Owen is devastated. He was willing to give up everything for Daisy, but she refused. He wants to believe there is a way to bring her back, even if it means getting help from the unlikeliest of sources.
Daisy is numb. She has lost any ability to feel human emotion. Her dreams are her only escape from her dull existence, and even those are fading.
Owen and Daisy are both lost, and only their love for each other will bring them back together.
Alyssa Rose Ivy is the bestselling author of more than forty novels with over one million books sold worldwide. She loves to weave stories with romance and humor, and she is best known for writing about college boys with wings. After surviving law school and earning her masters in library science, she turned back to her creative side and decided to write. Although raised in the New York area, she fell in love with the South after moving to New Orleans for college. She lives in Alabama with her two children, and she can usually be found with a cup of coffee in her hand.
I received Lost in return for an honest review. Daisy refused to let Owen give up his wings for her instead embracing being an Allure but that also means saying goodbye to Owen. While Daisy may have accepted her fate being stuck as an Allure Owen hasn’t given up searching for her and is determined to find her at any cost. While Daisy is with her fellow Allure’s she’s not like them the transformation hasn’t completed she still has just enough that made her human still. Her fellow Allure’s are torn what to do with Daisy because she’s not transforming and still holds on to just a little of what makes her human.
When a road trip ends up leading them into the attention of a supernatural being who’s after Daisy things take a turn that can change everything. Owen continues to work on finding Daisy even finding help from a uncle he didn’t even know exists. While searching for Daisy he finds an unlikely friend has come to help but with an ulterior motive motive. Will Owen find a way to save Daisy from being a full Allure and what happens when Daisy meets Sol?
I love Daisy and Owen they are just perfect for each other even if they both spend most of the series chasing after each other. When they are together things are on fire and the chemistry between the two is on fire. I love the supporting character we’ve gotten to see more of Hailey as well as the Allures who have added Daisy to their little group. We’ve also added some new characters to tease us for future books.
I’ve been dying to get my hands on Lost since it’s the third book in my favorite Alyssa Rose Ivy series so far. I love the characters they are just so perfect for each other even though most of the book they are apart. I love that while all the characters have their own unique story that they are intertwined just enough together because than I don’t miss those I’ve had to say goodbye to. I love the paranormal world that they live in with the humans oblivious to the supernatural all around them, and than we have the elders in their own little fantasy world. The author has created another beautifully written installment in the Allure Chronicles that doesn’t dissapoint. Lost is a an action packed novel that kept me on the edge of my seat leaving me wanting more. It was hard to put down because I had to see what would happen next. I’m curious to see how this is all going to play out. Highly recommend that you check out Flight which is a perfect intro info this amazing paranormal world.
* This review may contain spoilers for Books #0.5 - 2.
This novel was surprisingly enjoyable when considering my opinions of the last few books in this series. I still did a lot of skimming, especially in the Owen chapters. They were so boring. It only started getting interesting after the Drago showed up, but by then I only had a few chapters left because the book was almost at it's end. There's also a cliffhanger thrown in for good measure. This one isn't as bad as the one in the second book, but it is still a cliffhanger.
I really liked the emotionless Daisy. She was a far more interesting and entertaining character that way. I liked how blunt and to the point she was. With the exception being thinking about Owen, because then she got so repetitive. I understand you lost your one true love, just don't remind me of all that you went through physically and emotionally every 5 pages.
I only remember Owen from the last few chapters because that's when the story fell into place. Before that it felt like one big filler. I would have been happy with a paragraph explaining what had happened with Owen and his group in the end, that way I would get more Daisy chapters.
I enjoyed Sol as a character. Even though the reader is barely introduced to him and 10 minutes later everything goes to hell. I wanted to know more about him and why he did what he did. I keep wondering what his true motivation was.
This was one of the better books in this series when you consider my love/hate relationship with it. I will be picking up the last book when it releases because I do want to know how this ends and I am a sucker for happily ever afters (which I hope is what the author is planning).
My Favorite Quotes:
"Sometimes in life the thing we want the most isn't what we're looking for."
"Doubting is negative. It means you've lost faith. But questioning is altogether different. It means you're thinking through a situation and making sure you agree with the steps being taken."
"Sometimes pain can borrow so deep inside a person that afterward they are no longer the person they were before."

Best. Part. Of. The. Series. That's all. I'm joking but seriously guys. This book was just mind blowing. So many feels. So many emotions. Angst. And the ending? My jaw hit the floor. I was so shocked. AMAZING.
