PERFECT LITTLE STORY!!!
About Jackson & Sylvia's baby - or rather the short time from the babyshower we read about in Deepest Kiss until he/she is born.
Also about how Slyiva deals with being a step-mom to Ronnie....
Very adorable and sexy and moving....
A MUST READ for fans of the Stark family series!

This story is free for all who read Deepest kiss - you'll find a link in the back of it ☺

My Review:

This was such a charming novella and its free on J.Kenner's website. I loved getting this glimpse into Jackson and Sylvia. They were so charming to get back to and I had forgotten how much I loved these two together. There is something so fun about the Stark world that this author has created. I really loved the way that this book developed and we also see such fascinating blend of heart and emotion. This novella is mostly surrounding Sylvia being pregnant, and some struggles they have as a family with some complications happening there. It had so much heart and deep emotion and if you love getting these HEA glimpses that give you all the feels, then I highly recommend it.

I love that J. Kenner keeps giving us these novellas so that we get more of our favorite characters. This was a wonderful gift that the author provided for Jackson and Sylvia fans. It was so sweet to see the days leading up to the birth of baby Steele. Even though this was short we got sweet, drama, sexy, and more of our favorites!

Final Score - 5 Sweet as a Newborn Babe Stars!

Nikki and Damien aren't front & center in this little novella... it's Jackson & Sylvia!

This was such a sweet, albeit too short read. They're having a baby, but poor Ronnie is starting to feel much like older siblings do when a new member arrives... left out. Sylvia shows how much she has grown as mom to set poor Ronnie's fears to rest, but then Baby Steele wants to make their entrance into the world - with a little bit of drama.

Never fear, all's well now that Baby Steele has arrived and the family has grown plus one!

Great companion to the Stark/Steele Series. I only wish would could get more of these.

Great novella with Jackson and Sylvia. I love the stark ever after novellas so this one with jackson and Sylvia was so awesome to read. The link to get it was in the back of the stark novella Deepest Kiss. It was extremely nice of j kenner to gift her fans with more Jackson. Damien will always be my number one but Jackson definitely gives him a run for the money. If you loved Jackson and Sylvia in the Stark International series you definitely will want to read this.

Loved this short, sexy story about Sylvia and Jackson right before, during and slightly after they had their first child.
What I loved most was not the love that was clearly evident between Jackson and Sylvia, but Jackson's daughter Ronnie's fears that she would be replaced by the new baby, and that her parents would love the new baby more. It was so honest in the way it was questioned by Ronnie, and answered by Sylvia.
I hope to see more from this growing family!

A sweet short story about the birth of Jackson and Sylvia's baby. We found out what about the birth from Nikki's side, but now read about what happened from Jackson and Sylvia's point of view. Given how J. Kenner writes her books, I don't know why I'm surprised that a novella can pack such a punch with emotions, it's sweet, sexy, and tugs at the heart strings at times.
Loved it!

This is a quick, short, special look into the birth of Jackson and Sylvia's baby that we didn't get to hear about in Under my Skin. Loved it, very heartwarming and was a bit of a tissue moment at the end of the book. Definitely need to read this if you have read the Start Inernational Series!

Steal my Heart is a short Novella about Sylvia and Jackson Steele, about the baby shower and birth of their son Jeffrey. We have come across the story from Nikki & Damien's POV so Julie has brought us moments from Sylvia's & Jackson's POV to fill in the blanks.

The novella starts from the end of Sylvia's baby shower and leads into a beautiful tender evening between Jackson & Sylvia and I adore that Jackson looks at Sylvia and see's his whole world and just absolutely worships her, he never fails to make me melt!

The following few days in the Novella are filled with lovely family moments with Ronnie and heartfelt confessions about Sylvia's fear of being a mother to Ronnie and their new baby, will she be good enough. We also get some heart grabbing moments from little Ronnie asking Sylvia if she will love the new baby more and a couple of these moments lead up to the moment where the baby's birth is happening and Ronnie is Sylvia's little hero. During the birth Jackson is left out of the delivery room and we get his POV waiting for the arrival and to hear if both Sylvia and Baby are OK, this little moment in Jackson head is great feeling the love for his family and his devotion to them is heart warming.

