A relatively slim cook book as far as actual recipes go. I did find a few that I will photocopy and try later. One even made me fill a little sick to contemplate-- "Kitty Crunchies" to serve on April Fool's Day. The look of cat litter and cat poop fashioned out of sweets. Yum. Yum.

With all the additives in today's commercially produced candies, it is nice to find recipes for candies that can be made in the home kitchen. There are recipes suitable for most of the holidays of the year. The recipes are easy to read and follow, even suitable for the young cook with supervision.

This is a rather fun and colorful collection of recipes for candy and confections from around the globe that are great all year round...catering to many known, and some lesser known (or quite unknown, really) holidays.

The author is up front about what is super sticky and how to go about it with things he discovered through trial and error, and so on. I appreciate the honesty! Some of us can't make picture perfect items. :)
