Bob is a not-too-successful psychiatrist with a wealthy, beautiful, playgirl wife who subsidizes his faltering practice. He has major problems with women. His wife runs off with a pro football player, intending to divorce him and leave him almost broke. One of his few patients has an uncanny alternate personality -- if real, it would be one for the psychiatric journals -- but she could be faking it. His new girlfriend seems wealthy but needs money.
