This is a great little devotional - easy to read, short but thought provoking. Read this to my kids in the morning and though I had to explain some things, they did pretty well at comprehending it. Neat to go through each book of the Bible and consider the theme and what it teaches me about God's love for me.
Seriously one of the best books I have read. A short devotional pertaining to each book of the Bible. In each chapter you see different aspects of God’s love. I believe if we all could fully grasp just how much the Lord loves us, it would truly help so many of our problems to fade away.
Beautifully crafted. Perfected for me, yep, this book is designed and formatted as a quick touch of joy. Just like a pick-me-up snack during your day (if only it replaced food cravings), these two page love reminders will keep you walking in His Love. How would you measure an overflow of loving reminders from our Lord? Beginning with God's first love-promise in Genesis, you will discover the joy of embracing His promises with renewed determination. Every promise comes with an open invitation to embrace, stand on, and re-read these proclamations of His love. A must have for every moment that arises in which you need to hear that you are loved beyond measure. MrsK https://sacredheartsunitedforlife.blo...
Lot of information in such a little book. Jennifer Rothschild shows us through all 66 books in the Bible shows how each book reflects God's love for us. In a short amount of words Jennifer breaks it down what the word of God is saying in each book. Pulls out God's love. And then she adds a little message for us to think upon on. I really enjoyed this book. I think could read and reread it. Very easy reading on God's love for us. I honestly think the whole world needs this book with all the hate going on it right now. The chapters are short quick to do even at work on a break. I loved the illustrations so colorful and pretty also. This book is very encouraging.
I received this as a gift during a year when "My One Word" is "beloved." A perfect fit. This is such a wonderful little book, so carefully and well-written to show that the Bible gives us the message in every book that God loves you. I read it very slowly so that I could contemplate on each chapter. This makes a wonderful gift but get one for yourself too.
The entire Bible, old and new testaments, are an invitation from God to enter into relationship with Him. This little book gives us a glimpse if how each book of the Bible does exactly that. Highly reccommend.
Loved getting to journey through my Bible and see how the Lord teaches His children about love and how He shows it to us. Very helpful during hard times. 💚
This book.....OH, this book! I was moved, inspired and fascinated. This book reminded me that His love and grace is written all over the Bible! I couldn't quit talking about this book with my Women's Bible Study! I encouraged each of them to purchase it! Thank you Jennifer, you once again moved me and inspired my heart! This world needs to be reminded more of His love and this book does just that!

Review: This is the first book I have read by Jennifer Rothschild. I am an artist, so when I saw the cover I fell in love. When I read the title I knew I need to read this book. I have been struggling from self-esteem issues and rejection issues for over 25 years. I have recently struggled with hearing God’s voice and knowing 100% without a doubt that he loves me no matter what I look like. To know that I am beautiful in God’s eyes in my current state is the hardest thing for me to believe. From page one this book had me. I look forward to reading each of the 66 lessons. I find myself reading some of them over and over again to make sure their messages sink in. I am excited to share this with my bible study group. I am sure they will love it as much as I do.

A beautiful cover graces this (6"x7") hardback book that is filled with the love of God for you. With a total of 66 short devotionals to remind you how much He cares for you, Jennifer has really been able to encourage my heart. When I first noticed this lovely book, it didn't dawn on my that 66 Ways was talking about one way from each of the 66 books of the Bible. Once I discovered that it made the book even more interesting to me.
This week I was reading another devotional in which the author spoke about Habakkuk the prophet and his prayer to God concerning the nation of Israel. I thought it would be interesting to see what Jennifer had to say about God's love in the book of Habakkuk. Jennifer's take - God Places Lowliness in High Places. In the book of Habakkuk, Israel was far from God and the prophet was broken hearted over their sinfulness. He approached God with the situation, but God's answer was not what He expected. Things were going to get worse before they got better. Yet, God changed his perspective and in the end Habakkuk exclaimed "yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!" He wasn't rejoicing because his problems changed, he rejoiced because his perspective changed.
Jennifer has mined the gold nuggets of God's love out of each book of the Bible and shared them with us. This is a great tool to encourage our hearts one day at a time or multiple times throughout the day. What a great gift this book would make!
