Lydia has been a New Jersey resident her entire life. She now lives with her wife at the Jersey Shore and writing full time after years in the business industry. Years of writing stories for as long as she could remember, she decided to put her first book out in June of 2014.
The author has such a simplistic and direct writing style that is appealing to me. The main characters Katherine Willow and Mary Rogers are both likable. This is a short read but so much happens in the life of the characters and the people around them that at times, I was thinking how did we get from point A to point C, what happened to point B. Then I remind myself that this is story telling and what a cute story it is. Cute does not have to be linear.
I enjoyed this story tremendously. I loved following Mary's journey to finding love and the emotional rollercoaster she went on with the family drama and a crazed individual. I love reading the stories by Lydia Rose.
Lydia Rose writes heartfelt short stories that give you all the feels. I enjoy them so much. They have outstanding chemistry and low angst that comes from outside of the MCs relationship. I will continue to follow Rose's work.
I loved the story although it's a sad reminder of how bad things were before we were allowed to marry our same sex partners. The ending was an extremely happy one with the passing of same sex marriage into law.
I really love the way Lydia Rose writes. This book is so beautifully written plus the characters are so loveable and the plot beautiful. Honestly I am a huge fan of Lydia Rose so now looking forward to write more books as I believe I have read all of hers. A book that I couldn't put down.
I have never read a book by Lydia Rose that I haven't liked. In the book "Never Let Me Go" you will find two women that are in the closet until they find each other. You will read in the book how love changes everything and gives them the courage to tell the world that they are lesbian. As you read you will see how they grow stronger than ever for telling the world about their love for each other. I encourage you to read this book. You will not want to put it down.
Some of the prose is awkward early in the book, but it gets better as it goes. The story progression is excellent! One of the sweetest courtship stories I have ever read, made all the sweeter by their mutual ignorance of the other's growing affection.
The added feature of being set in the nineties and the twist that takes the story on an advocacy path is a large part of the story's charm.
Every book I've read by Lydia Rose just feels better than the last one. All I can say is this last book was an excellent job portraying that period of time 23 years ago. I really liked the way she characterized that period of history. Well done!
I wanted more. That is the highest compliment you can give any novel. When you want to know what happened for the rest of the character's lives then the author has done her job.
I enjoy the story of Katherine willow and Mary Rogers, sweet, charming and loving. I read it twice and love it!!!! Rose style, soft and spicy. I recommend it!!!!
