My Review:
Marc & Wade own a security company. They are hosting a party and have hired India as their caterer. When Wade runs into India in the elevator, he doesn't realize who she is, but he knows that she's extremely sexy. In fact, there is a mutual attraction between all three of these people that is an immediate thing at their first meeting.
But for India, this is a no-go. For one thing, these guys are 10 years younger than her and way out of her league (in her opinion.) She also thinks that they are gay partners so there is no way that they would be interested in her. She's most definitely wrong...in several regards!
I loved reading Wade & Marc's debate on approaching India. They are both drawn to her, but not sure what she would think about a menage relationship. Add to that, they are trying to build a reputation for their business and not sure how a menage relationship would affect that. Wade is the much more aggressive and impulsive of the two and thinks that it's all worth the risk. Marc is much more reserved and logical. While this is their basic personalities, I love how this translated into their feelings when they did become involved with India...I love how intense Marc becomes....so sexy.
India's inner-dialogue is priceless. She is overwhelmed by the sex appeal of this two hot young guys.
She called one of the owners of the company a smart ass. Closing her eyes, she tried to pretend she wasn't there. Maybe it was all a dream. A big, bad nightmare of how her day could go.
Holy Mother of God! She took a sip of her wine and tried to fight the blush in her cheeks. Just when did India Singer start thinking of men as fuckable? Granted, he was. So was Wade for that matter- big time. It figured she'd have thoroughly inappropriate thoughts about men who were gay. Especially both of them together.
I really had only one issue with the book. All three of these people voiced concerns over how a menage relationship might affect how their newly formed businesses. Regardless of that, after one weekend together, they were all-in. It just seemed a bit sudden to me when there were concerns about others' perceptions of them. But with that aside, this was a fun little erotic read!

I was fortunate enough to win an ARC of Conquering India by Ms. Schroeder. It was an incredibly sensual and erotic read. You'll fall in love with Wade & Marc as they slowly but surely pursue India. The sensuality jumps off the pages and the story has an interesting sub-plot that adds to the overall story. This is a MUST-READ for those who enjoy a spicy hot romance....satisfaction is definitely guaranteed.

India is caught in the rain on her way to an interview for her catering business. On the elevator she meets a man who flirts with her. Upon arrival at her destination she learns he is one of the owners of the company she is to meet with. Marc knows that Wade wants India but he is not sure India will accept them. India is attracted to both men and thinks something is wrong with her to want them both. But when her ex starts causing problems, it is Marc and Wade that she turns to.
I enjoyed this story. It is hot and sexy. The characters are wonderful. I can see the relationship happening. It is believable. India's ex is a jerk. He deserves what he gets. I was glad they all got what they wanted. I want to read more of this series.

Aside from the unfortunate title, this was a pretty straightforward menage story, with plenty of angst and plenty of heat. India is an older woman, and I enjoyed how her life experiences flavored the story without getting in the way. Wade and Marc are well defined characters, with an interesting dynamic. This book is relatively short, and reads like it with most of the conflicts dealt with quickly, but it is a satisfying story for all that.

HOT, HOT, HOT, this one will positively quench that need for a steamy romance read. India is confident and self assured in business but with men she's the opposite, especially two younger men. Wade is flirty and fun while Marc is commanding and strong. When you mix them all together you get one outstanding and impassioned romance. The pull between these three is electric. If the sexy romance isn't enough for you, then a crazy ex on a mission will stirs things up even more. From start to finish I found this to be sexy, real, and exhilarating. This was exciting and absolutely a story I would recommend.

4.5 Star review of Conquering India (Texas Temptations #1) by Melissa Schroeder
This is book 1 of the new Texas Temptations series and I was excited to read.
I wasn’t disappointed. This is the story of a slightly older woman (by 10 years) and 2 men. India Singer has started a catering business and she is hired by Marc and Wade who own a security company, to cater their event.
The attraction between the three of them sparks from their first meeting, but only one is interested in pursuing it.
Wade is immediately attracted to India, and believes she would be perfect for him and Marc. On the other hand, Marc wants to keep his distance. Not to mention India herself who doesn’t have the time or want to get involved.
When trouble strikes, India has no alternative but to spend time with Wade and Marc. I enjoyed how these characters eventually resolved their feelings, not least of which was entering into a ménage relationship and how it might impact on the burgeoning business.
There was humour, angst, some hot sexy romance and overall Conquering India was a really enjoyable read although not a very long book.
I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

A day from hell takes over on the very day you have an important business meeting, what do you do? India wasn't happy but rolled with it. A car accident that lead to a five block jog in the pouring rain, was on tap. India's appointment to try to win the catering contract for the end of the year party at the prestigious T and J Security firm, went off without a hitch. She knew this catering job would help her bottom line in extremely positive ways. What she didn't know was how Wade and Marc, the owners of T and J Security, would change her world. Both guys want her! Badly! Marc tries to stay away because she's an employee of sorts. Wade wants to jump right in. With time, they convince her that their lifestyle would suit her better than the one she had.
This book gave me new respect for alternative lifestyles. If only I could find two men like these two I might consider it myself. *smile* The book starts out with a slow burn and rages into an inferno by the end. I so enjoyed this story. I found nothing to dislike about this book. It hit the spot, so to speak. *grin*

No one writes a suspenseful menage like Schroeder. Two hot alphas, marines partnered in a security business, want to share a slightly older divorcee. They recognize the beautiful sensuality that she has no idea is there. In addition to the extremely intense sex scenes, do not read in public, there's an ex husband giving her problems. A quick read this was perfect between books. Always a pleasure to read a Schroeder book, the connection between characters is electrifying and inspiring. Thank you for my early reviewer copy.

Menage is one of my favorite genre so when Shayla Black (favorite erotica author) recommended this book, I purchased it.
I felt it was ok. It had a pretty good plot and it was believable which I really like. Just because I like erotica doesn't mean I dont like a good story line.
I did really like how it wasnt just an immediate decision for the menage. There was talk and discussion and a nice build up.

Talk about a steamy, hot read! Melissa Schroeder has done it again with this older woman/ younger men ménage story that adds a little suspense and action into this love story. Hot, alpha men making sure the woman they both want is safe, sounds good to me. This story pulls you in with great characters that connect and sizzle from the first sentence of Chapter one. India, Wade and Marc are a great couple. A must read book!

This was such a surprise. I expected to like it but really didn't expect to like it nearly as much as I did. It was fun, of course hot but with lots of emotion and strength. I enjoyed the play between Wade & Marc, their deep friendship and closeness could have left no room for anyone else but then when they opened up to India, it was magic!

Schroeder is a very good writer and storyteller. This is the first of a series about women in Texas who are trying to make it on their own but manage to find men who respect and support their business efforts while living in a loving polyamorous relationship. Actually a very good read.