Overall a nice little read for any fans of the stark universe series

Sylvia is about two weeks from giving birth and the baby is kicking up a storm. She and Jackson have Ronnie with them now and Ronnie is concerned that Sylvia will love the baby more than her but Sylvia assures her that Ronnie is in her heart even though she didn't come out of her body. Pain causes Jackson to call for a helicopter to take Sylvia to the hospital where the doctors work to save the baby as the cord is around its neck. Mother and baby are fine and Jackson and Ronnie get to meet baby Jeffery Michael Steele.

Ronnie has grown up being cared for by her aunt and uncle. When the uncle dies, she goes to live with her great-grandmother. As an only child, she usually got what she wanted and is spoiled. In this book, she acted like a spoiled brat.

This is such a wonderful story. It shows the real fears expectant parent and siblings go through when there is about to be a new family member. For Sylvia is was the fact that she's going to be a mother of a new born for the first time. Even though she has Ronnie, it's going to be different.
For Ronnie, her four year old fears of being not loved, or thrown aside for the new child entering the picture. And for Jackson, the realization that he truly is blessed to have not only the love of his life and his daughter but now a new addition with his love. He truly has everything a man could want but the fear of having it is another story. This story read true on all those levels.

What a wonderful short story. Loved that we get to experience Jeffrey’s birth with Sylvia and Jackson. So sweet how Ronnie struggles with a new child coming into their lives and her insecurities. Sylvia is so amazing with her. Just another wonderful reason why I love this series of characters. It’s so much fun being invited back in for milestone moments and experiencing their lives after the initial books finished. Just a joy to read.

Dual perspective, his and hers, it's written as a hybrid first/third person perspective. This is a good quick story of the baby shower and the birth. It's not an overly detailed account of the birth that wasn't smooth sailing, but it adds a little bit more than the other books did. High flying drama in this book. I was disappointed that there were a lot of question marks in this book regarding the pregnancy/birth that are really explained or cleared up, but that's life sometimes.

“I see the same expression on his face that I saw on our wedding night. He wants me, not just the packaging, and that knowledge warms me, making me feel safe and cherished.”

This is a quick read, but you don’t want to miss it. It’s told from another POV and still chokes me up. It has passion, fear, steaminess, uncertainty and sweetness all in a face paced quick read.

I am so addicted to these books that I beg for them, literally!

Jackson and Sylvia are expecting and are almost at the finish line for her pregnancy. She has had a baby shower by her best girls while the guys did their thing but they all came to Cortez to share and enjoy some fun in the sun, relaxation, and the company of each other.

While there Ronnie starts to question whether or not Mommy is going to love her as much as the new baby. Sylvia is doing her best to reassure her with love and explanations even though she is questioning whether or not she is doing a good job. After being extra tired and having some lightheadedness and Ronnie accidentally spills water on Sylvia's laptop's keyboard Sylvia has yelled at Ronnie and hurt her feelings. She is trying to make that right, and doing a really good job (in my opinion) when a pain hits her and doubles her over. She barely gets "go get daddy" out before passing out.

Jackson has now been in the hallway waiting on the doctors to let him in Sylvia's room after learning that she is in early labor but too late to do a c-section AND the cord is wrapped around the baby's neck. They're doing everything possible. Jackson is going crazy while Ronnie chooses this moment to do the things only kids can do and seems to ground him by saying she is sorry. As they are finishing up that the nurse comes to get Jackson just then....

You'll have to read it to find out more of the sexy and sweet details as well as how things turn out. Trust me, you will enjoy this, especially if you are a fan of Jackson and Sylvia's story.

Keep writing Ms. Kenner and we'll keep reading! Please!

Title: Steal My Heart
Author: J. Kenner
Genre: Romance
Format: Ebook
Rating: 5

Main Characters: Sylvia, Jackson

Supporting Characters: Ronnie

Summary: The Steele family is about to get bigger, or is it?

Thoughts: OMG, for such a short, quick story, it still made me cry. Ms. Kenner has such a way with words which is why she is one of my favorite authors. The portrayal of a new, expecting mother was perfect. The fear, doubt, joy, and excitement made me remember when I was expecting. And little Ronnie’s fears and excitement just…. awwww. Even though Sylvia has been a mother to Ronnie, she’s 4, so Sylvia didn’t experience the newborn party (ha ha) and she still fears she won’t be a good mom, something EVERY mom goes through. Anyway, great little short!

I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
