Ford's classic '32, equipped with a behemoth engine and modified for speed is everything a hot rod should be. They certainly don't make 'em like this anymore. We're talking about the car that launched the hot rod Ford's 1932 Deuce. With its stylish lines, timeless grille, and flowing fenders, Ford's Deuce coupe pretty much defines the term "hot rod." The breadth of creativity this classic design has inspired for generations of hot rod builders is on full display in Deuce . Ford's '32 was an immediate hit. By 1931, the Model A was obsolete in a marketplace where drivers wanted more style and power. The design goals for the '32 Ford could be summarized as "more": more cylinders, more horsepower, and more style. The resulting car achieved its objectives and then some. It was faster, more comfortable, more refined - a masterpiece of industrial design, yet still affordable. Henry Ford and his design team got it right. As the Deuce transitioned to the used car market, it drew the attention of those with a need for speed. Stripped down with an emphasis on performance, the Deuce became the bedrock of the burgeoning hot rod movement. To this day, it very much defines what a hot rod should look like. Hot rodders took Henry's master stroke to a whole other place, and Deuce stands as a tribute to their ongoing ingenuity.

I love hotrods and just love to hear the sound of a loud exhaust however the 1932 ford is the ideal car for a hotrod and it is perferect with a GM smallblock or a hot-rodded Flathead V-8 with a manual transmission the ford deuce is a popular car and it is seen at all the big hotrod shows like the Goodguys show or MSRA or even NSRA were a lot of these cars pop up and are done differently when I think of the ford deucei I think of a car that can be personalized to the way you want it and build the car however you decide that's the best part about hotrods they are what you want them to be back in the old days the kids use to raid junk yards and get parts off other cars and use on there cars to make them uniqe and different when NSRA comes around I look at the engine detail and interiors plus the paint jobs and attention to detail there are a lot of ways to do hotrods but everyone is different when I think of the ford deuce I think of the beach boys and there song little deuce coupe. Henry Ford sold a lot great fords of the 1930s and the 1932 ford is the alltime best both car and truck . Ford Motor Company has built some of the best cars and trucks but the best part is the flathead V-8 wich is a legendary engine and more so than the Chrysler hemi the flathead was indestructible and powerful and dependable it was considered the fastest engine on the market john Dillinger and a lot of gangsters wrote to henry ford thanking for a great car and engine that could tackle everything you throw at it and years later the flathead became a engine of choice for the hotrodders through out the 1940's-1950's-1960's were these engines were modified and raced.
