Glori is the unique memoir of Nicole Lynn Hannans, a woman who has defied the stereotype of young, single mothers. Faced with tremendous obstacles including poverty, homelessness, an oppressive relationship and a drug-infested environment, Glori reveals the difficulties of surviving with a baby as well as the unforgettable triumphs and achievements along the way. Countering the images of a dismal future for both mother and child that currently dominate the issue of teen pregnancy, Glori celebrates Hannans' will to enroll in and complete college as a young, single mother. Becoming pregnant at 17, and again at 18, pursuing her goal of going to a four-year college while raising a child, beating the odds by earning two degrees and having a meaningful career; Hannans offers an inspiring story about the power of believing in yourself that every young person, teen parent, single mom, parent and anyone working with youth should read. Now 27-year-old she hopes her candid and moving tale will encourage young women to pursue their dreams no matter what.

Awesome book! Through the trial and tribulations, you were able to come out on the other side. This book was very moving and truly inspirational. You showed how even in the worst of situations, something positive can come from it. God was with you along the way; you had Him in you and His glory was shown through your experience. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Your story showed me the courage, strength, and the tenacity that you possess.
I met Nicole Lynn Lewis at the Ohio State conference. She is an amazingly confident and poised young woman! Her story of poor choices doesn't match with the accomplished person she has become. It just shows how complex human beings are and what it takes to rise above your circumstances. Congrats to Nicole for showing that it can be done!
