If you own a TV or read the papers, you’ll know who I am—Liam Croft, the world’s best and highest-paid footballer. Fans and sports journalists worship me, the ladies love me, and my bedroom practically has a revolving door attached to it.
But now I’ve met one beautiful lady in particular—a sports journalist named Allison Flores—and she’s not like the rest. Not even remotely. Firstly, she can’t stand me; something that’s never happened to me with a woman before. Secondly, she’s smart, ambitious and witty; a far cry from the girls I usually encounter. I never thought I’d want to settle down, but when I look at her, all I see is my future.
I might be a player, but Allison might just be the one woman who’ll get me to give up the game…
ALLISON
He thinks I'm playing hard to get...but that's not true. He's just hard to want.
I don’t date players…especially not arrogant, cocky, party-addicted football players like Liam Croft.
I’ve never met the guy, but I already can’t stand him from everything I’ve seen in the news and gossip columns…and I’m not usually one to rush to judgment. He’s just that much of a playboy prick. So when I’m sent all the way to London to try and nab an exclusive one-on-one interview with him, I’m forced to suck up and play nice with the man who represents everything I despise for the sake of my career.
When he awards the exclusive piece to me over every other journalist, I suspect that he doesn't just want to give me a lengthy, in-depth interview…he wants to give me something else lengthy and in-depth, just like he's done with every other woman who's ever gone within five feet of him. I know I have to resist; can’t let myself be tempted by the allure of his fame and chiseled good looks, but being close to him makes my head spin, and I need more…
I guess it’s true what they say—bad boys aren’t any good, but good guys aren’t any fun…
**Bad Boy Brit is a steamy standalone romance. NO cheating, and a guaranteed happy ending! This book also includes a bonus novel.**
Caitlin Daire writes about sexy men and the smart, curvy women who love them. She has found her own happily-ever-after ending with her husband and two kids.
I liked this one better then the last but for me I don't get the whole football-soccer thing. It was a very interesting book and I loved his brother. She was fun and spunky but it was just a little boring I guess. They had chemistry and he was trying to clean up his act. It was good just not great for me. I read so many reviews about this book before I read it and unfortunately I got the wrong impression about this book. It sounded way more exciting. Or maybe I have to high an expectation? That might be the case. I will not be reading any more from this series. Guess these sport novels are not for me.
" Bad Boy Brit" , yes please I would like one, well only if he is like Liam Croft.
Liam Croft is currently the number one pro- footballer ( soccer) , you not only find him on the football pitch , but advertisements and the social media brigade. He is phenomenal on the pitch but renowned for his antics off of it. Liam's reputation is that of a womanizer a drinker and a party boy of the pitch. But is that the real Liam?
Allison Flores, sports reporter for Grainger magazine has just gotten her dream assignment, fly to England a place she has been dying to go ; after all her father and grandfather instilled a love for England and football since she was a child , her grandfather having fallen in love with England when he was in the military. Alison's assignment, get the elusive , exclusive interview with Liam Croft, her boss seems to think she can get it, after all she has a great rack; which she fails to see how that is going to help her since every women you see Liam Crof t with is the classic, tall , willow blonde and always a different one. Surprisingly, when she finds herself in England and singled out along with an old school mate Lauren as one of the possible two to get the exclusive interview m Allison finds herself sure she has lost since Lauren fits everything Liam finds attractive, unlike her brown hair ,petite height and curves. By the surprises just keep on coming when Brian, Liam's manager leaves the final decision up to Liam, and Liam actually chooses her. What Allison does not know is that Liam's branding may be the womanizer who plays hard and fucks harder and always with blonde models, that is just it , branding the real Liam is nothing like what his manager has developed his branding to be, but she is about to find out. Allison gets her interview and them some, she winds up with the Liam croft asking her out, oddly enough their first date turns out to be at the stadium at midnight for an exclusive private tour of the stadium. And Allison gets to,realize some of her personal dreams, having grown up playing soccer at home in the states, being on a real football pitch in a huge stadium and kicking a ball around with a first rate player One who is totally not like his made up image the Intamacy and the constant electric buzz and attraction between these two lead s to some hog times in the announcers booth. Lauren is supposed to return home but she lies to her boss telling him there is more of a story, a possible move to the states for Liam, so she can stay and see more of him. These two find themselves in an up hill battle and mostly against Liam's manager who sees Liam as a cash cow and Allison as the mouses brunette who will ruin it all. Can these two make a relationship work? Will Brian ruin their chances? Allison eventually has to go back to the states, right? Will Allison wind up with a broken heart?. Well, maybe that and more, " Bad Boy Brit " keeps you on your toes and flipping pages to find out and rooting for these two like you were at a game.! Arc graciously provided by Ms Daire for an honest review.
