Jetta Rivers has inherited half a house. Big problem: she has to share it with co-owner Anton Haviland, and her past has left her terrified of men.
Gorgeous Anton is a confident sexy architect, and he might be exactly who Jetta needs to put her crippling fear to rest. But can she allow him near enough? And would he even want to try?
A midnight disaster leaves her no option when he drags her off to the only bed left in the now-damaged house. She’s appalled to find how much she craves the man who plans to smash her inheritance to pieces. Anton is equally shocked when his sharp-tempered housemate attempts to seduce him.
WARNING: Contains one ambitious man with a tender heart and a body to die for. And one unlikely temptress with an ancient copy of The Joy of Sex.
Kris writes sizzling contemporary romance, pure and simple. Well, maybe not that pure! They're sexy stories about couples who fall in love, and into bed along the way, just like real people do.
The Scarlet Bay series about the billionaire Wynn family consists of Summer Sparks, Summer Secrets, and Summer Spice.

Her Heartlands series follows the girls who live deep in the New Zealand countryside.
Her all-time bestseller is 'Taken By The Sheikh', and there's 'Desired By The Sheikh' too.
She's now writing the Merry Summerfield cozy mysteries - lots of cats and dogs and amateur sleuthing. The first title is Murder in the Aisle, followed by Xmas Marks the Spot, Murder! they Meowed, and Body! they Barked.
For good measure, she's cloned herself! You'll now find some of her books in new, much sweeter editions under the author name of Kerri Peach.

Out of Reach by Kerri Peach (AKA Kris Pearson Hearts around the Harbor #4
Once I started I could not put this lovely love story down. The blurb says, “Out of Reach is the sweeter edition of Kris Pearson’s Out of Bounds. No swearing, less sex, but still plenty of flirting.” This is true with plenty left to the imagination BUT it is still tantalizing, titillating and a terrific read!
Jetta Rivers and Anton Haviland strike negative sparks when first they meet. Both have a completely different vision for the house that Jetta has been staying in and - as Jetta finds out – both own half of. Coming to terms with that issue, trying to determine whether or not they are related and dealing with a childhood trauma Jetta experienced are only a few issues the two face as they try to determine if theirs is an encounter that will last a week or perhaps much longer.
I highly recommend this wonderful story set in New Zealand to anyone looking for a good book to read and would like to thank the author for the copy to read. This is my honest review.
Mystery/suspense theme mixed with an enemies to lovers romance
Out of Bounds mixes a slight mystery/suspense theme into this enemies to lovers romance after a granddaughter inherits half her grandparents house alongside a sexy but unknown mystery man. There are some sensitive issues dealt with in this book but handled sensitively where the sizzling chemistry between the two characters doesn’t get subdued in any way. One thing I would say is that also there is a slight topic in the book (won’t reveal to avoid spoilers) that may not be to everyone’s taste but stick with it as it’s worth it in the end as the book unravels.
Told from dual perspective, Jetta and Anton have a strong insta-attraction that continues to simmer as these enemies find themselves as temporary roommates. Anton is one of those characters where you are instantly wary and it takes a little time to full warm up and understand him, but that’s not a bad thing in this book. Jetta is a determined young woman with past insecurities around men so watching the build up between herself and Anton helps you understand the connection that builds between them.
If you are looking for a well written romance with a bit of a unique take, definitely give this book a read. I enjoyed it!

Very thoroughly developed plot with a boggling dose of character development.
The trials and tribulations of the female lead might be triggers for some, but the cushion of fifteen years from the abusing events lets the reader think about them as historical events if necessary. That's worth it for the gentle and inspiring healing, the emotional heart of this volume.
Definitely recommended for fans of steaming hot contemporary romance. A box of chocolate truffles, a favorite red wine, and a container of finest Gelato greatly enhanced my enjoyment of this short book. Must save up for more Kris Pearson releases in this series.
I loved this book as it is so, different then the original one - Out of Bounds. This is the sweeter book that causes you to use your imagination. You get to met Jetta and Anton, see there love grow and know how each of them feels! Kris or Kerri are very good authors and you will enjoy this book. I was given this Advanced Readers Copy to voluntarily review this honestly.
Slow to start this heartbreaking story gets really twisty about the half way mark. Jetta and Anton are such a good match I hated the way their acquaintance started. The HEA though was worth the heartache.
Wonderful book. The Dynamics between the two main characters is wonderful. There is talk of past sexual abuse, if this is a trigger for you I would find a different book.
In Out of Bounds we meet Jetta, a troubled but innocent woman who meets her match in determined sexy businessman Anton. Can they both look towards their future when the past is beating down their door?
Jetta struggles with a past that keeps her from having the life she wants. You see her struggle internally with her fears and her growing attraction to Anton. I like that you see that struggle and it’s just not pushed under the rug in a moment of passion.
At First, Anton comes off as a gorgeous man who is only interested in what he wants. Then he surprises you when he shows he is lovable and likable all rolled into one endearing package.
So join Jetta and Anton in this touching, sexy read where a shared house wreaks havoc on their lives, midnight disasters opens other doors for them, and where a book and suitcase could possibly lead them in an unforgettable direction.
I felt that the female with all the problems stemming from her childhood gave in a little too easy to her male counterpart in the story, but alas, if things hadn't moved along at the pace they did the story might have grown long-winded and boring. As it is, the story was a cute romance with a nice plot twist near the end to solve everyone's problems. Kind of a 'Love Conquers All' theme. This isn't the first story I've read by Kris Pearson and I doubt if it will be the last. I like her style!
So far both the books that I have unfortunately read featured bimbo women who work as decorators. It's the 21st century, women are now board directors too.
Anyway, this protagonist was annoying. Highly strung, overly emotional and immature. It's insta-lust with little to no character development and totally sucks
This book was enjoyable to read. It had plenty of romance, excitement and intrigue to keep me interested. Wondering if a family relationship existed between Jetta and Anton then finding out that there was. It was kind of heartbreaking. Then it gets better.