This part picks up some time after the last part ended. Daisy and Owen are back to the normal world but they have been separated. Again. The first one is going through the change of becoming a full Allure but instead of feeling the positive effects (if they are any!) of being an allure, she mostly feels numb. And it seems her power of creating desire in men has not calmed down. She feels numb and is not satisfied with any manipulation of feelings. It's like she has a hollow void in her soul. The only thing that still brings her something is Owen.
Owen. Gah. He is even more amazing here than in the previous parts. Even though at the beginning I thought he has given up, after Hailey showed up and made him move his butt, he started to look for a solution to bring Daisy back. And on the journey of bringing her back he meets new people and also connects with old ones, that he was sure he will not meet. Like ever.
I loved this part. Alyssa has shown us how important love is but also how important family is. The relationship between Owen and Hailey is just simply beautiful. You can see they love and care about each other. Simply amazing.
ohhhhhhh Daisy why oh why did you go with them. I was literally crying and screaming at the ending of Lust, broke my heart. Owens was willing to give up the most precious thing that makes him who is a pteron, his wing. Im mean wow that is love right there. But I can see Daisy's side too she didn't want him to give up the thing that makes Owen.
So now Daisy has gone off with Violet,Hugh, and Roland, after she lost her ability to feel human emotions, but she still has these dreams of the owen which she holds close to her, which are also now fading day by day. I was literally praying that she really hadn't lost her feelings completely. Daisy meets a new character Sol, and I love Sol. His sense of humour is hilarious but he may be more useful to Daisy then she thinks. With Owen literally distraught, his lost the one girl he completely gave his heart to and thought they would make a life together. But he feels he has lost yet another girl and he doesn't understand why she would not let him give up his wings. Then Hailey, his bubbly sister, comes into life again, basically to tell her brother to pull himself together and change it. I love Hailey. She is brilliant, she does not care and basically just says as it is haha love it. Hailey and Owen might fight but will do anything for their sibling, they both take a trip to a family relative that may know the answers he desperately wants. We also met Wyatt again which is the supernatural being I got so excited about. I completely love DRAGONS and to have dragon shifters, I seriously need to book him.
A lot happened in this one and yep you guessed it, that ending was jawing-dropping I couldn't believe it. I was sitting here like no way are you kidding me now things really get interesting. The mystery really does keep on going. But I now can't wait for the last book for this series, and I can see it being one hell of a whirlwind of a final fight. Bring it on!
I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was in no way compensated for this review.
Have I fully mentioned how much I LOVE Alyssa Rose Ivy’s books?! Her New Adult series is one that’s so widespread and it’s PARANORMAL!! I absolutely LOVE how all the series connect and interact with one another, and yet stand entirely on their own! Basically we get a lot of cameo appearances from previous characters and I love that! I love seeing the familiar faces, I love the new faces…it’s all soooo incredible!
Lost is the third installment in the Allure Chronicles! That’s right! We’re not done with Daisy and Owen yet! I initially thought that this one would be the finale, but as the story moved on and that percentage at the bottom got closer and closer to 100, I knew there would be at least one more book!! Now just to wait for that to happen! Alyssa hasn’t let me down yet and I refuse to believe she will do so now!
When we last left Daisy and Owen, Daisy had made the ultimate sacrifice. She agreed to be an Allure in order to save Owen’s wings; though he would’ve been happy to give them up to be with her. Daisy is now struggling to adjust to the Allure lifestyle and oddly enough, she’s failing. She refuses to take in the feelings from people she manipulates, much to her new friends’/group’s(?) dismay. It’s hard to give a name to Violet, Hugh, and Roland. They’re her pack of sorts, but she really doesn’t like being an Allure and fighting off Roland’s advances is getting tiring.
We see Owen still in a depressive state, but it’s Hailey who comes to the rescue and tells him to come home and soon enough the siblings work with their father and newly met uncle in order to find something to help bring the old Daisy back. Courses are set for the characters and the adventure is underway.
I love how these books now give us both the perspectives of the heroine and hero! I just love being able to be inside both of their heads. Plus, the change of scenery is a breath of fresh air, especially when the two are separated constantly. And it’s not necessarily by choice either! So it leaves you acing to see what the other is up to and when the action gets moving, you want to see it keep moving forward!
