Good

This book was fun to read, it flowed so nicely that it had me intrigued. I swear I was sleeping on these free books, I didn't know there was so many good free books. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read book 2. I can't believe Que could actually be the ring leader that stole 50 million dollars like them. And just when they was getting along good but I knew he was sounding way too good to be true. I hope everything works out for her thou.

Read this for my bookclub meeting this Month.... the storyline was SO predictable. Good girl goes through bad breakup...meets bad guy in an illegal line of business and every other page being a sex scene. I think this is a good read if you are looking for a short story/erotica type read. If you are looking for a storyline different from the rest pass on this one. At least it was free....but I want my time back.

Good Storyline, but...

There was something missing in this book. The sex was hot, but it moved too fast. I didn't expect the climax. I expected Que to be some wealthy business tycoon. To me, the author didn't take enough time building her character. How can a burglar live so openly and be so recognizable without having a good cover?

The first chapter hooked me but…

The first chapter hooked me but I’m still trying to decide if I should read more. The storyline was really good but it just had a lot of unexpected time jumps that confused me at times.

Sorry - not really my thing - sexual content was the main theme - I didn't realize it was adult erotica.
It was just too much for my taste. The underlying story sounds interesting though.

This was an okay read for me. What made it good was the ending when he caught her. What was she supposed to say to him? Who was Que? This book has an interesting twist and leaves you with a cliffhanger.

A tease

This is a tease. The author took one book and broke it into four “books”. I find that practice profit-driven. The length of the book is that of one book. Part one is designed to get you invested into the read so you will have an interest in finding out what happens next. I won’t call it a cliffhanger because part 1 is not long enough to be considered a book and the reader isn’t giving enough to be satisfied with this offering.

There isn’t enough character development. The heroine is given obvious clues about her new love interest but she becomes so entranced by his joystick that she ignores her better judgement.

The hero is hardly laying low rather he is laying down megabucks at a five star hotel in expensive New York and wining and dining the heroine with finery.

The author seems to have an obsession with attributing light-colored eyes to her characters to define them as fine which is not a celebration of the varied beauty of black people who don’t have grey, hazel, or green eyes. However, she does send the message that curves are desirable on a woman.

I am so turned off by authors who choose financial gain over investing in their craft to produce a quality read. As a result, this author will not receive a penny from me. If people stop buying these book installments in favor of completed books, authors will be forced to write and sell completely books once again.

Loving the wrong man is a very interesting and suspense book. It will keep you wanting more especially the sexual parts. Then there is the suspense of really wanting to know if Quentin is or isn't the wrong man. Could Jazzy be letting her insecurity get the best of her not finding true love. I'm just disappointed that this book comes in four parts

Something that wasn't stated when I purchased part one. If I had known I would have purchased the set. Now I have to wait until I'm able to buy the other three books just to be able to finish this series.
Otherwise great story so far and well put together. I know that you will enjoy reading this st of Loving the wrong man.

This book keeps you on the edge of your seat as the author unfolds heartbreak, newfound love and betrayal. Jazzy is a typical young woman who has just experienced heartbreak at the hands of her boyfriend. She moves away due to this and tries to prepare for a fresh start when Que catches her eye. She is pulled in by his charm and sex appeal but what there is something about her she cant quite put her finger on and she later finds out that his secret may wreck her world. So the question at the end of this book is will she stay or will she continue to see Que?

Interesting start

Ok, so the start was good. It should have been enough that Que would never reveal what he did for a living, but the exquisite living, dining and shopping experiences was a dead giveaway. Good sex always cloud better judgement but having just gotten out of a relationship, Jaz should have known better. I like Tami and wouldn't mind seeing how she and Chris develop. Good start.

The writing and storyline could have been better; it felt like a story I’ve read before. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but nothing really set it apart.

I couldn’t get over how color-struck the characters were. I was completely over reading for the umpteenth time the color of someone skin and eyes (often a lighter complexion and eye color).

I was left disappointed by how the whole storyline played out.

Great book

I knew that was going to happen I mean "he was too damn perfect" that's what I kept saying throughout the book. This was a great read I will buy the next book in the series. I want to know what will happen to Jazzy and Que or if the cops will catch him. I just need to know what will happen like seriously.

I like

This book was a good read because I could see many women in Jazzy position as far as having everything going on for them in life except being able to find a good, decent man. I think I'll be purchasing the next series. I'm curious as to how Que will explain himself.

This was my first time reading a romance novel by Mia Black, and I found her writing style to be bold, relationship-driven, and full of heat and deception. The story centers around Jazmine (“Jazzy”), a freelance consultant for multimedia companies who recently ended things with her cheating boyfriend, Aaron, in Charlotte. Ready for a fresh start, she heads to New York to stay with her best friend Tami while she gets back on her feet.

On the flight, Jazzy meets Quinton (“Que”), a handsome and charming stranger who keeps her calm during turbulence. They exchange numbers, and a week later, he invites her to explore New York City—he’s Brooklyn-born and Queens-raised, after all. Their chemistry is instant, leading to a steamy night at the luxurious Carlyle Hotel, with windows overlooking Central Park.

Though Jazzy is drawn to Que, she’s hesitant to jump into a new relationship. She enjoys his company but can’t shake her curiosity about his vague career in “sales.” Her doubts intensify when she sees a news report about a $50 million theft ring targeting Miami’s elite—complete with a photo of the suspected ringleader hiding out in New York who looks alarmingly like Que. Her suspicion leads her to snoop, only to be caught by Que himself.

