Oh my God! Addison Jane blows my mind every damn time! Bayward street has just become my new favourite from this author.
This a complete new genre to Addison, it’s the first of it’s kind she has released and not only that it’s a unique story that hits upon some very real issues that are right under our noses. The injustices of the world, of the children that have no one. If only they had a Helen or a Lena.

‘ “Don’t they say blood is thicker than water?” I laughed lightly, “that’s true. But when a thousand tiny streams come together, they form a mighty river.” Daisy smiled over at me, “we are the tiny streams?” I grinned back, “hell no baby, we are the river.”’
‘You are brave and you are strong. You are a survivor and I hope that other people can learn from you in the future and know that it’s okay to stand up and ask for help.’
You literally feel the emotions that have been poured into this book and they pour out of the words into the reader, I had tears in my eyes in many parts, tears of sadness, grief, happiness, elation and even despair. Such a yo-yo of emotions the whole way through.
Fable is a young girl who has known as long as she could remember that no one was going to save her but herself and that’s what she did and yet the system failed her. When she ended up on the streets she made her own family, kids and young adults all with different tragic pasts. And they are a family, as real as any family any of them know. They all share the food and money they have to make sure they can all survive. People may think that Fable and her friends have nothing, yet to them they have what they need (they're surviving aren't they?) They have their own family one they have chosen because they know it's a hell of a lot better than where they came from.
When Fable meets Heath there is an immediate connection however this isn’t an insta-love, this is real. Heath is the Rich-Boy he has a public persona of King but that isn’t him. He is down to earth and doesn’t judge. Eventually there is a slow-paced relationship between the two, they have chemistry but the sweet and intimate kind as if their souls just know each other.
We have the Baddy the jealous princess who believes she is untouchable…well thank god for karma ey?
The book just flowed so perfectly and the other characters!!! I fell in love with so many, Eazy, Layla, Brayden, Helen, Arthur, Lena, Flick even the twins, there were so many that I really do hope get their own HEA because they need it.
Every word from this book slowly imprinted into my mind and I won’t forget it. It’s a story of Love, Trust, Family, Friendship but most of all STRENGTH. It’s a reminder that it’s ok to ask for help

I have to say that this book was a delightful suprise. This is the first book I've read by this Author and I was blown away! This is an Amazing story of struggle and love, A story about living and learning, of growing up. I was hooked from the beginning and could not put it down! HIGHLY recommend this book. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. A MUST read!

Millions of tiny streams. One mighty river.
First off, I'm not a huge YA reader, however as fantastic as this book was, I didn't even notice it was considered YA. Addison Jane kept the storyline so jam packed with angst and drama, there was no need for any other stuff. I couldn't finish this book fast enough to see how it was going to end.
"This was more than love. This was finding the one person in the entire world who saw you for who you are."
Love. Sadly that is a word this lost little girl knows nothing about yet, even at the age of fifteen. Leaving the horrors of her home life behind, she found a new family on the streets. Kids that didn't judge and took each other at face value. These kids begged and stole to make sure there was enough food to go around. Life on the streets isn't easy and one night can change everything.
"He made me feel good, and with a simple touch, he could both light my body on fire and calm a raging storm."
He was her knight in shining armor. He was everything she didn't know she wanted and so much more. He was too good to be true, especially for his age. Walking into something he knew nothing about, this good samaritan did what you would hope anybody would do in this situation. He saved her. Saved her in more ways than one.
These kids are young, however given their respective backgrounds, they both had to grow up fast. They were teens acting like adults, making adult decisions, changing the lives of others around them. Some for the good and some they learn the dark and dirty truth about.
"Life wasn't about just being alive, existing day by day. Life was about living."
I'm reviewing this book extremely vague as to not spoil any of the storyline. Addison Jane gives her readers a beautiful story of survival and love. Along with our main characters, we also have excellent supporting characters to propel the story forward. Characters you want to know more about after finishing the book.

