Some secrets are better kept just that - secrets.

At least that's what Ronan Devlin believed when he walked away from the world of paid sex to marry Keinya Greaves. However, it seems life has different plans for him. Out of his past emerges people he'd rather forget and secrets he'd prefer stayed buried.
As his world spins out of control, Ronan struggles to hold on to the happiness he's found in Keinya's arms. But the tighter he holds on, the more he discovers that no matter how much he wants to, he can never really hide from his past.

Ronan was a male escort until he met and married Keinya. He became a devoted husband, teacher, and wanted to be a father. Unfortunately, an ex-girlfriend comes back with a surprise for him, and an old "frienemy" returns with a plan to ruin Ronan's happiness. He is keeping all of this from Keinya who is trying to get preggers with their first child. Because of his silence and secrets she jumps to the conclusion that Ronan is having an affair.

Keinya is not very likable, she is suspicious, unforgiving, self righteous, and selfish. Ronan lacked backbone when it came to his wife. The book was okay but not very developed, the big "put the heroine in danger" scene was not exciting, more suspense could have been created using Ronan's ex- girlfriend. Though this is an interracial romance you won't find that to be a key part of the story beyond the physical description of the characters early in the book.

Great Read

The only complaint I have with this book is the typo's and missing and added words. But other than that this was a pretty good story with a believable story line. I like Me Ewing's works. Keep up the good works
