Ed Young is the founding pastor of Fellowship Church and a New York Times bestselling author. Ed and his wife Lisa have been married for over 40 years and have four children, one who is in Heaven. This was the book small groups at my church read in the fall of 2005. It was fairly simple and straightforward. Like many Christian books, I quibbled at times with its assumptions about its readership's political values.

Probably the most interesting thing that came out of studying this book was a discussion our group had on the chapter entitled "Fear of Failure." In this city, where droves of people arrive every day armed with big ambition, sometimes I think we get paralyzed not only by fear of failure but also by fear of success. If we really do achieve what we think we want (career, money, fame), and it doesn't fulfill us... what then?