I really didn't want this book to end! I adored it. This is definitely one of my favourites of this author...and all her books are amazing! I loved the story and I loved the characters. I really hope I get to read Layla and Bray's story! There needs to be more!

I have been fortunate enough to read every word released by this amazing author. Each one being impressive and pushing the rating system. This one proved to be no different. Once again I am left placing a 5 star rating when it isn't even close to expressing the quality and merit of this literary beauty. Sometimes a limited value system just isn't enough.
When trying to describe the elements and themes within this one, I would simply say excellent. These are the areas I base my opinion on. --A storyline that entertained. A plot that was logical and held my attention. A relatable realistic feel. Characters that support and bring the words to life. An immediate attachment to each role. My emotions were everywhere. I was definitely wearing my feelings on my sleeve. I lost myself in time. The storytelling pulled me into that alternative reading universe. Nice editing and limited grammatical errors. A smooth format. No jumping all over the place. My likes could continue and continue ……………
I feel confident saying this is one of the best books I have read. I don't usually read YA so it really is saying a lot. The way this story goes so much deeper than just a love story. So many full circle moments. How one life can affect another. How something as simple as crossing paths can change a life forever. Never judge a book by a cover. Every one has struggles. The existence of good hearts /bad hearts. How money doesn't create the qualities of a good person. How money doesn't always equal self righteousness. ………………
The clicking of this one should be fast.
I strongly recommend. I will even say should be in all personal libraries.

Let me start of by saying I don’t normally read YA books, but this book was amazing.
The underlying message in this book of fighting to believe, not to give us, believe in yourself and trust, was phenomenally done with an amazing story line.
Fable had grown up in a house of abuse, running to live on the streets now that no one believed what was taking place, the idea of returning home was never an option and her new street family at Bayward Street was all she needed. That was until she met Heath Carson, sweet, popular, ambitious and very determined to win Fable over and show her there is more to life and the opportunities are there.
This well written YA book I would defiantly need to recommend to many teenagers out there; not due to family violence situation but due to Fables strong determination and courage to keep fighting; that even though she came from a bad place she still deserved the respect and chances from those around her.

Bayward Street has had a little facelift and some minor edits!!.
Now I'm not a huge fan of YA because honestly it's normally way to much bitchyness and angst. However I really enjoyed Bayward street because I feel like it had so much substance.
Fable is a young girl who unfortunately got hit with nothing but shit through her young life. She realized very quickly that she had herself. Broken meets broken on the streets and she found a place where her kind of broken was normal.
Heath, oh holy Heath. He's just not like the other rich kids. That may sound cliche but it's true. Whilst his family has money they also kept him very much grounded. He's protective, sweet and understanding.. even if at times a bit of a hot head.
Their relationship is so fucking sweet!. Rich meets poor, broken meets well put together Heath was the balm to Fables scars. For being so young their maturity and outlook on life astounded me. This was a victory story of a young girl who beat the odds with a helping hand. Their romance is sweet and slow burning with a side of sensual I didn't see coming. It fit though.. it was believable and I was so invested in not only them but also her rising. The characters, the story ... It was perfect and that ending just melted me

Living on the street and leading the life of a street urchin was far better than the existence Fable had living with her blood family. Her past of neglect and abuse made escaping and going hungry, having hit or miss shelter worth it. Fable was a fighter, survivor. She was taken in by what she considers her real family; a band of other misfit runaways that the system let fall through the cracks and society wants tossed with the trash.
What a clean-cut set of rich brothers crosses paths with Fable, her life might start to look a bit better. She finds an almost immediate connection to Heath. He was everything that she needed, even if it meant leaving the world that came to mean everything to her. When Fable and Heath's worlds collide, everyone might get everything they were ever wanting.
This is my confession: When I first saw that Addison Jane was delving into the world of YA I was leery. That's a pretty big step from the usual books that she writes, but I have to give it to her - she really did right by the story.

