Fatima: The Three Divine Prophecies
The title assigned to the Blessed Virgin Mary, “Our Lady Of Fatima”, referred to by Catholics and others, believe that she appeared to three Portuguese shepherd children, Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta in Fatima, Portugal between May 13-October 13, 1917. The six apparitions of “Fatima” that occurred during this time period revealed to the world, three secret prophecies with a warning to the world of tribulations for the future. On Oct 13, 1917, a miracle was promised to the children, and Mary told them that all those that viewed this miracle would become encouraged to believe her appearances and messages to the children.
It is reported that approximately 70,000 people were witnesses of the “Miracle of the Sun” or the “Dance of the Sun” that rainy day. Around high noon, the rain stopped, and the clouds broke through, revealing the sun. Eyewitness accounts report that the sun revolved in the sky as a spinning disc casting multicolored lights and it zigzagged towards earth, and then returned to normal status in the sky. It was a ten minute event that was viewed over an area of over 600 square miles.
