Powerful forces, both personal and professional, are put in play to impede the efforts of Katie and her allies, including a biased judge, an imperious state Supreme Court Chief Justice, a former owner of the company, and a lover who may not be who he claims to be. Set in Detroit, Washington, D.C., and India, the novel features smart twists, turns, and surprises as well as captivating courtroom scenes in which Katie dazzles as she fights for the truth.