I've just started to get into YA/NA reads...and I'm really starting to connect to them. I never read them before as I thought all I needed was the sex! How very wrong I was! I hadn't met Heath then!
Fable (Kira)...such a bad start in life due to her parents (who never should've had kids in my opinion) and the privileged, broody but oh so tempting Heath.
All the struggles of a homeless person are in this book, clearly the author has done some extensive research as it has paid off....what a fantastic read it was!
I loved Braydon, he made me chuckle a lot!
If, like me, you have shied away from this genre then I am telling you that you need to read this. 'Im too old to read this, I dont need to read about teenagers' etc etc.....all your preconceptions will fly out the window.

I really liked this author's Club Girl Diaries books and especially her hard-hitting biker romance with action. I really didn't know this was YA when I got it...no sex, minimal adult content (mostly abusive parents and mean girls who act out) but with a really intense storyline and engaging characters who kept me interested to keep reading.
Different change of pace for me and suitable enough for a teenager.

I am normally not a huge YA fan but decide to change up my reading habits lately and get away from my normal type of read and in doing so, have found some really great books. Bayward Street has definitely now fallen into that category and I am so glad I decided to pick this one up. I am new to reading Addison Jane’s work but after reading the synopsis for this one, I was instantly intrigued and had to check it out.
Fable Campbell (a.k.a. Keira) has finally escaped the nightmare that is known as her childhood. She is no longer a victim living an abusive life, she a survivor and is fighting a daily fight to survive on the streets. But she’s not alone, she has found herself living out of a tent with a group of other teens that have run away or been thrown out by their parents and they have become her family. Her life though began to change the moment she met Heath, when he save her and her friends. Heath and his brother Brayden come from money, but they are not your typical rich kids that act spoiled and entitled. They look at Fable and her friends like they are normal people, not the dirt on their shoe. And they don’t look at her with pity and for once in her life, when Fable is with Heath, she feels like she is a normal teenager.
I loved how different this story and the main characters were. I also loved how much I was pulled me into the story right from the prologue and was kept engaged for the entire story. I really enjoyed the dynamic the author built between Fable and Heath and loved that their relationship developed slowly throughout the story. I enjoyed that they didn’t turn into two horny teenagers madly “in love”, which is part of the reason I tend to stay from YA as the Insta-Love YA’s are the ones I always end up picking up.
Fable’s character was such a great strong female lead, especially for a character of her age. She may have only been a teenage but her maturity was well beyond her actual years. Also to have first survived the horrible situation with her parents, the two people who are supposed to care for her and love her unconditionally. Along with the fact she is now surviving on the streets truly made me admire her character. I also loved her sassiness and loved some of the banter with her and the other characters.
Heath was such an amazing character that you couldn’t help falling in love for. Here you have a young kid, rich with well-known and well connected parents who you expect to be a complete spoiled brat, turn out to actually be the complete opposite. He is kind and compassionate. He is guarded as to whom he lets into his circle but once you are in his circle, he is fiercely protective of those that are close to him and I loved that about him. The thing I loved the most about him was from the moment he met fable, he treated her as a real person, never pitying her or looking down on her and I loved that he kind of became her saviour, her white knight in shining armour. I loved that we got the full story from Fable’s POV but I must say there were times I would have loved to have gotten a bit of the story from his POV, I truly wanted to get inside of his head to see more of his thoughts and feelings toward Fable.
Overall this was a fabulous read that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was very well written with a great storyline that moved at a great pace. Never did I feel like things moved too quickly nor were there times that things fell flat and moved at a snail’s pace. My only one complaint is I felt that the ending of the book was a bit too heavy on the drama. I didn’t mind all the drama that was added to the storyline, I just wished it all mostly landed right at the last 20-30% of the story. This book had some really great supporting characters like Braydon and Layla, Kyle and Lee and I must say, I hope this is not the end for them all, would love to see more of them and get to read their stories.

