PROOF OF LIFE is book four of the Christian romance series, BLACKTHORPE SECURITY by Kimberly Rae Jordan. Follow the lives of the men and women working for BlackThorpe Security as they face the challenges of life, faith and love.

The BlackThorpe Security series is a spin-off from the Christian romance series, The McKinleys. If you haven’t read those yet, check out book one which is currently available for FREE - THIS TIME WITH LOVE: A Christian Romance - and meet some of the characters who will continue to appear in the BlackThorpe Security series.

Ever since leaving the military, Alexander Thorpe has devoted his life to BlackThorpe Security, the company he founded with his best friend, Marcus Black. When his past unexpectedly comes knocking, Alex struggles to shift his priorities and open his life-and heart-to someone he didn't even know existed.

Rebecca Mackenzie thought she had a very valid reason for keeping her son from his father, but when her secret is revealed, she must face the past she ran away from fifteen years ago.

Will Alex be able to surrender his need for control and take on the challenging role of fatherhood? Or will his regret and guilt drive away the two people he needs most in his life? Rebecca wants to hate the man who broke her heart, but she instead finds herself drawn to him. Will she be able to open her heart to Alex once again or will fear keep it safely locked away?

As Alex and Rebecca struggle to deal with their unresolved past and the feelings that have once again risen between then, the search for Alana continues, leaving those involved grasping at straws.

Stayed tuned for the next Christian romance book in the BlackThorpe Security series June 2016.

Proof of Life is a deceptive title for this book. Having now read fifteen books by Kimberly Rae Jordan with this being the fourth book in this series, I was disappointed in this offering. I found a story with very little life in it. The only bit of sparkle and suspense related to resolving the issue introduced in the previous book in this series – the kidnapping of Alana. But beyond the page-turning excitement revolving around this subplot, the story seemed to drag and flounder due to lack of emotion and action. Think dull. Unfortunately, editorial errors continue to plague this author. Hint: You sing a hymn in church, not him. Christian readers, however, can take solace in Ms. Jordan’s portrayal of the power of prayer and the benefits of seeking God’s guidance in our lives. Ms. Jordan is an author of great skill and talent. This book is not representative of her ability as an author.

I can't wait for the next book in this series on the BlackThorpe Security!

I have read all the books leading up to this one and really enjoyed seeing more on Alex. I was grateful that Alana was found but know she will have trauma to overcome. I look forward to that story and whatever else is told about others in their group, like Adrianne and Marcus. It's very hard to comprehend how two people could stay married for fifteen years and not be in touch with each other. Whoever started the ball rolling did a good thing even if he meant it for bad. God definitely used it for good. Great series.

Great read!!!! Kimberly Rae Jordan is one of my favorites. Love the two characters. My favorite part is where Alex learns about God giving more than he can handle! And the explanation. Great book on love, forgiveness and Grace

Another wonderful book by this great author. I've wondered for some time what Alex's story was. It's a pretty amazing one. As Rebecca comes back into his life and we are introduced to Jordan, and learn some interesting things about Alex pre BlackThorpe. And the situation with Alanna is finally resolved. Was fun to revisit Melanie and Tyler and get a glimps of some of the previous characters.

Well done, Kimberly Rae Jordan. Looking forward to the next BlackThorpe novel.

I really enjoy this series and although this series has an obvious formula I enjoy find out how all these characters lives morphe into long term relationships. I'm wondering if the next blossoming relationship is Adrianne or Marcus. I have a feeling Rebecca's brother Connor is going to fall for Adrianne.

Rebecca, Jordan and Alex story is truly remarkable. When Jordan comes to find Alex a lot of lives will change. The author will have you on the edge of your seat with all the drama that happens throughout this whole book. You will feel God working throughout this whole story. This book deserves a higher rating than a 5 star review.

This was another great addition to the BlackThorpe Security series! I thoroughly enjoyed the relationships explored in this book. I was doubly pleased that a situation from the preceding book was resolved. That would be my only disagreement with descriptions of the books in these series. They are truly best read in order and I don’t feel that any of them are “stand alone” novels as stated, but rather build one on the other. I happen to really enjoy that aspect of the building and deepening of relationships but those expecting a true stand alone novel would be disappointed. A great read by an excellent author.

Very Touching

Kimberly Rae Jordan does an excellent job of weaving together two story lines, and she brings about some theological truths with which I've long agreed. It is indeed a myth when others say, " GOD doesn't give you more than you can handle. " As Rae Jordan pointed out: There are indeed situations we can't handle, and the overwhelming nature of them causes us to rely upon GOD. The story is about love renewed and forgiveness. I like also the fact that Rae Jordan has given us insight into Adrienne's dilemma ( or a peek at it).

Tense but good

I love this series. Especially enjoy the close knit team of people and family and how they care for each other. Interesting development in this book. Deals with the difficulties of adjusting to new priorities well. Loved the sermon on preparation!! Lots of great wisdom as well as a great read.

ANOTHER Favorite

Proof of Life is ANOTHER favorite.... OK. To be totally honest, at the end of each book I’m certain that THAT is my favorite. LOL However, Alex and Rebecca’s romance is a beautiful story of redemption, forgiveness, and love that is so much deeper when it is centered in Christ. And.... that’s it! NO SPOILERS! I’ll just say that it’s a GREAT book!

Interesting story

This is another gripping stort by Kimberly Rae Jordan. Unfortunately, the typos really annoy me. If she could get a good editor or just use grammarly.com to eliminate the errors, she would be mt favorite author.

I loved it!
I was totally surprised by the appearance of Jordan.
The troubles between Alex and Rebecca coupled with the suspense of Alana's abduction was awesome and made the story flow very well.

Love all Kimberly's books. Since she doesn't write as fast as I can read, I'm just reading my way through an older series. Can't wait to start the new one, though, with Gareth.

This book was different but also good. Alex secret came out. It has a lot of things going on in this
book. The threats are still going on. I enjoyed this one too and could not put it down. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Beyond excellent. One of the best I've ever read. Author Jordan does a superb job weaving characters and plot into a great scene. The romance was low key. The religion was central but not overwhelming. Author got close to sex but managed to avoid it. The subplot of Alana was gripping.

Love and forgiveness is one of the best medicine in life. After Alex and Rebecca quick married behind her parents back. It seem to me they where heading for a rollercoaster ride. For Alex to be whip off to the middle East to fight, left Rebecca all on her own , then for her to email him to let him know that she was carrying his child, only to be told to abort it. With him faceing evil were he at in the middle East. He didn't know how to deal with news. Very good book to read. Kimberly Rae Jordan is a very good story writer.

This is book 4 in the series and it is fantastic, this is Alex's story and how he deals with something from his past also the ongoing search for Alana. This book will make you laugh, cry, hold your breath and cheer you will also see how the characters let their faith and God guide them. It is a definite read and I will definitely be rereading the series in the future

Good read

This is the 4th book in the blackthorpe security series. I have read the first 3 books and was really looking forward to reading this one. It didn't go into as much detail as the others in the series and the characters didn't have as much depth. But I did like the twist that the author did in this one. Overall this was not my favorite book in this series.

I think this book was quite different from the others as the main couple's (Alex & Rebecca) story was somewhat overshadowed by other events in the book. I learnt from this book that as individuals we have to let go and let God have his way as he alone has the view of the bigger picture of our lives..
