Boomer - The Elite: Part 1
Three years after the bitter demise of my marriage, I was still no closer to opening my heart to a new man than I had been the day I'd found out about my ex-husband’s affair while he was overseas in the Marine Corps.

Jack “Boomer” McGuire is a Navy fighter pilot who has decided to take a 2-week vacation to visit his friend, Aaron “Player” Rosen, in Holiday Cove and spend some time relaxing on the beach before being deployed for 6 months. By the time she finds out he’s being deployed, they’ve developed feelings for one another…and she’s left heartbroken. Will she forget her vow of no more military men and give Boomer a chance? I love Boomer and Holly. Their story kept me turning the pages way past my bedtime. This book does end with a cliffhanger but not like the normal “I can’t believe you ended it right there” cliffhanger. It’s more like we’ve finished part I of their story and will be moving on with part II.

Honest ARC Review: Very sweet story, but not my cup of tea. The set up of the characters; Boomer & Holly, was sweet and overly detailed. In my opinion, not too many conversations; a lot of "thinking" and background chapters. I do like that it's a military book, which you don't see very often. I would have loved to see the characters meet earlier in the book (they don't come together until 20% in-Kindle), then for another 2 chapters nothing happens, then when you think the characters should reach a moment.... nothing happens until the very end (70% in- Kindle) when you see the characters have the romance and connection. I do love how Boomer takes charge in the end and how Holly acknowledges that she has fallen hard, she also sees that Boomer is not like her ex-Marine.
With all that said, I will keep reading the series to see what happens with Boomer & Holly. I love K.B. Winters books usually, so hopefully the series envelope into something more.

Brilliant story
I really enjoyed reading this story. It's a vacation hook up relationship where the characters fall for each other during a two weeks vacation. Despite the fact that they both had disappointments with their previous partners and they weren't looking for a relationship. They couldn't ignore the attraction between them. The story continues in a second book so I'll have to wait for the conclusion. Its available on KU so I'm not too disappointed.

problems are my own. 1) first person narrative. ugh! it makes the characters sound completely self-centered, as well as the fact that there's so much internal dialog. 2) no ending to the book, have to get another book to finish the story. 3) The word "titties". Just no. 4) Calling the heroine "baby". I always associate that with guys that can't remember a woman's name.

ok, but just ok. i don't know if it is because of the two book series that i read right before this one that were excellent -- but i could not get into the story. for some reason the writing seemed very young.

Easy enjoyable read.
Enjoyed the story of our broken lovers and their pets who find love before they do. No one wants to be cheated on and it is hard to trust again. Glad our lovers figured it out. On to the next book to see what happens.

Holly started her own accounting business after her divorce from her ex husband, who had an affair while abroad in the Marines. & because of this she has sworn off Military men.Now after 3 yrs her business is blooming & she decides to take a 2 week holiday to Holiday cove with her only companion, her 6 mths old Lab puppy, Hunter. Hunter's been impossible (being a puppy), eating & chewing everything in sight, until he falls in love with Princess, a yellow Lab. That's where Holly's problem starts, Princess's owner is Lieutenant Jack McGuire, Aka Boomer, who's a fighter pilot in the US Navy. Boomer came to Holiday Cove, with Princess for a 2 week visit to his friend, Aaron, aka Player, to relax on the beach before is being deployed for 6 mths. Princess will be staying with Aaron while he's away. Holly & Jack start of by being friends, but their relationship develops into something deeper, but there's the problem of Jack being deployed & Holly's feelings regarding falling for Military men. Will they get their HEA? I absolutely love KB Winters's books & can't wait for the follow up of this book!

KB Winters you've really outdone yourself. This has to be hands down my favorite book that you have written to date.
Boomer - The Elite: Part One we meet Holly who is divorced and just passing the first year of owning her own business. She's decided to celebrate the struggles, and successes alike by taking a two week vacation to a little beach town where she can relax. This is where things get interesting. Hot Navy Pilot running down the beach with his dog. Yep. Exactly. Jack McGuire is a Navy pilot taking a little vacation before he's spends the next 6 months on a ship overseas. These two meet and you have some incredible chemistry. The hot and steamy scenes fogged up my glasses they were so amazing. I was panting by the time I was done reading it, and yet it still wasn't enough no matter how much I read.
KB Winters did such a great job you're screaming at the end because you want more Jack and Holly. This book could have been three times as long and still not have been enough it was incredible.
I can't wait for book two. Don't miss this awesome book!