We see some new characters in this one. And of course, a few familiar faces! Though my constant reading of different books has me struggling to remember everyone! If only I thought to start taking more detailed notes and forming summaries sooner! But I’ll definitely be prepared for the next one!
I’m really hoping Hailey will be getting a story next! I feel like we’re being set up for it with a few tiny moments she has throughout this book! She’s such a fun and feisty character! I love her loyalty to her friends and family. She is definitely someone you would want to have your back!
I don’t want to get into too many details about this one, but we definitely get a few more plot directions for the story! And I am all the more excited to read it!! Hopefully Alyssa will be dishing out details soon, because I am dying for a nibble! LOL!
You can expect to see a lot of great things in this one! The action in this one is more regulated to suspense! We’re building up to things to come and there’s still a few secrets and mysteries to uncover! It leaves you in a very good place, with just enough of a twist to have your jaw dropping! So now we can all eagerly await for the fourth book in this series, because it’s sure to go out with a bang!
“I loved her with every part of myself. My heart had been broken before, but this was more than broken. This was shattered. I’d lost a part of myself when Daisy disappeared from my life, and I was positive that without her I’d never find myself again.”
“Sometimes in life the thing we want the most isn’t what we’re looking for.”
“Pain is personal. What is agony to one person is barely an annoyance to another. And sometimes it can be something else entirely. Sometimes pain can burrow so deep inside a person that afterward they are no longer the person they were before.”
It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of The Allure Chronicles, and with each story, I fall deeper and deeper into Daisy and Owen’s story. Lost is no exception.
Lost picks up right where the last book left off. Daisy is trying to live with the consequences of her decision. But, tough decisions are never easy, especially when they cost you the one you love. Daisy is just going through the motions, and the only escape she has from the numbness is her dreams…..Owen is completely lost without Daisy. His heart aches and for one small moment, he feels as though all is lost. That is until his sister knocks some sense into him and reminds him of what’s really important. Now, Owen is on a quest. A quest to see if the future can be changed. A quest to bring Daisy back. Will Daisy and Owen be able to find their way back to each other? Or does fate have other plans in mind? You’ll just have to read it for yourself to find out!
Lost is a fabulous addition to The Allure Chronicles. This story is well-written and enchanting. From the first page, you are sucked back into Daisy and Owen’s story. It feels as though no time has passed since the last story ended. My heart really went out to Daisy. Her decision was tough, but in her mind, it was the only thing she could do. She loved Owen so much, that she was willing to sacrifice herself for him. And now, all she is left with is loss and nothingness. There is still something quite special about Daisy. Things are not progressing as they should be. And Owen…just when I think I couldn’t possibly love this guy anymore, he proves me wrong. His love and determination are so fierce. He will stop at nothing to find a way back to Daisy. The journey for these two is not an easy one,but the love that these two share is strong. And maybe just maybe, love can conquer all. However, just like with any good tale, the story won’t be complete without one very good twist. One very good ending that will leave wondering what in the world is going to happen now?
Alyssa Rose Ivy has truly outdone herself with Lost. She has given me a wonderful paranormal romance that’s filled with lots of mystery and intrigue. It’s got just the right amount of angst, romance and steam. She’s got me asking questions and has left me on the edge of my seat. And all I can say is I can’t wait to see where the story will go next. Fans of The Allure Chronicles, this is a must read!
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
Lost by Alyssa Rose Ivy is book 3 in the Allure Chronicles series. It is a PNR novel that will blow your mind. It is recommended that you read the previous books in this series before opening the pages of Lost.
"Pain is personal. Sometimes pain can burrow so deep inside a person that afterward they are no longer the person they were before."
Having come to an abrupt and chest-tightening end in Lust, we are now forced to watch as Daisy and Owen reevaluate the future. Left with no other choice, they must now face the burdens of life, having lost a part of themselves.
"I'd felt love. And I wouldn't lose the emotion again, it was mine, and I wasn't giving it up."
When I turned on my Kindle to begin Lost, I had hopes of events that would occur and what I would find. Author Alyssa Rose Ivy proved to be at the top of her writing game in this new addition to the Allure series. Told in dual points of view, Lost was an emotional and action-packed addition to the Allure Chronicles. I loved Daisy and Owen. The way their lives have grown, the sacrifices made, and the ever-abounding otherworldly connection that has held them together are all things that continued in this book and created a further bond and stronghold between my heart and their lives. Equally as compelling were the other unique characters with personalities that magically drew me to them; the most fascinating thing was that each could easily be distinguished from the other, with no confusion in their identities. Author Alyssa Rose Ivy crafted a story replete with symbolism and foreshadowing, maintaining a pull that continued from beginning until the end, paving the way for an unforgettable tale. I was in awe of the relationships forged, those rekindled, and those set aside. All of these things combined to give me moments of laughter, many sighs and gasps, warm-fuzzy feelings, and, at times, an uncontrollable urge to want to run screaming. There was absolutely nothing I would change about this book. It was writing at its finest.
