superb entertaining distraction on what would have otherwise been a dull and mundane day.

Cyborgs! YESSSS! Okay. We met Dale and his secret, err, space chop shop? Yeah, that works, I guess. His secret base of operations hidden on a distant moon in the middle of nowhere where he modifies and tinkers with ships people waaaaant. Wait. I lost my train of thought.

Oh, right. Dale popped up in the last book and he had that mysterious vibe going. You know, the broody, possibly paranoid ex-Cy-Ops agent who drops everything to help a fellow cyborg when he asks. As it turns out, he's not really all that broody (marginally broody, I'd say) and he's no more paranoid than any other cyborg out there. He is, however, crazy loyal. If his brothers in cybernetics need him, he's there.

So when he hires Illumina on the spot even knowing she's hiding things, it's serious. To be frank, Illumina needs him. She needs someone with his sort of connections to help her out of the jam she's found herself in.

Man, I like these cyborgs. To be fair, I like most cyborgs I read about. Loyalty, amazing strength, and unwavering focus are character traits I prize.

Wow! I loved this third instalment of the Cy-Ops Sci-Fi Romance series. It was fast-paced, exciting, romantic, sexy, and fascinating.

The dual strength and vulnerability of the beautiful fairy-like Faria, Illumina Smith, hiding from her murderous abuser, captured my interest immediately. When she seeks employment from the serious and secretive ex-military spaceship builder, Dale Homme, his compassion for the fragile little sprite is triggered as well. As the mystery behind her fugitive status is gradually revealed, the sexual chemistry and empathy that comes from shared loss grows between Illumina and Dale. They are one hot couple!

I particularly enjoy the perfect balance of Dale’s alpha male protectiveness and Illumina’s own intelligence and talents, allowing them to respect and value each other’s autonomy. The inevitable confrontation with Illumina’s tormentor was very exciting and satisfying. There are some very important developments for Cy-Ops in this story.

Cyborgs to the Rescue !! . . .

Ex-Cyber Operations field agent Dale Homme has a secret factory under the moon Deceptio’s surface. He needs to hire a programmer and senses that Illumina Smith is not being truthful with him.

In fact, Illumina was one of the few gifted Faria who were computer sensates, who through touch and telepathy, could become one with cybersystems, integrate herself into the code, and slip away without a trace. But Dale senses she needs protection from something and he wants to know her secrets. So he hires her. Will he be able to protect her when her dangerous past catches up with her and her ex, Alonio, bypasses security to kidnap Illumina while Dale is away negotiating business deals? Two of his best cyberoperatives, powerful, well-trained fighting machines, had been unable to prevent her abduction, and one was most likely not going to survive that vicious attack that ripped him apart. How will Dale be able to find her? Dale will have to hurry to have any hope of rescuing her if he only knew where to look. How will she survive the dreaded place Alonio is taking her?

A Cyborg & a super computer programming Fairy, oh my.

Ex-Cyber Operations field agent Dale Homme has a secret space chop/ factory under Deceptio’s a small moon, surface. Find it interesting candidates are "blindfolded" for just an interview. He needs to hire a programmer, and senses that although Illumina Smith is not being truthful with him he needs to hire her.

Illumina "Smith" is a rare & gifted Faria being a computer sensates. Someone who through touch & telepathy can become one with cybersystems, integrate herself into the code, and slip away without a trace. She also is running from a narcissistic, psychotic & homicidal ex-husband.

They'll learn to eventually trust each other especially when things turn upside down. But will it be soon enough and will the outcome truly be their HEA. Enjoy the journey.

Men of Mettle book 3 is the story of Dale and Illumina. Dale runs the chop shop on Deceptio and Illumina is running from a very violent lifemate. Their story is so delicate, loving, full of hope and promise but with the dark and dangerous Alonia's threat hovering in the background they have to keep their wits about them. Add to the mix a close friend of Dale's putting himself in a precarious position allowing Alonia access to the hidden and cloaked Deceptio and you have a story that is so intriguing you can't put it down and I didn't want to. This is a boxset of paranormal hunky men that I want to hold close and I'm now into the follow-on story. Cara Bristol is an author who is really worth reading and is on my list of authors to keep an eye out for. I hope she has a lot of books because I want them all.

Dale is a hard man. He's had to be to get where he is today. He has found a way to get through the anger and pain by building a company and helping others. he doesn't really let anyone in, or get close to him. He is content with his life but that is because he doesn't know that it could be any different. Illumina seemingly walks in off the street to apply for a coding job. He knows that something is a little off with her but he cannot work out what. He lets his heart rule over his brain, unheard of, and gives her the job. She excels at it but there is still that niggle within himself over her. What can it mean? Illumina herself is only searching for a haven for a while and a new start. Can she find it here with such a harsh man? Is there more to him and what is it that she can read in him but cannot quite grasp?
Lots of action, twists and all the good stuff!

Dale has faced his share of danger and now he lives a relatively simple life running a less than legal business. But, for the most part, his life, whilst with its moments of excitement is pretty steady and just the way he likes it but then when Illumina arrives asking for a job. Dale immediately knows that she is not being honest with him but there is something about her that makes him take a chance on her. For her part Illumina really needs help and Dale, and his underground business, is exactly the kind of help she needs. But when what Illumina is running from comes calling can Dale really help her? The characters are fabulous, the passion between them off the charts and the story itself is one that will capture your attention from the off and will not let go until you flip the last page.
