I received a copy of his Bible in exchange for an honest review. I have to say, I absolutely love his Journaling Bible. As a Bible Journaller, I don't draw. I can't draw a stick figure good enough to save my soul....my cat's stick figures look more realistic than mine! I am much more a writer than I am artist, and the faint lines help make sure I am not writing at a slowly decreasing 10 degree angle. Yes, there are lines, but it helps me more than hinders me. I can't say that will be the same for visual artists. However, that being said, I love the beautiful pinkish floral cloth over paperboard. It is by far, my favorite cover, hour I can't see it holding up very well under spilled coffee, rain, or any other precipitation. This seems to be a strictly indoors, keep it away from food, type Bible. There is ghosting. I was using an ultrafine black gel pen when writing. I am not sure how that may detract in the future from my usage.
Journal the Word bible is a gorgeously designed bible with a pink floral cloth cover, delicate onion skin style pages with single spaces lined sidebars to write thoughts, journal notes and even stamp and color!
Bible journaling is one of the newest phenomenons that has taken over the bible and christian book industry. I've had the opportunity to see many in a variety of bookstores but this bible far and wide stands out well above the crowd! The cover art alone is simply breathtaking. The feel to the soft cotton fabric with shades of pinks and deep purple and blues makes it eye catching, yet it's also a great statement piece on a bookshelf and a conversation starter for a coffee table.
The inside pages have standard biblical print in both the Old and New Testament. The sidebar space for journaling and coloring is about 2" x 7". I was able to stamp on the edges of my bible and it did not bleed through, however, I played it safe and colored with colored pencils rather than bold colored markers. The side is lined with gold and there is a beautiful satin ribbon bookmark sewn into the binding so you will have a way to remember you space where you left off. The only drawback, should it even be one, is to note that the print in this particular bible is the print is very tiny. It's also a very heavy book, especially if you are carrying this in a bible case or purse ... at 1,395 pages, it has some weight to it!
"He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer." ~ Exodus 35:35
My level of how much I absolutely LOVE this bible is beyond measure. It's gorgeous, it feels like a million dollars in my hand. God asks of us to read and share His word as the gospel and to be creative as individuals. What a wonderful world to be able to combine the two and creatively express our understanding of the world through art and journaling and drawing!

The NIV, Journal the Word Bible, Cloth over Board, Pink Floral: Reflect, Journal, or Create Art Next to Your Favorite Verses by Zondervan Publishing is a beautiful bible. I fell in love with the cover as soon as I saw it online. It is just as beautiful in person. I love the colours of pink and purple.
I have always wanted a journaling bible and am now thrilled to own one. The standard print is easy to read without reading glasses for me. The pages are substantial so I will be able to write my thoughts, prayers and reflections without worrying about ruining the bible. It has lovely wide margins perfect for journaling.
The NIV, Journal the Word Bible is the standard NIV Bible. It is not a study bible. It does not have illustrations, maps or other information. It is a straightforward NIV bible with plenty of room for journaling.
I am thrilled with this gorgeous bible perfect for reflecting, journaling or drawing. I highly recommend the NIV, Journal the Word Bible, Cloth over Board, Pink Floral: Reflect, Journal, or Create Art Next to Your Favorite Verses.
I really wanted to see what all the fuss was about with these new Bibles. I have seen so many things posted about them and how so many people are using them to doodle and write notes. I have to say I LOVE how this Bible is set up. I love the room to write notes (which I do in mine anyway) and how organized it is. The only thing is this Bible is in very small print. I can read it fine but I prefer larger print Bibles, especially for memorization. Otherwise this Bible is beautiful and would make a great gift or if you are wanting more room to write notes or color.
Five stars.
