Super cheeseball. I like some cheese in my books but this packed on the cheese and was totally unbelievable. The brothers that Riley "fall in love" with are described but lacked character depth I guess. I'm stealing lines from reviews that I have read from other reviewers when they reviewed other books, but I totally understand what they are saying now. Maddox is the tattoo bad boy, Gunner is the dominant business tycoon. That's it, that's all the description you get about those guys except that they fall madly in "love" her after like 3days. How they decided to share a woman after all this time of not sharing women we dont know. We don't know what made them come to the conclusion that she didn't have to choose between them anymore. It would have really been nice if it came from multiple point of views. It was just all wrong to me it was a great story but it could have been soooooooo much better.
Editing, oh my it's such an important thing.... if your mom is 39 and had you at 22 but you're at least 21 the number annoying don't add up... That is just the tip of the ole iceberg.... Poor writing all the way through.
It was okay for me. Maybe it is time for me to start to pick other kind of books. The storyline is getting a bit old for me. I don't think this book is actually bad in his kind. Young smart girl, sassy mouth. Billionair males with a bit of dominance. Girl in danger. HEA... It couldn't entertain me, unfortunately.
Want to read a fabulous menage by a fabulous author? Then pick up Boss Brothers and fall in love with Gunner, Maddox, and Riley! Ms. Hawthorne is one author that knows how to spin a story around three people in a relationship that authors would find strange if not weird! Riley Bennett meets Maddox Boss at her mother's wedding to none other than Leo Boss, yes, their father but she doesn't know Maddox's last name when she takes him home with her. Not only does Rile NOT know Maddox's last name, she doesn't know he has a twin named Gunner. Each Boss brother vies for Riley's attention and love but in the end she can't choose. What an awesome life she has with not just one but two men willing to love her and please her for the rest of her life! Not only does Ms. Hawthorne spin a good love story but she adds just that touch of drama that doesn't go overboard. If you love stepbrothers, who are alpha billionaires, then check out this book and see what this threesome get into. Definitely a recommended read and so glad to have received an ARC for an honest review!
I've yet to come across a book by this author that I've not enjoyed. I only discovered Olivia Hawthorne a couple of weeks ago and have consumed several of her books already as they're addictive and I'm always left wanting to jump into the next one. I've had some late nights as once you pick up a book by Olivia Hawthorne you're unable to stop reading.
Boss Brothers wasn't what I expected, but I still really enjoyed it. There are parts of the story that confused me or seemed pointless, but this didn't take away from the story and as with any book by this author, I read it all in one go. I initially preferred Maddox, but then swapped to Gunner and I got to the end wanting Riley to be with just Gunner as it felt like they had a closer bond. I wanted to see Maddox find someone of his own
I liked both Gunner and Maddox they are both different. Riley loves both of them and they love her there were times when I felt she loved Gunner more but she understands they are both different and she love both of them.
I loved reading about the brothers and Riley, I found myself smiling 😃 as I was reading their story. Definitely worth reading. It's always sad when a good book comes to an end!!!
Too long. Too boring. At one point they say Gunner will marry Riley because he has more control of the business but then she's confused how she can marry them and then they decide she'll marry Maddox. The sex was steamy tho.
I received this for a honest review. I have to say I absolutely love Olivia Hawthorne’s book. This book is probably most women’s fantasy. Well at least it is mine. Come on not only is she getting two men but twins. Yip, Riley Bennett is living the dream.
I loved Riley Bennett’s and Maddox Boss’ first meet. It was at her mother and his father’s wedding. Riley was eyeing this handsome sexy guy at the wedding but when she saw him at the reception he had a different tie. I think one important thing Riley learned from their first meet is not to drink to much. I will leave it at that.
Riley was job hunting and was happy when her mother suggested that there new step-father giver her a job. Her step-father did have a job opening. What Riley was not expecting was to walk in on her first day of the job and see the sexy man she thought she would never see again.
I loved how Riley flirted with her boss aka step-brother. It was funny reading about her trying to get his attention. What I really loved was when the other brother was brought into the mix. Yip super jealous of Riley to have the Boss twins Maddox and Gunner. They want her to chose between them. Things do get very hot and steamy between the three of them.
I did not like Ryan at all. He started dating Riley’s roommate Rebecca. There was just something off about him through the whole book. He was a guy that worked with Riley. If you want to know what his deal was well I guess you will have to read the book.
Make sure you either are ready to take a cold shower or have some toys close by because things really get hot and heavy in this book. I love this book from beginning to end and happy I got a chance to read this wonderful story.
Just another great book by another great author. I loved this story. You could connect with the characters and the authors writing style. There were several mistakes, but it was worth it. I would read this again. Overview. Riley (girl) has been to 3 of her mom's weddings. This time she refused to be a bridesmaid, just a guest this time. Riley and Rebecca are laughing a getting drunk, when they spot a hot guy coming in the door wearing a black suit and green tie. Riley calls dibs, but decides to not act on it. She starts to head home when Mr hot catches her from falling. Offers her a ride home and a little more. Riley is too drunk and almost pukes on him. He leaves and she hopes to never see him again. Her new step dad offers her a place in the family company under his son. When she shows up, it's Mr hot behind the desk. She tries to get his attention, but nothing. But when he stops at her desk and reminds her to come to the family dinner. She meets Maddox at dinner. The next day at work she sneaks into the bosses office for an afternoon delight. But when she states to kiss him it feels different. When she opens his shirt, she is shocked. The office door opens and Riley's life is about to change.
