Wexenberger did a great job in translating the classic imo! Being able to read classics in original German is a aspiration of mine and this is a good way to get there.

The story by Vernes itself was entertaining but a bit outdated to me. The story builds up slowly and mostly instills feelings of excitement and suspense to me whereas I usually look for deeper takeaways and learnings in books as well.

Would recommend for learning German.

Finally! after reading halfway through I picked it back up and finished. It was as advertised a book simplified for someone learning to be fluent in German. Needed German language tools and helps, but I was also able to understand much on my own.

Not great, not terrible.

Easy German in which it is written is alright for practicing the language, but the way the story is told is quite boring.