This was disappointing. Liam wasn't that much of a bad boy. He might have slept around, which we didn't see, but that was the extent of it. Don't 95% of sports stars sleep around before meeting "the one" in romances?
The first half was better than the second. The second half was all about figuring out how they could have a relationship and Liam's manager screwing him and them as a couple over. We learn a lot about Laim, but not Allison. There wasn't much depth to the story. It is extremely simple.
The sex scenes were below average in the steaminess department. They were bland and too short. I didn't feel the chemistry between the couple. There was a whole lot of telling and not much showing.
I got so tired of reading where Liam would say "me and so and so..." Me isn't a subject pronoun. However, uneducated people, and an unfortunate amount of educated ones, often speak this way. I don't know if she was trying to be authentic or didn't know better.
There just wasn't much to enjoy about this book. The only good part was their date on the pitch. I won't be reading more by this author. If you want something that is what this was trying to be, try "Dirty English" by Isla Madden Mills. It's yummy. This cover looks like a bad knock off of that book. The story kind of is, but not exactly.
The cover makes you think there's a bad ass as a lead character . No , not exactly . He's an English sport celebrity with a bad rep as a partier and womanizer . Of course he meets a woman that gives him something to think about . I really enjoyed this book . The characters were likeable and intelligent. There was a good story line with romance and yes , sex , and a great ending. What else could you ask for ?
Liam and Allison were likeable characters and and I enjoyed the book for the most part. It need a bit pruning as it was long winded but that was just for me. I just am over the last end the book wit the pregnant main character and the hero had no clue. So this is my opinion and I know most like this.
It was a nice story I like the premise of this book but for me it was a bit lacking , to much unnecessary monologues and descriptions that did not add to the story and even though the main characters were nice and likeable they just did not stick with you, at some point I almost give up entirely because I just did not care what happened to them anymore , and kind of skipp most of the third part because well I did not care, I think it could have had much more about they grow which was there but in a very rush way so you just don't get to really care about the characters, instead of so much random descriptions that were boring and just dragging the story too many pages too long,
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
In this book we meet Liam Croft and Allison Granger. Allison has been enamored with anything British since she was little. Both her grandfather and father told her stories that made her want to go. So when her boss gives her the chance to go to England and interview football's most notorious bad boy Liam Croft. Allison thinks he is an amazing player but his reputation turns her off every time. Plus with Liam's preference for tall, skinny, leggy, blonds Allison thinks she will be able to get in and out easy enough. The problem she runs into is there is just something about that bad boy that makes her heart beat just a little quicker.
Liam knows he is at the top of his game but when his brother Dean makes him take a deeper look at his life he feels a restlessness he has never felt before. So when his manager Brian tells him to pick the woman for the exclusive interview he finds himself leaning away from the typical woman he is with. The instant he meets Allison he knows there is something different about her, she doesn't take any of his crap but knows the game better than almost anyone. He finds that she seems to see the real him not the manufactured Liam Croft that is out there for all the media. However the more he gets to know her and spend time with her the more danger he is putting her in.
This is an amazing book about finding the real you and getting the love you never knew you could have in the process. This book will grab you from word one and not let go to the very end. I thought this book was an amazing idea of how man people in the public eye have to balance the ideal of personal and private life and how to keep them both where you want them. There is a part in the book where Liam takes Allison to the place he grew up. There is a pitch there and the kids know him under a different name because he wants to work with them instead of it being all about the celebrity. She asks him why he doesn't show this to the rest of the world his response is that he would just be one of any number of athletes trying to show they are good people it wouldn't make him special. Makes you wonder what we truly value out of our sports personalities and celebrities. This book will make you take a deeper look at that as well. This is a must read book. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
I have received this book in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of this book or the content of my review.
Liam - in a few words is a bad boy, sure of himself, cocky, arrogant and......romantic (but don't tell him that just yet) In England soccer is known at football.....so when I say Football I will be referring to the English football, not the American football (in this review only)
Allison - sport journalist who was brought up by her dad watching football and knowing the game, enjoying the game. Not the stick thin, blonde from a box, fake sports person that everyone is used to seeing this mega-star Liam with. She is herself, and she is not wanting to get hooked in by this arrogant football player. Even though he is hot plus.