I liked this book. Riley had been to enough of her mom;s previous weddings that she no longer wanted to be a bridesmaid. So she said and watched in a borrowed dress from her room mate. on the way out she spot one of the sexiest men she has seen if like forever and she gets interrupted so she doesn't get to talk to him til much later when she is "much drunker". He helps her home and things gets dicer until she gets a bit to dizzy to carry on.
Her new stepfather helps her get a job and low and behold it is the man from the wedding but he acts like he doesn't remember her at all, So okay two can play that game. She leaves little hints here and there about that night even as far as wearing stripper shoes to work but all that got her was called out on her clothing and to dress more professional, Hum maybe he did not notice hr after all.
There HAS to be a reasons s they were really getting along SO VERY WELL. I suggest you grab this book and find out what the happened to change is mind or did it?
Great book that had me laughing , crying and even wanting to butt some heads together, GREAT READ AND LOOKING OR MORE FROM Olivia Hawthorne IN The coming months!
Meh... This book was just over-the-top corny. First of all, the guys were already "head over heels" for this girl so you miss out on them actually falling in love with her, which I think is what I want to read about when I read any romance novel. Second of all, I don't even see what they see in Riley. I had no connection with her, I didn't even like her character, she's an immature little slut that is following the footsteps of her blonde, money hungry mother. The story on the side was weak and totally uneventful and had no risk to it so I felt pretty cheated. There are other ménage a tois books out there that I've read that are much better stories and reads than this one. I have no idea if I will read another book by this author or not. I did find myself skimming through the last 1/4 of the book cause I wanted to see where it would end and it didn't get any better. Boo....
I've said this once and I'll say it again, Olivia Hawthorne is the queen of serial romances! I loved the Boss brother serials but this novel was like an extra scoop of ice cream on top of an already amazing sundae! You get the full experience of having the full series all together plus a delicious (yes I said delicious) epilogue of Riley, Gunner, and Maddox! You can't help but love Gunner and Maddox! I mean they are hot, sexy, determined men who will do anything for their woman Riley. After reading the full novel, one thing's for sure, I DEFINITELY CANT choose between them! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
Riley is caught between two men who want her. They asked her to choose. But why should she if she could have both? Very thought out story line. Several twists and turns. Wish the bitchy, Margaret was thrown in jail though. Lol. The book has so much passion and understanding. Riley was so unsure of herself at the beginning of the book. Seemed as if you watched her grow into a woman. A woman who has two loving men.
{That’s what love did to a person though; it made the rest of the world glow with a special shine of joy. It made you want the same thing for everyone around you, and it made you strive for happiness in all aspects of your life.}
Loved this book. I'm already a huge fan of Olivia's books but her twin books are my favorite. ;) it's always just nice to have the contrast between the two and they are always so loving and caring for the girl. I was slightly confused about some of the Ryan stuff. One chapter they agreed with Riley. They said they have been watching him and wanted to write him up and fire him. But then the next Ryan was working under cover for them? I guess maybe they just couldn't tell Riley but I found it slightly odd. Any who still a great read and definitely recommend it!
Having never read anything by Olivia Hawthorne before, I thought I would give this one a go. I fancied something abit different and this definitely fit the bill!!
It is an easy read and wasn't challenging at all, the characters were likable and the plot was almost believable. I blushed whilst reading this book many times and found the "50 shades of grey" aspect a little bit much at times but I guess this just added to the story line and how the reader was drawn in to the characters more and more. Plus who doesn't like reading a book like this from time to time.
I did think it went abit too far with the ending and the epilogue was ridiculous! Overall, I enjoyed this book for what it was.
I loved this book Riley will have a hard choice to deal with when it comes to her new twin stepbrothers. Maddox is what she has looking for with his fun and witty side as for gunner he is more down to the business side of things what will she ever do to decide. Maddox and gunner have come up with a way that everyone can be happy. This book has a lot of trills and spills that will make you keep reading just out which one of these fine guys she will pick .
Ménage stories are usually same theme like of books. Not this one. It kept my interest from first page to the last. It had a little intrigue within the story, lots of romantic love, lots of sexy erotic scenes and best of all it had a really good story from start to finish. Loved the lengthy epilogue. First time read anything by this author. I gonna explore her other books. Definitely recommend
Good story with some action and interesting characters. I didn't like that there was no real background on the twins. Also, they fell instantly in love but no real reasoning or why other than looks so it just didn't feel real... I liked the beginning and end as there was more meat to the story and that is where you really start to feel you were getting to know Maddox and Gunner; just wished for more.
There is so much taboo coming out of this book I don't know whether to blush or not. I absolutely loved the Characters they were interesting and different. The brothers were so uniquely different you couldn't help love them both. Overall this is a great story about love.
Riley attended another wedding for her mother. Hopefully this would be her last. Riley had spied a hunk at the reception and decided that she wanted him if only for a night. Little did she know that was her stepbrother. But then there would be another surprise when she goes to work for the family business of her new step-dad. OMG her new boss is the hunk from the reception or is it.
This was a poorly written imitation of a romance story. It read as though it was written by someone young and utterly ignorant of business and life in general. There were numerous instances of wrong word usage. The only reason I finished it is because I'm a little OCD about finishing books I start. I won't be reading anything else by this author.
I just say this book made me giddy. I just loved it. How Riley didn't know that there was two of them in the begging or how she thought Gunner was Maddox. Awesome story and characters. Loved everything about it.
What a great book! I just loved the way it was out together. Two hot men and their stepsister. You get mystery, love, sex, fighting and jealousy too. What more could you want? I wish it continued on to a series.
I loved this book. I loved both Boss brothers. You could see how much love they all had for each other. I loved how protective they were of Riley. I also liked the side characters too. A good book. Will definitely read again!
