Second Chances #2

Fixing Tanner

Rate this book
With two successful novels under his belt, and the kind of single life that any guy would kill for, Tanner Young thinks there is nothing that can stop him. That is, until he meets Leah Foster: the first and only woman he can actually see himself with… and the one woman who isn’t interested in a commitment. In the midst of a ferocious bout of writers block he finds himself clinging to Leah in hopes that she can turn his book, and his life, around.

At once heartbreaking and hopeful, FIXING TANNER captures what it feels like to spend your life running away from a past that is destroying your future.

Very Engaging.

I liked this story very much, and there is so much potential for great writing here. Del writes well and made Tanner very likeable. Tanner thinks he needs to be "fixed" when in fact there is only one thing he needs, to be "loved". It's a loving and romantic story, and very engaging. The characters, especially Tanner and Leah have great chemistry. I hope there is more to come from this author, and maybe more from these characters.

This was another great book. We all have secrets that we keep because we think it makes us unlovable or too damaged.
This book perfectly explores how that damages more than it helps.
Following Tanner while still keeping the characters we loved in Finding Lily was a great way to have this novella.
I would recommend this book to anyone that believes in true love but knows that true love doesn't mean easy love.
I can't wait to see what happens with Leah. (I hope we do find out)

Just like Finding Lily, I loved this book! I was worried that it would be so focused on Tanner that I wouldn't like it, so I hesitated in grabbing it for a while. However, I was really pleased to see such a nice mixture of the new characters as well as those from the first book. Definitely can't wait to read more!

The story of Tanner's journey from closed and cynical to a man who can love is a difficult one. It's also messy. Digging into ones past is frustrating and without help and caring can be lonely. Rachel Del is an author that deserves to be read. I received this book free for an honest review and I do so gladly. I have read several of her books and she treats each subject with respect.

A great follow up to Rachel Del's first book Finding Lily. I appreciate the integration of new characters to the storyline and the strong personalities growth.