Five stars is not enough for this book. I haven't read a YA book in awhile. And, it was such a great read. I loved how it wasn't your typical romance story. It was written so good that more then half the time I forgot that the book was about teenagers and not a bunch of adults.
Fable does not have any easy life. She's had a pretty terrible life. Her father was both mentally and physically abusive to both her and her mom. Her mother was pretty much useless. Never stood up for herself or for Fable. When the judge ordered she return home with her parents, Fable knew she'd never walk out of that house alive. So, Fable ran.
Now, Fable is living over on Bayward Street. It's lined with tents where she's found her place. Things aren't easy. But, Fable has made friends who have become her family. Every single one of them are there for their own reasons. But, none of that matters to the other. They look after each other.
Fable wasn't prepared for Heath to enter her life. Heath and his brother Brayden entered her life at the perfect timing. When they say people come into your life for a reason. It was true for Fable. Heath and Brayden didn't look down on Fable and her friends. They are not like Fable. Their parents are extremely, extremely rich. But, they don't act it.
Heath and Fable had such a strong connection from the second they met. Heath wanted to protect, save, love and care for Fable. He didn't want anything in return from her except for her to be happy, safe and with him. It wasn't only him. His family, the Carson's Arthur, Helen, Brayden and sister Flick. They are the kindest, sweetest, kind hearted, selfless people. They took Fable into their lives, home and most importantly into their hearts. They were there for her and her friends.
Fable is an extremely strong young woman. She fought for what she believed in. Not only for herself but for everyone she cared about. Heath's parents were amazing as well. His father wasn't in as much as everyone else. But, when he was.. WOW! Helen was an angel. She raised incredible kids. Helen I can go on & on about. But, I won't.
I've read Addison Jane before. But, this is something completely different from her. It was a book full of roller coaster emotions. Every single person in this story was important and all had stories that must be told. Hear that Addison... I need their stories!! I'm relying on you to give them to me. I'm serious when I say buy and start this book today!! It deserves so many more stars then 5.

Fable is an extremely strong young woman. She fought for what she believed in. Not only for herself but for everyone she cared about. Heath's parents were amazing as well. His father wasn't in as much as everyone else. But, when he was.. WOW! Helen was an angel. She raised incredible kids. Helen I can go on & on about. But, I won't.
I've read Addison Jane before. But, this is something completely different from her. It was a book full of roller coaster emotions. Every single person in this story was important and all had stories that must be told. Hear that Addison... I need their stories!! I'm relying on you to give them to me. I'm serious when I say buy and start this book today!! It deserves so many more stars then 5.

Heath and Fable form and instant attraction and the chemistry while only a YA novel is still steaming hot. I love the energy these two exude.

Leaving her friends behind is not something Fable is capable of. In swoops Heath’s mother Helen to pick up the pieces. I love the side characters of this story and every single character has a purpose and has you rooting for them. The twists, the heartbreak, the emotion, the joys, the excitement - all add up to one stellar five star plus read and one you need to sink your teeth into.

Life on the street is hard but anything is better than where she was before. Fable didn't have a storybook life but she is a fighter, a survivor. With a group of friends that have became a family, Fable does her best to navigate through the world she lives in. Protecting one another and making it through one day at a time is their biggest concern.
Her world is turned upside down with the introduction of the Carson brothers. The undeniable connection she feels with Heath Carson is consuming. The more she gets to know him, the more she sees how humble, kind, and protective he is. When she's thrust into his world of money and privilege she learns that dangers can lurk anywhere.
I really wasn't sure what to expect going into this book but let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely loved this story. I loved the writing, the characters, the storyline, all of it. It was a highly emotional read filled with heartache, joy, pain, frustration, excitement, anger, and love. Jane had me going through a full gamut of emotions; I found myself laughing, weeping, balling my fists in anger, and swooning. This was a story of struggle, of self discovery, of wanting more. Fable's journey was wrought with obstacles, many of which were painful, but it was beautiful and real. Jane made me feel, she dragged me into her world and made me feel everything and I loved every minute, even when it hurt.

