Carley Kingston is a young hermaphrodite individual who struggles to survive the sinister acts of her unstable mother who refuses to see her as a girl because of her penis. Although Carley receives love and protection from her Daddy and Nanny, her mother Veronica psychologically abuses her. The story, narrated through flashbacks in the form of memories, is part of Carley's diary, which is delivered to a law firm.

However, the diary isn’t addressed to anyone's attention. When it arrives, it gets the attention of young forensic psychology doctoral student, Lori, who just started working at the firm. Lori gets her friend Vicki, an administrative assistant, to join her in solving the mysteries. Carley is the youngest of triplets and daughter of Dr. David Kingston, a brilliant cardiologist.

Her unstable mother, Veronica Kingston does not hold back her resentment for Carley developing invisibly inside her along with her two sisters Casey and Carey--not showing up on any ultrasounds. Veronica punishes Carley for crashing into her perfect world unannounced. At age sixteen, Carley experiences the happiest time in her life as she anticipates her parents’ potential divorce. Carley looks forward to the time that she and her nanny will no longer live under the same roof with Veronica. But her happiness is cut short when a traumatic event results in Carley falling into a three-year coma. She wakes in a mental institution and discovers that everything had changed in her life, including her Daddy. When she is released, her father takes her to live in a house that she has no memory of. When the door opens, Carley sees Veronica. She looks back to her father, but he is no longer there—but is it all real? Carley passes out. She wakes in darkness, in a state of dissociative amnesia, left to figure out what’s real in the unfamiliar world she now lives. Carley discovers that her brain has erased seven years of her life. She’s been drugged and exploited in a $450 million dollars money extortion scheme. But does her father have anything to do with it? Did he somehow fall under Veronica’s spell?

I am the author of DADDY ~Carley's Diary~ and of course I think it's awesome! It's understandable that a writer would be bias of his or her work! So, please read the novel for yourself and tell me what you think!

It's a psychological suspense planned series about the life and trauma of a young Intersex (hermaphrodite). Carley's biological mother, Veronica Kingston is challenged with a mental illness, but does it excuse the sinister acts that she employed to punished Carley for crashing into her 'perfect world'. Or, is it Veronica's greed and selfishness the underlying reason behind her cruel treatment of her daughter? And what about DADDY's efforts to shield and protect Carley from the psychological abuse?

The book is a page flipper that touches on many topics, to include gender identity disorders, dissociative amnesia, dissociative Identity disorder, borderline personality disorder, emotional trauma, murder, greed, acceptance and more. The plot extends from the fictional city of Freemont, Louisiana to Williamsburg, Virginia. The setting opens and ends in a quaint village town on the Potomac River, not far from Washington, DC.

The story is narrated in a two persons point of view, Lori Ellison, a young forensic psychology doctoral student who just landed a job at the law firm and Carley Kingston.
