His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47's past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.

The artwork may be sketchy, but it's certainly visceral and brutal. You have kicks, punches, daggers and 47's signature garrote and Silverballers carving a path through opponents like a hot knife through butter. He's not getting the Silent Assassin rating on this one.

47 infiltrates the palace by flirting with the duchess. I thought he only did the dress-up, not the gigolo routine. From then on, nothing stands in his way. He gains information on what the Syndicate is attempting - to create an army of men with his skills.

I'm fairly removed from everything about Hitman, but I did enjoy this. It actually makes me want to look into it more.

Hmm. I was hoping since this was a prequel to the movie, it could stand on its own, since I haven't seen the film and don't really intend to watch it. But, this was in no way a "story", it was just a bunch of action scenes and no story. But, what I read was very well done, the action scenes carried out with precision and beautiful realism. I wasn't overly fond of the illustrations, as they lacked a little detail that I prefer, but I can see that it was necessary for the action scenes.

The premise of the comic is about as far away from Hitman as you can possibly get. There is no reason for the character to do what he does (no spoilers) other than the artist and storyteller wanting to add action. This is more akin to Terminator than Hitman.

I was hoping this would be a self-contained story, but no such luck. The last thing I need is to watch the godawful HITMAN: AGENT 47 movie again.

Easily a 4.5

It has its moments but it's also attached to H:A47 which is one of my favorite movies ever so it's hard to go wrong.

Kind of plops you right down in the middle of a story but it doesn't seem to matter. Interesting.

Action packed, like the artwork as well.

Extremely short and quick. Not much for story, just a setup.

Enjoyed it, even though was brief.

I love me some Agent 47! Being a fan of the Hitman game series this was a must read for me. Though it's short it still delivers the mystery, action and assassins blood that only Agent 47 can give out. 4 stars and can't wait to see the movie.

It was great! I just wish it could've been longer! Is this the only comic/graphic novel featuring Hitman: Agent 47?

Reads exactly as if someone played a level of one of the computer games then wrote it up in comic book format.

I tried to watch the film and it made no sense. I was going through the Kindle comic section and saw this listed as free. After reading it I'm as confused as ever.

Maybe a 2.5; it is interesting in parts, but mainly it is overly dry and just too straight forward. Everyone just seems emotionless and the ending really leaves something to be desired.
