I'm still very positive about this method. However, I feel the chapters on 'keigo' in this particular volume were very shallow; even in their tiny font for chapter 49, you didn't get more than a very general introduction to this very difficult part of the Japanese language. I'd almost say they should have published a separate, smaller volume just for keigo, although that may be a bit of a stretch. Other than that, I feel the volumes are very clear and handy in use, especially with all the reference lists in the back.