When Allison is introduced to Liam it is with competition of another sports journalist. This plan to let Liam "choose" who will write a sports story about him was thought up by his manager Brian (who is one sleezeball in every sense) however this time Liam is putting Brian in his place and Brian will fight back.
Liam is introduced and can't help but sense and feel the attraction to Allison. Although her rival (Lauren) is the typical blonde this model type that Liam is known to go for. He doesn't seem to notice Lauren as much as Allison. He is saved by his brother's unseemly timing and Liam asks the girls to go out with himself and Dean, for drinks and dancing - and to see who he gives the exclusive to. Things go well, and ends up Allison has a little too much to drink and the girls crash at Liam and Dean's place. This begins something both Liam and Allison knew was there but didn't want to know was there.
There is not a lot more I can give away here in the review without giving it up for the whole book. Does Lauren or Allison get the exclusive? Does Dean get anyone? Are there a few surprising twists that happen out of the blue and draw you in even more? Is there a HEA for everyone or someone? This is a book you will definitely need to get and read to find these answers out. I will say this is a book that keeps you tuned in from the beginning to end, it is a light hearted book, with some emotional twists but nothing too much. Just a tweak here and there, which helps draw you in more.
Allison is an American sports journalist sent to London to get an exclusive interview with Liam Croft. Liam Croft is an arrogant playboy that is used to getting his own way and anything he wants. Liam is used to being told what to do for his career but he never stops to think what others think of the persona he plays until he meets Allison. Allison isn't sure what to make of Liam there's the public side of him that is wild and crazy and then he shows her a side the is deeply motivated, down to earth so which side is the real Liam Croft.
Liam's manager Brian is all about the money and makes sure Liam knows this. Also being single is a big part of what Brian expects of him too so getting involved with Allison was a big no no but Liam ignores Brian this one time to take what he wants. Allison is surprised when Liam wants to spend more time with her especially since she's nothing like his usually ladies. When his manager makes threats concerning Allison Liam tries to do whatever he can to protect her however even he misjudges Brian. Struggling to be with Liam when he has these two faces Allison feels like she is emotionally drained one minute Liam is all over her and then next he is pushing her away. When Brian does the unthinkable Allison leaves London to go back home. Will Liam be able to convince her that she is the only one he loves? Or will one misunderstanding ruin everything.
I loved this book. Caitlin Daire has become one of my favorite authors. I don't even hesitate when it comes to getting one of her books. I was up really late reading this I couldn't put it down until I knew how it was going to end. Hot sex in public places, great characters and an amzing story you couldn't ask for anything better in a book.
Ok so this has taken me a long time to read due to work and other problems.
This story was brillaint. A bad boy footplayer liam croft. Every one wants him and every one envys him. Party all night, unlimited amount of women, no comminet except football. Sounds like the perfect life. what could go wrong. Liam croft the football star is one man the media knows. But the really liam croft under the mask and away from the media is a different story. I really loved liam's character and the person he become from child to adult. it shows a lot espically as football was his release and the one thing that kept him going.
Alisions is a sports journalist who as you guessed writes about sports and does interviews with people who part take in sports. Being american and loving english football is hard espically when no one else understands your love and passion for the game. Wishing she could visit england. Her dream soon comes true but not how she wanted it. interview one liam croft in england. Sounds fun except Alision hates him and what he stands for.
I loved their story, i through it was brillaint. A nice change of pace espically with sport. Not to much drama and not to little, just enought. The most appealing thing about the story is the way jourlist and new reports plus managers can destory ones life or make it increiable. Its amazing when you have to fight against yourself.
Liam is feeling the split in the love of his life, football (soccer). He wants to play and be his best on the field but his manager wants him to continue to be the alcoholic bingeing, womanizer he created to the press and public. He enjoyed the chase but not the lowlife he feels. He wants to help people who grew up like him, but his manager has convinced him that making money now is more important. Liam is convinced by his manger until he meets Allison, the reporter who is not supposed to get the exclusive interview. Allison is thrilled at the chance for an exclusive interview with football star Liam, until she realizes what an arrogant jerk he is.
