Isla Dean's books are like weekend getaways- quick, but very effective escapes. The latest entry in the "One Night" collection is no exception. Likable, engaging characters in a familiar setting that deliver new fun while satisfying readers' curiosity about old friends. If you have a lazy afternoon or rainy evening to spend lost in a book, this one makes a terrific single-serving treat.

Tightly woven, especially for a novella, and even more especially as the book takes place--as the title tells us--over the course of one (day and) night. Love, love, love the setting of the family-run pub in the small town. Every scene, every conversation has a purpose in this book. Well executed, beautifully woven.

This is another wonderful book. I love the relationship between Ben and Kara. (It was especially nice to see Ben again!). I read it on Wattpad for free yet it is a book that I would probably spend my money on. A lovely short read.