Fable/Kiera has been through so much in her 17 years. Her parents are horrific and abusive. She finds solace on the streets this where she finds a real family. They are all brought together by the adults in their life letting them down and repeatedly trying to beat them down. But these kids are tough smart and will protect each other to no end.
Heath is so wonderful to Fable he takes care of her but gives her space but Fable doesn’t give him much choice she's not a doormat anymore she won't take shit from any one anymore. She's very witty I absolutely loved her comebacks they had me lol!! I loved her character and Heath together they had such a pure and sweet love.
This is great story about lifes not so good side and learing to trust and no matter what rise above the bad things that happen and not let them define you.

Living on the street. Something that all of us as children threatened our parents we would rather do— these kids find themselves having no other option. They band together and make a make-shift family and learn how to be “Street” as it were. The question is can they love too? Can they figure out what can move them on together rather than always having to run away? I had trouble connecting with this book, it could have been the subject matter or the writing style however I didn’t get what I had expected going into this review. What I found instead was a diamond in the rough, another perspective into a situation I don’t understand. And the chance to see that everyone has problems. This is not a normal fluffy love story this is gritty and hard just like the streets, so prepare yourself for that before you read it. I would suggest this book to just about anyone looking for a gritty read that will make you think about life, I know it made me think a lot x

Bayward Street is YA (Young Adult) which I really enjoy.
The story is set around Keira/Fable.
Fable was treated horrifically by her parents, when the time to strike arrives her plan backfires so now she lives on the streets with her "family" who have taken her in, it isn't ideal at all but they make it work and survive the harsh critical stares and abuse from strangers.
One night we meet Heath who has a stable and wealthy family life, there's something he sees in Fable and he can't walk away they have an instant attraction, chemistry and sweet relationship.
What drew me in to the story is the instant connection to all the characters not just the main characters, the natural flow of the writing and storyline, I'm also hoping the secondary characters get their own story told, as i feel they also have a story to be told.

Overall I didn't mind this book. However it felt like there was something missing and at times it made me crave for more. I would have loved to see the connection between Fable and Heath flushed out more instead of just being told of their insta-love I wanted to FEEL it.
This book reminded me a lot of Fallen Crest High by Tijan and so I found myself comparing the characters a lot which is why I think I felt like this book was lacking just a little bit. Tijan writes a broody, alpha jock like no other and Heath just wasn't even close to a Mason Kade in my opinion. That could just be me though. If you really enjoyed this book I would highly recommend checking out the Fallen Crest series!

This was an interesting read by Addison Jane. I thought Bayward Street was good and enjoyable. Fable is a runaway living with street kids who live on the street. For she was living a horrible life with her parents who were abusive. She had a rough life until she was living on the streets and meeting others on the streets for they became fast friends. This was a different read for me and I did enjoyed it.

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is a standalone romance with an HEA. Fable was abused at home and is now out on the streets. She forms a kind of young people gang that looks after each other and pools their resources. Heath and Braydon are rich brothers who help out some of the homeless gang when they are getting picked on. Heath seems to fall immediately for Fable. He begins to act all alpha protective of her, yet doesn’t really go out of his way to check on her later, which was confusing to me.
>The book gives a different glimpse in to the life of the homeless. Homeless kids are usually that way due to circumstances that broke down in the system, instead of addiction or mental issues that adults usually deal with. The story has the typical mean girl scenes as Fable attends an elite private high school and dates Heath, the boy everyone wants. I loved the fact that Heath’s parents were positive role models even though they were rich. Usually, the rich parents are neglectful and rarely loving.
>I had a few questions I wish were answered, though. What happened to Daisy? Daisy was taken in to custody with Fable. Fable promised Daisy she’d come for her, but nothing was ever mentioned regarding Daisy again. Why did someone as grown up as Heath is described as being, hook up with someone as unpleasant as Jay? Everyone wanted Heath. He had his pick of girls, why pick Jay? Also, I had the idea that Fable was a virgin, but nothing was mentioned of this when she sleeps with Heath. If she wasn’t a virgin, who was she with? One of the homeless boys? I loved Braydon’s playfulness also. He was a good balance to Heath’s seriousness.

