What do you see when the demons come?

For Special Agent Jana Baker, fear has a face.

Terrorist Waseem Jarrah steals a nuclear weapon, and Jana's swirling nightmare begins again. He's got the United States in his crosshairs, and Baker might be the only asset that can stop him. But Jarrah is way ahead in the game, and Jana's terrifying flashbacks begin to scratch at her psyche. If she doesn't gain control of them, the next scream she hears may be her own.

If you like the heart-pounding action of Brad Thor, the steel-riveting pace of Tom Clancy, and the jaw dropping suspense of Dean Koontz, then you'll love a series that combines all of their best traits in a fast-paced, captivating, and emotion-filled thriller into the world of international terrorism.

Protocol 15 can be read stand-alone, but is the second book in the Special Agent Jana Baker spy-thriller series.

Interesting to have a book on Special Agent Jana Baker but only have her show up for 30% of the book and when she does it focus's how she handles PTSD vs real detective work.

To me, This book felt very rushed and not as thorough as the previous story

It seemed as though there was some banter between characters that was out of place given the tenseness of the situations. I understand that it is friends working together, but these are life and death issues they are dealing with...

I also thought there was a little too much use of rehashing of the previous story. And I found the use of cliches a bit overdone.

I was hoping for more from this second book. I wait eagerly for a third book.

“Yes, I’m a girl – try to keep up!”

Jana Baker is a very strong female lead character. She is very bright, and when it comes to physical challenges, her physical and mental state take her above the performance of most of those around her. Hence the title for the review.
Following the events of the 14th Protocol (an outstanding read), we find her physically depleted (but determined to never quit) and suffering from blackouts and seizures from PTSD that plague her to the end of this novel.
The story is fast-paced, with lots of action and lots of suspense. It certainly made me want to have access to the next book in the series.
I had a minor gripe at how people from several different security organizations (FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. etc.) are so easily tossed into a “team”, and how they have almost immediate access to key information (satellites, crime scenes, computer searches), and are able to finesse the key ideas from the data at a single (or second) glimpse.

Each book is better than the last. This one picks up where the Fourteenth Protocol ends, but can be read as a standalone, but it's better reading them in order so you can get to know the 3 friends as they grow into their new roles in life. Intrigue, twists and turns, you never know where it's going to take you on their journey in counter terrorism to keep the world a safer for everyone. This one is unputdownable. Follow Jana, Cade & Kyle from the very beginning of their careers in law enforcement, if you start at Protocol One. I bought the box set of books 2-4.

Protocol 15 Nathan Goodman

Protocol 15 . The presidents ability to enact and carry out a nuclear attack against any enemy of America. No approval is needed. The power is fully on the shoulders of the sitting president. A nuclear weapon is stolen. A CIA black covert operation. Russia invades North Korea. A nuclear devise is triggered in America. This is non stop action with a believable scenario. An incredible read! I highly recommend!

Another tense thriller

Good follow up to protocol 14, although not quite as action packed - on the part of our heroes, at least. Glad the Aussies got a look in, even if the ocker language was way over the top (mate)!

Not a bad read

The plot is sort of predictable and the characters and their situation is not all that believable. However, the books moves along pretty well. The ending of this volume was a surprise. Good value for the price.

Thrilling series.

These events could be happening in our current time. Goodman does an excellent job with plot and characterization. Can't stop until I find out what happens next.

Oh, wow! Unbelievably tense with just enough humor to allow for breathing now and then. The plot is tight and complex; the characters are heroic but real. Fantastic thriller!

This book is incredible! I fell in love with the 3 main characters in his first book. I really didn't think the author could match book one but he has totally outdone himself. The story should be made into a film, it would be a box office sell out! Jana is such a strong character that I would expect every woman who reads the book will want to be her... even though she's suffering with ptsd she still puts her needs after her job and everyone else's. I also adore Cade and Kyle, they both are so sweet and also brilliant at their jobs. Nathan Goodman's writing is exciting, touching with bits of romance thrown in. The story had me on the edge of my seat from begining through to the end, I could not put it down! I would recommend the book to anyone who enjoys suspense, thrillers, police stories or even romance. I think it would suit men, women even girls or boys. Pick up a copy today, I guarantee you will fly through the pages.
The fact that the book is about terrorism it makes you forget that it's not actually happening right now, because it feels so real....

This is the second book I have read from this author and they are both exciting with awesome characters and believable plots, things happen that I could very well see happen today! I cried and laughed several time with the friends I met in this story,I read the first book then started immediately on this one. The story sweeps you along, you don't realize the time or even that you are turning pages. This thriller really took me along as if I was in the story,I could not put it down! I encourage anyone who likes adventure, mystery and any CIA/FBI story to grab this one and start reading! I have to wait for the author to write his next...

A good read but ...

... even though it's well written and fast moving, it feels like something's missing. The author is close, but not quite in that group of top writers in the espionage genre. The plot is too simplistic and has too many coincidences and too many "love" stories that are more or less distractions. The (first) two books in this series essentially have the fate of the entire country coming down to what are basically two rookie FBI agents and a systems admin and a couple of presidents with very poor decision making skills.

Explosive!

This book is a thriller, just as the previous book (Protocol 14 ) was. Well written, great character development, and relevance to today's environment. It is the continuation of the thrilling hunt for stollen atomic warheads controlled by a terrorist group seeking revenge for a previously foiled plot. Treachery extends into the highest levels of the US government. You will not be able to put the book down.

Nathan created another excellent novel. This is a perfect follow up to his previous novel.

The novel had a disturbing ending. Not in a bad way. It's just sad to think it could really happen in America.

One must read to find out.

Nathan has a fresh style that the NY #1 bestsellers are missing.

I give this book 5 stars!

A scenario so far fetched that it could never happen, but today's leaders have acquired a holier than thou persona, that the implausible could actually be plausible. Captivating and holding my attention throughout. Another win for author Goodman.

Twists and Turns

Great story, developed the characters from previous book ., while showing how the action in the last book still affected characters actions. Having said that could read if hadn't read 14th Protocol.

The story is thinkable, but I question if the younger characters involved have the experience to come up with all the answers they offer! I now need a break from 'doom and gloom.'