I received a free copy of this book from Iconmedia to review. A positive review was not required and all opinions are my own.
Rothschild knows the Bible as a love letter from God. She wants us to know it that way too. She has written this book to help us experience God's love in each of the 66 books of the Bible.
I really like the lessons she gleans from each book. Exodus reminds us God has set us free from the slavery of sin, insecurity, fear, and despair. We see from Leviticus that God lovingly provides protective boundaries for us. Judges reveals how God faithfully shows mercy to us in spite of our repeated failures. From Zechariah, we have the assurance that no matter how crazy the world gets, Jesus is coming.
Perhaps what I like best about this book is Rothschild's honesty. From Job we learn that God does not always save us from suffering but He sustains us through it. Similarly, from Daniel we see that God does not always deliver us from the fire but will not let us be alone as we go through it. From Obadiah, “God isn't ignoring injustice just because He is allowing it. Justice will be done.” (102) And from 2 Thessalonians, “His love still lets us suffer...” (167)
Rothschild knows what she writes about. She used to read the Bible as a youth. But a retinal disease caused her blindness at age 15. Now she listens to it and is still convinced it reveals the love of God.
This is a great book of encouragement for someone who feels discouraged or that they've disappointed God. They will see the generous love of God over and over as they walk through the Bible with Rothschild.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Icon Media. My comments are an independent and honest review.
66 Ways God Loves You shows how every book of the Bible reveals God's love in a specific way. We often hear that the Bible is God's love letter to us. 66 Ways shows exactly how each book proves God's unfailing love.
"From Genesis to Revelation, you'll see how much you matter to God. As you read through the history and poetry in the Old Testament books, you'll be reminded that God knows you and sees you and loves you no matter what. As you experience the Gospels and letters in the New Testament, you'll feel how His love challenges and changes you." ~Jennifer Rothschild, 66 Ways God Loves You
This book spoke so much truth to my soul. It's easy for us to be caught up in who doesn't love us, but over and over this book says "God loves you! God accepts you! You are important to Him!" God is love, and everything in Scripture comes back to love. 66 Ways God Loves You also inspired me to love others more like Christ loves me: unconditionally, kindly, patiently, and unfailingly.
If you could use a short read or a two-month daily devotional that points you to the Bible's hope and truth for you, this book is perfect for you!
Whether you're a new believer just exploring Scripture or a veteran who wants to see the Bible at a glimpse, this book is perfect for you!
Whether you're a fourteen-year-old girl wanting to fill her heart with truth or a saint who longs to be reminded of God's love, this book is perfect for you!
We’re all created with an ability to love and a desire to be loved, but many of us go through life wondering if we’re truly loved or loveable. Some of us head down a road seeking love and crash into a dead end. But there’s one Person we can count on to love us, no matter where we’ve been, what we’ve done, and who we are.
God—the Creator of all things, the heavenly Father who calls us to be His children—loves us. He loves us because it’s who He is. He has the greatest capacity to love, and He desires that we love Him in return. If you need a reminder that you’re amazingly loved and cherished, read Jennifer Rothschild’s book, "66 Ways God Loves You." This book is a treasure trove of ways that God loves His children. Focusing on one special principle or passage from each book of the Bible, Jennifer gives 66 proofs that you are loved by the God who made you.
As I read the book, I underlined the sentences that were especially precious to me or “poetic.” Jennifer knows how to deliver application of God’s Word that is moving, inspirational, and heartwarming. A Christian woman who reads this book can come away feeling confident that she is loved by God and has a special place in His heart.
So I recommend that you read this book and share it with a friend. This hardcover, 5 ¾” wide by 6 ¾” high book accentuates the soul-stirring words with full color graphic art.
I received this Bible as a member of the BlogAbout Network.
I really enjoyed this book. I was encouraged as I read it, and very impressed by how Ms. Rothschild could take one book of the Bible, narrow its focus down so she could write two pages about how God’s love is portrayed in it, and make it applicable for us without taking it out of context. This book is visually appealing, but also appeals to the heart and soul as she teaches the reader more about how much God loves them. Though it’s a small book focused on the love of God, 66 Ways God Loves You is also surprisingly rich in doctrine. I wasn’t sure what sort of doctrinal basis this book would have, if it would only focus on God’s love and forget His justice, but I was very impressed by Ms. Rothschild’s ability to balance that out. Inevitably, different doctrinal issues came up in this book, but I found we agreed on most everything, which I found interesting. One of my favorite (because I can’t narrow it down to one!) chapters was the one from Zephaniah, The Mighty God Sings Over Me with Great Joy. It was such an awesome reminder that not only does God love me, He likes me too! And He delights in me.