2.5-3 stars, but on the lower side.
This is the same author that wrote the MC (The Club Girl Diaries) that I was addicted to for the last week. I think that going in to this with a little higher of expectations, so with that being said I don't know if I would have liked it even if I didn't read them.
Fable (Keira), I liked her at the beginning, there was something about her that I didn't like towards the middle. She was trying to do the best for her and her friends which made sense, but she was falling in the same pattern that her mom was when her father was abusing them. Also Heath, as much of an alpha that he is, the chemistry at the beginning I didn't feel as much which made it so I didn't see it throughout the book. Also this book cover makes Heath look like he's 25 or older not 17 and in high school.
I did enjoy the friendships that Fable had with her friends that she made on the streets as well as Brayden and Heath, and their friends. I think that Addison does a really good job with the banter and friendships.
I was expecting more with Fables past, like more drama with her family that would come up later in the book, but that didn't happen, I felt like the ending was a little rushed. But then again I did skim the last 50% because I wanted to know what happened with everyone.

What an entertaining story this is! This book is filled to capacity with a variety of emotions, fantastic characters- some not so good ones but the rest are sensational, s solid storyline that hooks you from the very first page and a sweet love story.
Keira Campbell aka Fable meets Heath and Braydon Carson one night and this leads to a huge change in her life.
The most intense hatred, yes hatred not dislike, and disgust for Fable’s parents arose in me whenever they were even mentioned in the story. The descriptions and details outlined by this author are so incredible, they’re emotive but not mushy; it’s as though you, the reader, are there witnessing everything firsthand. At times I thought my heart was going to break from the agony of loss and sense of despair. Then at other times I found myself laughing out loud at the gun antics and banter between the characters.
There is plenty of drama and action that has you literally sitting on the edge of your seat. Honestly, I thought my heart was going to thump its way out of my chest. The twists are just as exciting and I can say with one hundred percent certainty that there is absolutely no dull moments in this story.
Fair warning though- once you start this story it will be very hard to put it down, it is absorbing in its entirety. I didn’t want it to finish I enjoyed it so much.

This story was given a reboot. I read it a few years ago and LOVED it then. After reading this one I am still madly in love with it and really don’t know what changes were made because it has been awhile since I read it. I think that is the nicest compliment I can give because my philosophy is you want a good story to stay a good story. Don’t change what ain’t broke. WINK! Oh I do love the new cover though. It is awesome.

My heartbreaks for all she has had to endure. I love that who should be her knight in shining armor (Heath), is really just empowering her to create a better life. She winds up with this awesome support system that works hard at helping her tribe as well. Eek. So good.
This book is so much more than a love story. It has this beautiful message of rising above abuse and neglect. Every minute of it is AMAZING! Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO

I'm a huge fan of Addison Jane's work and Bayward Street is no exception. I highly recommend this title if you're a fan of Tijan or Erin Watt's Young Adult romances as this title has a similar feel.
Bayward Street is an emotional, touching, yet at times heartbreaking story of love, loss and survival.
Those who live on Bayward street share an unbreakable bond, and it proves that family is sometimes what you make it, rather than those you are bound to by blood.
Fable the heroine of this title has endured a life of hardship and abuse, yet despite the circumstances of her childhood she's strong, courageous and determined yet also quite vulnerable.
The characters featured in this title are not only complex, but well developed and endearing.
I adored this book, and didn't want it to end. I hope that at some point in the future Addison may feature some of the other characters in their own titles.

Where to start! I don’t normally read YA, as I find them a little too tame and slow for my liking, however as a fan of this author, I decided to give it a go. I can honestly say I was really rather surprised. The story was beautifully written with a fantastic storyline and characters that you can’t but help fall in love with. Fable and Heath…from the start I felt connected to them and loved the energy they brought to the book. Although the book is YA the storyline and burst of drama was enough to hold my attention and keep me reading. Fable was steadfast and strong in her decisions and personality and Heath was kind, compassionate, fiercely protective and loyal to those he sees as true family and friends. Definitely a must read for both fans of this author and the YA genre.
