Hardly big-reading, a quick skim - sure, but some good choices here. Fingers crossed absolutely none of it will rub off on me. As has always been the case.

This book, by the Design Museum, clearly makes a point of celebrating British fashion icons. Kinda feels a little colonialist in saying Fashion Icons that Changed the World. Colin Firth is not a fashion icon that changed the world.

That said, a lot of the men here are definitely + incredibly stylish. S A R T O R I A L F L E X

Some standouts for me: Fred Perry; Humphrey Bogart; Albert Camus; Marlon Brando; Pablo Picasso; Jack Kerouac; Terence Stamp; Sean Connery; Steve McQueen; Ian Curtis; Bryan Ferry; Ian Brown; John Waters; Wes Anderson.

In an attempt to read more of the books I already have, I've started something new where I take my more "coffee table" -like books and read a section of them a day, usually when I'm having my breakfast. This was my first in this vein. I probably won't rate them, but I'll mark them as 'read' for posterity.

And yes, I had bought this book because Bowie is on the cover. Overall, the book was succinctly informative, and I learned some about both familiar fashion icons and others that were new to me.

An odd mix of truly iconic characters like David Bowie and some obscure ones I've never heard of. An interesting album to take a glance, but not really worth paying much attention to beyond idly checking out the names and the photos.

Not a complex book but does exactly what is expected. A couple questionable choices but all the big names I expected were in there, nice to learn a couple new ones too.
