I love her! Ms. Tassone, AKA, the Purgatory Lady, has written a number of books which collect together: prayers, devotions, suggestions, the writings of the saints and other encouragements to keep you motivated and focused on remembering the importance of praying for our deceased loved ones. Praying for them—to get out of Purgatory—is our guarantee to escape a similar fate. I love every book of hers I have read, this one included. Now that I have finished it, it’s time to move on to another one, mostly just to keep me doing what she is after: remembering the dead and offering prayers and sacrifices for them every day.

I really enjoyed this book. Susan gave some great background information about purgatory and gave lots of information about praying for the holy souls. I liked all the saints stories and this has really inspired me to pray daily for the holy souls in purgatory. I am definitely going to be reading by this author.

I read this book for my church book club. All really liked it with one exception who felt doomed to purgatory no matter what. I found it incredibly insightful. Clearly defining what we know thru scripture and saintly visions what purgatory is. The big message to me was how much power prayer has in getting the poor souls into heaven, that they rely on us for their release, and once they are in heaven they will intercede for us when our time comes. All my questions about purgatory were answered in this book. It has moved me to pray daily for those souls and to take advantage of other practices such as bearing sufferings which are never wasted and can be used for much good. Very powerful book.

This is an excellent book that explains things about purgatory and contains how some saints thought about purgatory. Most importantly, there are prayers and things we can do to help the souls in purgatory as well as help our souls. It is a must read to gather more information and understanding about what happens to the faithful when we die.

I read this book for my book club. It taught me a lot more about purgatory and how important it is to pray for the souls in purgatory, however, I thought it was very repetitive. I was hoping for a more inspirational book.

This book is beautifully written with fascinating stories as well. If you’re Catholic (or not) and want to understand purgatory better and real stories also, how to pray for the deceased souls, then this book is for you. Again, a good start before you go more in-depth study further.

This book helped me to appreciate the teaching on purgatory. The author includes prayers and monthly devotions. Very readable. A book to meditate with.
