" Sweet, Charming, and Suspenseful! "
You will find any R.E Butler book is very worth reading!. Her books are so amazing they will have you glued to the pages! The storyline for this book is heart warming yet suspenseful to. The characters are so unique and amazing!.
Adam is a wolf shifter only he is an Omega due to being burned as a child before he could shift. Sense he is low ranked and has terrible scars he wonders if he will ever find a true mate.
Dancer aka Dani is a reindeer shifter who was raised by a Bear shifters Dani's family and herd had been killed by coyotes. Her adopted Mother had been trying to find other reindeer herds so Dani could get to know others of her kind. They finally find some so Dani's adopted brother Row was taking her to meet them. On the way they stop in at Wilde Creek here Dani finds her true mate Adam. She does not mind his scars or rank!. Everything is going great till Dani is kidnapped!.

This was sweet but there's no angst at all. They find each other and love each other and are sweet to each other. There's no tension or misunderstandings. Even the obligatory "danger" sequence is handled relatively quickly.
But it is a sweet story with some hot scenes between a couple of very likable characters. Just don't expect a lot of intensity.

3.5 stars. Lovely sweet read.
So glad Adam wants nothing to do with his grandparents. They do not deserve being in his future with Dani. They never defended him after the fire bombing from his abusive father or stepped in to help. They just kept enabling his gambling addiction.
Glad that the whole gang of nasties were dealt with and it is nice that Dani will have future contact with her own kind.
Those reindeer came across as very strong and capable.
Acksel the alpha didn’t annoy me in this one.

October 9, 2023Liked the MCs - their personalities and relationship were adorable. Didn't really care for the world though: while friendly, the wolf pack is quite rigid in terms of hierarchical roles and some major inequalities get brought up as wrong but then simply swept away with ~ "Our kids will change that when they grow up" or "It's what makes us different than humans." I really don't understand why the MCs choose to stay with the wolves compared to returning to the FMC's open and welcoming sleuth, especially since she's nervous about being a prey shifter and him being a bottom rung wolf.

I am disappointed. I was looking forward to Adam's story and this boring recycling mess is what I found. Over half the story is just a rehash of accepting an outsider into the pack, Adam's back story, and a ridiculous amount of sickly sweet love. Then yet another kidnapping. Seriously!? Dull and Disappointing.

Good read
How can you not love a book with Dancer a reindeer! It was nice to see them both find their person! Wouldn't it be grand if life was like this for everyone. To be able to find the person "made" for you. I enjoyed the story and was happy she found more reindeer shifters after all.

Adam was convinced he would never find his truemate. Being a low ranking male and to top it all off his body was full of scars and wasn't able to hunt on the full moon because of the damage to the muscles of his leg, what female would want him?
When Dani smells her mate, she is not shy about going after him, doesn't matter to her that she is prey and he is a predator. The tables are turned, the reindeer is hunting the wolf and she will devour him!

This is a well written story with great characters. I enjoyed seeing characters from previous books. This one is a great shifter story. I would encourage everyone to go get this one it is worth your time. For me this was an easy read it was another one I couldn't put down. Go get this one and enjoy!

This story heats up right from the beginning , it grabs your attention and you will be completely enthralled until the very last word. This is the six book in R.E. Butler Wilde Creek Series and a new favorite! Her books are so enjoyable to me and they let my imagination fly away to another world! I adore it! There is absolutely nothing I enjoy more than a magnificent book by R.E Butler to curl up in my favorite chair and read. I have never read a bad book by R.E. Butler. She is a writer that has the unique ability to be a gifted storyteller and her imagination and exceptional skills are obvious because she's very popular and continues to shine brightly with each story she writes. This story is sweet, fast-paced, thrilling, imaginative, exciting, passionate, scorching hot and romantic. The dialogue is witty, smart, sexy, well executed and it flows beautifully. Yes, the story is exceptionally well crafted, well written and well edited but it's the characters that will grab your attention and capture your heart. I highly recommend reading all of R.E. Butler books. It's one decision I'm sure you'll never regret. Her books are exciting, fast-paced, sexy and very entertaining. They are paranormal stories that's captivating with all kinds of danger, suspense, action, sweet romance and scorching hot sensual sex! WOW!

Fast paced tory with lots of connection between her characters and the adrenaline surged through my blood.
I found at times tiring the fact that some things were repeating over and over again but over all the story was a great one.
I wanted to see more of the deer herd and i wanted to see more of the pack and i wanted more but wanting and needing more is a constant with this series and R.e 's books....they are never enough!!!

With sizzling chemistry, sweet romance and strong, vibrant characters, this well written, fast paced ands smooth flowing plot holds readers captive from the very beginning but add in the adrenaline pumping excitement that results when Adams dad causes Dani to be kidnapped and some more wonderful shifters are introduced to the story and there is no way that I could put this story down once I began reading it.
My visit with Wilde Creek was another exhilarating experience that has me jonesing for more, so I can’t wait for my next visit so I can find out whether Mia gets her man or not.

Her adopted mother has been searching for years to find other reindeer shifters, but they are hard to find and stick to themselves. Her mother finally tracks down a herd and Dani and her brother, Row go looking for them. The two stop in Wilde Creek and both find their mates. Dani's mate is wolf shifter named Adam Cruz. Her brother and his mate return to the bear sleuth and Dani stays in Wilde Creek with Adam. There are some high and low points in Dani getting situated into pack life, making new friends, meeting the relatives, and finding her spot within the pack.

This is a terrific follow-up to A Scarred Heart. I loved being able to see the counterpart of what happened with Dani and Adam. Adam carries around scars that are both internal and out where everyone can see them. His crappy childhood has only made him a better man. Dani takes one look at Adam and sees the real man; not the scars but the man. Her complete acceptance of all of him makes him strive even more to be all that she needs. There are plenty of bad guys and new friends are introduced. The storyline kept me turning pages and I left the book with a smile.

This is a fun and entertaining story about two people that are lucky enough to find each other while she was passing through on her way some place else. He's not the strongest or fastest wolf and she is a prey not a predator but they know that each other is perfect. Perfection is also in the eye of the beholder. Before their ending can be happy, there are circumstances that are going to try to tear them apart. Enjoy I did.

This is a fantastic story about a man who longs for his mate but is unsure of himself because of his scars. Lucky for him he found his mate who tries to help heal the inside scars of his body with her love.

Wilde Creek is one of my favorite places to read about, so many good things happen there. Also alot of exciting things happen to. Lots of Wolves willing to kick some backsides to keep their mates safe. Amazing story, I can't wait to see what happens next.

Super continuation of the Wilde Creek series and I hope there will be more in this series. Well written and brilliantly paced I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. If you love reading shapeshifter paranormal romance then you will love it.

A heartfelt story.
I loved reading about Adam and Dani. They both overcome the obstacles in their live. It was nice to see they have their happy ever after. I would recommend this book.