She is a CPA and has just finished tax season and needs a vacation, two weeks worth!! She's taking her new baby, Hunter. Who just happens to be a chocolate lab. She decides to head up the coast in California to Holiday Cove, so off her and Hunter go. And so our story begins!
Hunter, who never behaves, puts on a "good doggie" show for a yellow lab, named Princess. Princess' owner is a hottie named, Jack aka "Boomer". Boomer is a pilot in the Navy. Even though she's sworn off military men, how is she going to ignore the attraction to Boomer, as well as the fact that Hunter loves Princess?
This was such a great book (as are all KB Winters books). I look forward to seeing where this series will take us! Sexy pilot and 2 dogs, my kind of book! A must read!!!

What she does not count on is meeting Jack a military pilot, who is also on a two week leave before he ships out for another tour. Holly and Jack spend time getting to know one another until a bomb is dropped that will shattered the relationship that they have built.
Will Holly overcomer her fears of Jack being deployed or will they make it work?

In spite of this being a cliff hanger I love Jack(Boomer) and Holly story. Holly is a CPA that owns her own business and she has survived her first tax season and is rewarding herself with a 2 week beach vacation. Jack is an air force pilot, up for promotion to first lieutenant on a 2 week leave before shipping out for 6 months over seas. Holly and Jack meet when her rambunctious lab puppy spy Jack and his yellow lab running on the beach and he takes off after them. Lots of sizzle to this story.

Once I started the book I could not stop. Jack, a fighter pilot that is about to get shipped off for six months has a two week leave. Holly finally is able to take a much needed two week vacation. They end up on the same beach with their dogs that are just too adorable together. Can they just be friends? Because can they really be anything more when he is leaving for six months? I can not wait to see how this story turns out.

KB likes to set up the back story the 1st 50% of the book. Then she gets into the attraction and subsequent relationship. I like my sex scenes explicit and detailed which she delivered.

Boomer was great guy and a great catch without drama. Holly came with ex-husband drama which provides the angst. The books ends with him leaving for a 6 month deployment. I look forward to the next book.

Holly is an accountant. Holly decides to take her vacation now that tax time is over an she can breathe. Jack is a Lieutenant an a Navy fighter pilot. Jack is being deployed in a few weeks an decides to spent his off time with his good friend Aaron at his place in Holiday Cove. I loved the story line and plot. It was a great read fro the begging to the end. I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

As the story of Holly, a CPA, and Jack, aka Boomer, a fighter pilot start to unfold you start to realize that this relationship just might be doomed from the start. Holly has some deep seeded issues from a marriage that just didn't work out. She doesn't even know why she is making the decisions she's making. Jack knows it could work out but will Holly's issues turn into the downfall he saw coming?! I couldn't put it down and can't wait to read the second installment!

such a perfect book for me to read today. it was easy to read. romantic sweet and little to no angst. which is my kind of book. I loved Boomer. perfect boyfriend material. so sexy and charming..loved that they had the dogs and I loved the whole beach town backdrop.
I really liked Holly's character as well. she is awkward, the dog is driving hey nuts, she's stressed. I can relate to alot of what she wad blond thru.
I can't wait too start book 2...as soon a I'm done writing this review.

Jack aka Boomer by his buddies, meets Holly while both were on vacation. He is a fly boy for the US Navy. She is a divorcee, from a cheating Marine husband, working as a CPA. She was not looking for another military hook up. But love knows no bounds. The only problem is there is no true ending. There is another book, May be more. IN Winter's wrote a fast read.

This first part was short but sweet. Holly had been there done that with her ex. The military life and relationships is hard enough without adding in a cheating ex. The last thing she intends to do is get involved with another military man. So much for the best made plans. Not only did Boomer take her by surprise, he has to up and leave for 6 months. Cannot wait to read the second part.

A sweet read. Holly has grown into a person she loves but hadn't had live in a long time. Jack is a military man but is starting to see that he wants love in his future. Can these two find each other? Will it be worth the wait? Can distance and past hurts end it before it can go anywhere?

Its a story about Jack and Holly. Who meet on holiday and get to know each other over a few days. The was laugh out loud moments but at the end I just wanted to cry with Holly, can't wait to read the second book