I really enjoyed this book. Man, the numbness Daisy was experiencing and then only being able to manipulate desire would be horrible. I wonder why her transformation into a full Allure didn’t work properly. What do the Elders want with Daisy and in general. I loved seeing Owen and Hailey’s relationship in this book and that they still argue constantly like they have in previous Chronicles World books but they’d do anything for each other. I loved how the were introduced to their Uncle Jim that they had no idea existed as Robert didn’t like Jim’s instance on mythological creatures still existing like Allures and Dragos. Even though Owen and Hailey thought Jim was very strange they still went along on his journey to help them track down Dryads as they should be able to help them track down the herb that was used in the Seduction Kiss paste that slowed the transformation down, as otherwise being given the whole Allure essence would’ve k*lled her since she was originally human and Jim thinks that the herb may be able to help her if she hasn’t fully transformed. I loved meeting Sol the Seer and hopefully there are snippets of him in the last book as he seemed to kind of care/like Daisy. I found it funny how annoyed Owen was getting with Wyatt the Drago. I loved how much Georgina seems to care for a lot of more people than she lets on and would do anything to help them but that’s if she actually likes them lol. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in the final book like will Jim and Hailey find the herb needed that can possibly help Daisy, What does Wyatt and the Dragos want Owen and the Society’s help with and does the Elders plan work. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
Wow… what a book! Lost by Alyssa Rose Ivy is the latest release in the PNR series Allure Chronicles that focuses on Rose Ivy’s characters Owen and Daisy. I do highly recommend that you read at least all the books within this series in order to really understand the relationship and issues surrounding Owen and Daisy’s journey in Lost.
As I started to read Lost, I knew in my heart that this would be one hell of a story. Rose Ivy held her own and once again floored me with her star crossed love story. Rose Ivy gives you a touch of everything in Lost. It’s got the romance, angst, heat, mystery, villians, heros, and a touch of whimsical fairytale all thrown in. I have always been such a huge fan of Owen. His character is so different from the rest. He is reserved, thoughtful and has an inner strength unlike anyone else Rose Ivy has created. His connection to Daisy has grown so much over the course of the Allure Chronicles. Their unbelievable bond and sacrifice has forged a stronghold in my heart that will only continue to grow with future books as their story continues.
Throughout the years of reading Rose Ivy’s work, I have always been a huge fan of the way she expertly weaves her storylines, creates her unique well developed characters, and also gives you an unbelievably great magical tale that captures your heart as well as your attention. Her unbelievable attention to detail and her ability to project her stories on so many different levels and facets will forever set her apart from other PNR writers out there.
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
OMG When the last book ended I was devastated. I have been dying to get back to Daisy and Owen but life has been getting in the way soooo today when I had the chance….I DEVOURED IT. The book picks up right after Daisy has given up her humanity to save Owen’s wings…sniff sniff…..Owen is lost and a MESS. I mean his heart is broken. We all know Owen wears his heart on his sleeve anyway but to not have his heart……sad broken Owen.
Daisy is trying to adjust to having no emotion. She is trying and yet she can’t stop thinking about Owen. She even gets annoyed at other Allures annnnd people that shouldn’t be happening…..remember no emotions are allowed.
The allures realize there is a bit of a snag in her transformation as Owen, his sister, dad and uncle…what uncle???? Go looking through the old basement of supernatural beings scriptures to find something to save Daisy. When we find out about why Daisy isn’t fully transformed it was a cool plot twist. When we see a supernatural going against the Allures for Daisy and Owens happiness I was giddy but the ending…….I was super excited for more of the series to come……
Lost is the best book in The Allure Chronicles so far! Lost picks up where Lust left off. Daisy has become an Allure, or somewhat of one, after not allowing Owen to give up his wings for her. But, Owen is determined to find Daisy and turn her back into a human, or at least get her human feelings back. We are introduced to some fun new characters in this book. After reading Lust and not being as thrilled by it as I was by Lure, I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to continue with this series or if I was going to like this book, but I'm so glad I decided to continue reading this series because I did enjoy this book! Alyssa leaves us with a jaw dropping cliffhanger at the end, so I just have to read the next book in this series!