This fast-paced contemporary romance is packed with tension, secrets, and sizzle. While it follows the familiar trope of a good girl falling for a mysterious bad boy, the chemistry between Jazzy and Que feels fresh and exciting. The dialogue is natural, and the vivid descriptions bring New York City to life. I’m looking forward to the next installment to find out if Jazzy walks away—or stands by him. Two thumbs up!

Some of my favorite lines:

“I could stare at you all day too, but I think the other passengers might revolt if we keep holding up takeoff,” he said, laughing. I smiled awkwardly and moved into the aisle. He sat down in the chair next to me and buckled himself. I sat back down and did the same. I completely had to maintain my composure.

Before I was able to close my eyes and turn on my music, he turned to me and held out his hand. “Since we are going to be seatmates for the next three hours, I should introduce myself. My name is Quinton, but I go by Que for short.”

I reached out and shook his hand. “My name is Jazmine.”

“Beautiful name for a beautiful woman.”

I felt myself blush. “Thank you for the compliment.”

“Anything to put a smile on your face. So, are you going to New York, or is that another layover?”

‘Loving the Wrong Man’ was a story about Jazmine, a young woman who received the shock of her life when she caught her boyfriend cheating on her with her next door neighbor. Numbed by the experience, she decides to hastily leave town and start over in a new city.

Before she could touch down at her new location, however, she somehow becomes entangled in yet another man. This man seems to be totally different from her ex – everything he appears to be, her ex was not… Or so she thinks.

The story ends with Jazmine finding out that her new man may have even more secrets than her previous ex – secrets far more serious, and far more dangerous…

Overall, I think that this story was okay. I felt like it could have been more developed, and also, it could have been longer. It appears that this is part of a four book series. Considering that it took me roughly one hour to read the entire story, I’m thinking that at least two of the books in this series could have been put together to make it more well-rounded.

The title alone peaked my interest for a good drama. Jazmine's personality is very much present day strong independent woman, with a hint of sweet. Because of how I was introduced to her, right away I was rooting for her success.

This is definitely rated R for strong sexual and " cursive" content, as with most adult urban romance novels.
The book is very engaging, kept me wanting to know how Quentin could possibly be " the wrong man", with all those um... amazing qualities😁.

What I didn't like was how short this book 1 was, only 110 pages. The book moved a little too fast for me, and the characters could've been better developed. The good thing about that was that it's a quick read. The ending left me hanging on a cliff for sure, so I'm eager to know what happens next. I'm hoping Jazmine is safe more than anything and she gets her happy ending. Will have to get my hands on book 2 to know for sure.

I totally recommend this book, if you're searching for a fun and to the point urban romance.

I thought it was a good quick short erotica and the cliffhanger was good. Really want to know what happens with Jazmine and Quinton "Que", but don't want to read 4 more books. Jazmine comes home early from work in NC to find her live in boyfriend Aaron getting busy with the neighbor. She kicks him out and moves to NY to get her career going and meets Que. They see each other for weeks and all she knows is that he is in sales, but has a room at the Caryle Hotel looking at Central Park for $450K a night. Things don't add up and when Jazmine finds out about Que, she then proceeds to go snooping through his stuff and gets busted.

This story might be a teaser to the next episode in the series, but it didn't tease me. I quickly grew tired of the worn out and overused (not to mention-politically incorrect) phrases. Too many references to songs and artists that I have personally never heard of. And why is every man with tiger eyes and over six feet tall fly? Too repetitious in too many ways. It got old fast! Made me think of a poor rich kid trying to act ghetto. Didn't work for me.

Who is the mysterious Q?

Jasmine had a walked in on a situation no woman wants to see. She decided to start a new life in NYC. On the plan a sexy man becomes her seat mate. She felt the attraction but was trying not to get involved. However, Que aka Quinton was not taking no for an answer. He pursuit was relentless but he never told her what he did for a living. Now life has really been complicated as Jazzy thinks she knows his secret. Great read..moving on in this series.

I really enjoyed the storyline and especially the ending with Jasmine and Evan — it wrapped things up in a way that felt satisfying and true to their characters. The chemistry between them kept me interested throughout the book.

That said, I did feel that some chapters and storylines weren’t really necessary, particularly the parts involving Jasmine’s sister, Zari.
Overall, it was a good read with a strong central romance and a solid ending. I’d recommend it.

Good but...

Tger storyline is simple but familiar. Talking about expensive items, cars and restaurant don't excite me as I'm not into price tags. Also, long descriptive sex in fiction is boring unless its labeled as an erotic story. To throe in a mystery is good for leading up to book 2 but I probably won't read it

A bit too off for me...

I did not connect very well to this book, although I did manage to finish it. It is written well enough but I am not one for too much cursing.

The so far isn't very original...although the main character does move quickly into relationships... Just not my cup of tea... but I am sure others will like it. 😊

Another wrong man

This was a good read. Jasmine found things to be to good to be true when she meets Quinton/Evan Mills. Being told that he's a into sales did not cut it for Jazzy. Now she seems to want to know who he really is after seeing the news. What will happen in the next book?

This book was almost good. I just didn't like every chapter had sex because it seem like it was taking away from the story a little. I also am a little salty that they didn't say who que was until the very end. It was an okay book. I will read part two because i am just curious as to whats going to happen next.

Good read, nice flow, but became sort of predictable when the first news flash announced a big theft ring, if he had a few bouts of flaunting his wealth and played it cool, then that would be more intriguing. In terms of the sex scenes its refreshing to read a man so intuitive to the needs of a woman

Omg

This book a good read. I loved the story line, until the end. I gave book five stars, but I should have given it just four stars because I have to get the next book to see what will happen next. I may never know!!!! I prefer to read the entire book at once. But I did enjoy it. Maybe Quinton has a twin and did not know it. Maybe his girl is dreaming . I may never know..