Liam and Allison are a wonderful couple, if given half a chance between the game, the women throwing themselves at him, his manager, and her job. Allison is torn whether to give Liam a chance or not, until they start talking and Liam opens up to her about who he really is and what he wants to accomplish. Both do some rather foolish things and do not communicate well until something bad has happened. Allison must decide how much she is willing to put up with. Liam must decide where he wants his life to go and who will be making those decisions. A wonderful story.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Liam seems like a real jerk who uses his fame to get sex and getting drunk all the time. He can play football though and people seem to love his antics. Allison is an American that loves British football and is thrilled to go to London to try to interview Liam. She thinks he is a great player on the field but is not so thrilled with his off the field antics.
When they meet, Liam is at an interesting point in his life. He is not that interested in the clubbing and women. His brother is trying to convince him to find a real woman to be with and Allison really captures his attention. He really lets her in to his life and they become very close. Unfortunately, not everyone is thrilled with the relationship and they work to end it.
I liked Liam much more than I thought I would. He really has much more to him than what is on the surface. I could definitely see how Allison would be attracted and willing to take risks to be with him. Allison is a strong woman who stands up for herself. She works hard and takes her job seriously. It is definitely out of her comfort zone to date a man like Liam. The author threw in a major surprise at the end. I enjoy surprises.
This story centers around Liam whose persona is a bad boy, drinker and all round man whore. His agent convinces him that this is the way to go, it will make him big in his career as a footballer and as a free agent will make him more likeable. But behind that persona is the real Liam Croft, the one who with his brother Dean ran away from home at a young age because of abuse, he is scared and vulnerable. He becomes more likeable as the book goes on and he takes a liking to Allison who is there from America to try and win an exclusive with the great Liam Croft. She believes the things she sees in the press about Liam and although she is excited about getting to go to London for this assignment because she truly loves the game, the thought of having to deal with someone like him is bad. But she gives it her all and they end up connecting. Things get out of hand with one and another, from models trying to seduce him to a manipulative manager, this book had it all. It was an interesting read and nice to see that even bad boys can be tamed! I was gifted this arc in exchange for an honest review.
Received this complimentary arc copy from the author for an honest review Firstly, being a "Brit" myself, I loved this story. Liam Croft is one hot sexy footballer. He can do no wrong, drink what he likes, have any woman and basically he is like a god. After a while though, that can become boring . He needs something more challenging. Along comes Allison Flores, American Sports Journalist, needing to get an interview with him for her paper back home. She is feisty, curvy sexy woman but doesn't think so herself. Very interested in football which is down to her dad and grandfather. When they meet there is an instant attraction plus Allison doesn't fawn all over Liam like other women do. Their relationship develops slowly and lots of passion too in the mix. There is more to Liam than people think and was glad he opened up to Allison. Lots of ups and downs but true love never does run smooth so they say. Brian, Liam 's manager was a greedy grasping man who would be found out eventually. A brilliant story which I loved and the ending was more than good. Maybe a story about Dean , Liam's brother in the future.

Who doesn't like to read about 'bad boys' and supposed players?? This is one read that I could not resist! The writing drew me in to the characters and I couldn't wait to read what would happen next!
Liam Croft is a world-renowned footballer, soccer player, who is not only known for his skills on the pitch (field), but also for his exploits off.... Though not everything is as it seems. Allison Flores is a sports journalist looking for her big break. She's always had a love for the English sport, but not so much for the player that seems to always be in the headlines. When these two meet for an interview sparks will definitely fly! As a budding romance ensues can Liam keep his playboy past in the past? Or will Liam slip back into his playboy ways and ruin any chance of happiness he has?
This is definitely worth a read! It had plenty of chemistry and enjoyable commentary! My only issue with this book was the level of distrust Allison had for Liam, if she could have had a little bit more faith in him this would be a 5-star read.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review
Ms. Daire never disappoints! this story had me hooked from the first sentence! I love Allison and her no nonsense attitude; I also enjoyed her love of sports! Liam is such a bad boy, how can you not love him?!? this story takes place in England...Allison is sent to England to vie for an exclusive interview with Liam Croft, number one footballer in the league. she is a fan of his on the field but not so much off the field, his antics are always on the first page of every newspaper. she soon realizes that Liam is so much more than the "persona" his manager has cooked up - he has a heart of gold the love story between the two definitely has angst ~ there is also betrayal! this is a definite keeper for me! highly recommend to one and all!!!