Lost is the third book in the Allure Chronicles by Alyssa Rose Ivy. Lost is the perfect title, because with Daisy's numb, mostly emotionless state and with Owen feeling helpless and heartbroken, they are both pretty lost. We get to meet some new characters that added to the intrigue with their shady ways. We get more details and information within this book, and it seems the elders may be a little more invested than we previously though. Lastly... The ending?? What?! You can't do that to me, and then just end! Need the next book yesterday!!
The ARC of Lost by Alyssa Rose Ivy was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.
The Allure chronicles is definitely one of my favorite stories by Alyssa. Daisy is trying to stay away from Owen. She knows if she finds Owen she could get his wings taken from him. She isn't a full allure because she still shows signs of having human feelings. She meets a guy named Sol who is a seer. She has this feeling that he wouldn't kill her. But she knew if he did kill her then she wouldn't feel the numbness anymore
Owen is going through a hard time loosing daisy. When it looks like he is giving up his younger sister comes to the rescue! We get to meet Owen's uncle Jim. He is a very interesting person. I can't wait to figure out how he knows so much about the Allures.
This book will have your emotions go crazy. At the end your mouth will hang open with shock! I can't wait for the next book!
When last we left Daisy, a huge abyss was forming between her and Owen. It was quite the cliffhanger. Now, thankfully, we learn that all hope is not lost. This news is thrilling for all fans of #OwenandDaisy.
Author Alyssa Rose Ivy creates a story here that is both well-told and gratifying. She has an uncanny knowledge of how to please her readers while also remaining true to Owen and Daisy.
This story flows so well from beginning to end. I literally could not put the book down until the major cliffhanger at the end. It is a mind blowing cliffhanger, and a wonderful book. 5 stars
Oh my wow factor. I am never speechless and I find that I cannot even put together a single thought expressive enough to describe the book. I have said it before and I will say it again Alyssa is a masterful writer who leaves you with jaw dropping plots that will cause serious mental side effects. I mean I didn't know what to expect...
Yeah that's all I got. I love Daisy and Owen's story and you are just going to have to read it. I'm rambling because it was so good that whatever I say will end up being a spolier. I was happy to see a few of my favs make an appearance.
Ok so yes read this book because it doesn't get better than this!!!!!
I barely ever write reviews. I'm not going to rate this book because well, it wasn't bad, just not my cup of tea. Epic fail. I can already guess what happens in the fourth book. Taylor explains everything, Daisy somehow manages to return the essence back to her, battle where elders are defeated some magically concocted way without anyone important dying, Daisy and Owen have their HEA, maybe even a prologue that shows their wedding or children. BUT maybe I am wrong. Daisy could accept the essence completely and give Owen half. Hm?
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
It's not secret that I love these Pteron men, they're loyal, fierce, sazy, and possessive and above all they would do anything for their woman and that's the case with Owen, “you’re not losing anything.” Owen pulled me back into his chest. “We’re going to try my uncle’s idea and find the herb. I’m sure it’s going to work.” I wasn't surprised to see a cliffhanger at the end, so I'm eager for the next book.
I am so glad I have finally got round to reading this! I absolutely love Owen and Daisy's story and am completely in love with the whole Allure scene. I was quite literally on the edge of my seat reading this book and that ending! Oh my gosh! I can't wait for the next book!
This certainly doesn't disappoint!! If anything it leaves so many more doors open and the twist at the end... Eeek! I can't wait to see what happens in book 4. Hopefully we get to see more of the older characters like Jared and Levi and more of Wyatt!!
The books picks up speed and doesn't stop. I like be all the characters in it and how they add to the plot. I love that Alyssa Rose Ivy is able to keep me guessing! I usually know right from the beginning what is going to happen, but she manages to surprise me with every book!
Oh my God! I love Daisy and Owen. I love the hope that this book gave back to me. I can't wait to read book 4! Also hello Wyatt! Can I get some more info. on him please?
Daisy and Owen find themselves apart and struggle to find one another again. This book introduces new characters and ties several story lines together. The world is smaller than you think.
Man, just when I think this story line can't get any better. I'm at a loss for words and trying to presume what will happen now is just insanity. Owen and Daisy's love is endless, but there troubles seem to be as well.