I was provided a copy of this book from the publisher. The opinions expressed are my own.
66 Ways God Loves You hit my desk at a particularly dark time in my life. I had been wrestling with the "why" questions of life. As I held this book in my hands I could feel the whispers of the Spirit telling me that some of my answers were just a page turn away. Jennifer has masterfully taken the 66 books of the Bible and used them to show us the loving mercy and grace of God's Word.
From Genesis where we are reminded that God fashioned us with His hands to Revelation where we learn that God receives us as His Beloved and Treasured Bride, Jennifer points out on each page that we MATTER to our Heavenly Father. He loves us passionately, completely and without reservation. Each of the 66 chapters is a treasure to be read over and over.
My favorite chapter is In Philippians God Gives Me Joy. Jennifer speaks of the joy found in God when she points out that "Joy is the seed God plants in the hearts of His children so the sweet assurance of His presence will blossom in our lives." How I needed to be reminded of that!
Jennifer has given us a book that must be shared. Buy more than one copy because you will definitely know someone who needs this book!
I am reviewing the hardcover version of 66 Ways God Loves You. It is also available in a Kindle version on Amazon.
66 Ways God Loves You: Experience God's Love for You in Every Book of the Bible by Jennifer Rothschild is a lovely volume that I know I will treasure always. It is not a large book...about 5½" by 6½". It is beautifully illustrated. It would make a very lovely gift but also is a wonderful book to own yourself.
Jennifer Rothschild is a Christian speaker and author who I have long admired. In 66 Ways God Loves You, Jennifer takes the reader through the sixty-six books of the Bible in 3 page devotionals. She wants the reader to understand that God deeply loves you and that he tells you that in 66 ways and in the 66 books. She is very encouraging as she presents the ways God shows his love for you in all 66 books.
I think Jennifer Rothschild has done an excellent job in pulling encouraging verses for each of the books of the Bible. The illustrated pages are uplifting and joyful. I am reading this book as a devotional. I know that you will enjoy this lovely book. Highly recommend.
The Bible is indeed God’s love letter to us. 66 Ways God Loves You takes each book of the Bible and beautifully captures the essence of God’s “love note” to each of us, offering bite-sized nuggets to reflect on throughout the day.
We all have days when the discouragement of the world seeps into our minds. But Philippians 4:8 says we are to think about those things that are true and excellent. This sweet little book offers truth that will counter the discouragement as we reflect on who He is, who we are in Him, and what He has done for us. From the formation of the world to the creation of a new Heaven and new Earth, the truth is “God is love.” He loves you! Let me count the ways!
Whether you are a new believer or you have followed Christ for many, many years, you are sure to find comfort in the pages of this book.

[I received a free copy of this book to read and review. The opinions are my own.]
On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, 66 Ways God Loves You by Jennifer Rothschild is a Thanksgiving feast. Yes, really. There’s a feast of goodness before the reader, and you can eat until your pleasantly plump and then be in a food coma of goodness.
66 Ways God Loves You is broken down into 66 chapters of 2-3 pages each. I’ve incorporated this book into my morning devotions, and I find myself captivated by the theme that Jennifer draws out from each book of the Bible.
But Jennifer approaches the books of the Bible in a way that I hadn’t considered. I think the book of Genesis (yes, the very first book) stuck out to me most. She describes the relationship between God and man in a way that I’ve never imagined before. And it struck me as so important that I shared this epiphany thought with my small group this week.
I think 66 Ways God Loves You would be the perfect compliment to starting to read a new book of the Bible or you could read it on its own.
This is such a cute little book of encouragement. I love how colorful this book is and how Jennifer reminds us how each book of the Bible has meaning for us. I would suggest this would make a good gift or even a type of devotional while reading through the Bible.
Five stars.
Thanks to BookLook Bloggers for the gift of this book. All opinions are my own.