Ms. Daire is pure magic. I love reading her works. Liam is England's bad boy football player and Allison is a reporter from America. She is sent to London to get an exclusive interview with Liam for the magazine she works for. When he meets her for the first it's like church bells go off in his head but she can't stand him. Typical Daire story. I really liked Liam's character, the real Liam is down to earth and may be a bit cock but that's what's charming about him. Allison is a little uptight until she learns to let loose. I love the witty banter between the two main characters. It does get steamy but not as steamy as some of her other books. Was a bit disappointed in that. What Liam does with his prize possession is so sweet and thoughtful I got choked up. Yes I'm emotional it's not a crime lol. The ending was perfect!
Just LOVED Bad Boy Brit!! I mean it's Caitlin Daire, I can't do anything but love a book by her! Liam was taken by Allison at first look and knew he had to have her. For Allison however, doing anything other than getting an exclusive story with Liam was far from her mind. But, then Allison got to know the man behind the player facade and her feelings for him changed. These two have a whirlwind romance that not everyone supports and some are willing to do whatever to make sure these two don't get a hea! Daire did it again with this one!! She knows how to write a story that will have you hooked until the very last page! Oh and that announcer box scene: WOWZERS! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
Allison is a sports reporter with a love for English football (soccer). She is sent to England to try to win an exclusive interview with Liam Croft, football's most notorious bad boy.
Liam meets Allison around the same time his brother has given him a lecture on finding a deeper meaning in his life. He recognizes Allison is special.
Allison sees some of the real Liam (not just the bad boy) and wants to learn more about him, so she lies to her boss so she can stay longer.
The two get to know and understand each other better, while there is someone in the background doing everything they can to break them apart.
This is a great book!
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
What is love without trust??? Although there's alot going on in this story, this question is the real-life bottom line. Liam wanted a change in his lifestyle, Allison is the exact opposite of the type woman he "prefers." Liam is surrounded by people who encourage his wild lifestyle, Allison thinks he's a joke & will never change. These two characters are great together! Granger is hilarious, Mikey is even more hilarious, Brian is crazy. The real Liam, is a compassionate, loving guy, who's gotten caught up in playing the "game" & ran head-on into Allison whos knows the game well & still gets caught up. Charisma vs Naviete. Loved it & couldn't put it down!!!
Allison loves all sports. She is such a sports fanatic, she became a sports journalist. Being sent to England to get an exclusive interview with the #1 Play Boy Footballer, Liam Croft.
Liam parties as hard as he plays and has a different girl every night. He has never given an exclusive interview and has to choose between 2 very qualified reporters. His manager wants the BBC reporter and Liam is undecided.
Follow how the characters are intertwined with each other and how Liam's alter side comes out. This is a very well written book and recommend it to all who love a good romance story.
I loved this book! Liam is known as the playboy star of English football, Allison is a journalist given a chance at an exclusive interview. From everything she read about him she doesn't have a good opinion of him, but Liam wants to change that as soon as he sees her. Their story is hot, sweet, complicated and funny. When you add a manager that will do anything to keep Liam as the playboy and a cabbie named Mikey who is there when Allison needs help or a laugh this story is awesome! I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Opposites attract, two totally different people from two different countries come together for this hot steamy romance where proper football-aka soccer- bring a curvy brunette reporter to meet and feel for a English player in more ways then on the field with is trademark hordes of skinny blonde haired chicks. There is also blackmail, heartache when Liam's past comes out during due to a attention hungry jackals of a manager. Emotions will be tested, truths will be revealed and love will hopefully concur all.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author pulls you into the story so you feel like the characters are actually friends of yours. I loved Liam, even as a cocky playboy. But you know when you are that popular, the media tends to spin things that are not always true. I think he got a bad rap, but was glad that Allison could see through it. I absolutely loved Mickey in this story. How great would it be to end up with a cab driver as wonderful as he was to Allison, and in the end to Liam as well. Don't miss out on this story. ARC provided for honest review

What happens when an arrogant sexy English football player meets an American journalist that wants only to save her career but in order to do that she need to get an in depth interview. But when the Liam has other ideas after first meeting Allison does she stand a chance. Will she get that interview to save her and Liam's careers. Only time and patience will tell. Will love blossom or will it be all a bust.
It was interesting. An American sports journalist falling in love with the hot soccer star. Very interesting. I lived that she wasn't the typical expected tall skinny willowy fake sorry back that up. I loved that she wasn't the stereo typical type. The one he always was used to. To have fun times with. He had more depth. He wasn't just a dumb jock. He had to let go of the mask he always wore to actually get her attention. Overall a good story.
