This book is sooo far out of my comfort zone but I just couldn’t put it down! It’s most definitely not for the faint of heart. Cheating, angst galore, asshole hero, manwhore , etc etc etc...almost every cliche that I hate all in one book but holy hell ya’ll it was compelling. I cried numerous times, almost threw my kindle, wanted to strangle Fin (H) and at times even Victoria (h) drove me up a wall.

I will start off by saying that I did not read the first book - Gray and Meela- who play a very prominent part of this book but I can say that based on this book I’m not a fan of Meela. Gray, I get...Meela...I want to throat punch her! HOWEVER, I can also probably say that if I had read Gray and Meelas book first I may not have liked Victoria enough to give her a chance.

Here’s the DL...Gray and Fin are twins with Fin being the rightful Alpha...but he doesn’t want it so Gray steps in. Because of that Gray meets Victoria first. Victoria has had a very troubling up-bringing. She is an Alpha female and her father isn’t exactly pleased with that. We’re talking full on abuse here people - beatings, starvations, every child abusing technique you can think of Victoria suffered. Gray is nice to Victoria and sees good in her even though she is as malicious as they come. They get together...do the nasty...yada yada yada. Well, guess what...upon meeting Fin she discovers that Fin is her mate. However, Fin what’s nothing to do with her due to the fact that she’s had sex with his brother, runs off and becomes the biggest manwhore you’ve ever seen.

Years later, Victoria has become Alpha of her pack, killed her father, killed ALL those who hurt her and built a kick ass all female army. Fin and Victoria are reunited and in a fit of rage Fin claims her. He hates her but now he’s truly stuck with her. Unfortunate for Fin his eyes are opened to what really happened to Victoria growing up and realizes why she is the way she is....but he just can’t get past the Gray thing. Victoria is faced with most of his past conquest - who attack her and almost kill her, Fins OTT asshole behavior and judgement everywhere she goes and in everything she does. Yes, Fins heart does soften toward her and Victoria does soften toward him but every friggin time they take two steps forward Fin screws up and they go 5 steps back. To say the least Fins one of the worst assholes I’ve ever read.
The first 1/3 of the book is devoted to Fin being an asshole of asshole. The second 1/3 is Fin coming to the realization that he’s been wrong about Victoria, them attempting to come together, and it ends with Fins betrayal. The last 1/3 has Fin suffering and suffering and suffering, and redeeming himself. If you are a person who not only wants groveling but for the Hero to be physically punished for his betrayal you will love this part of the book. It’s rare that the Hero truly gets what coming to him. Fin gets ALL the pain he inflicted paid back to him in spades. Plus, it takes years, YEARS for Victoria to take him back and I can tell you with 100% certainty that he will never betray Victoria again.

Ultimately this book is truly fucked up and will push every button you have but the payoff is worth it (for me anyways)

Now, because I know everyone will want to know how Fin betrayed Victoria I’ll put it under a spoiler...

There is a bear attack that almost kills Fin and Gray which causes extreme stress on Meela and Victoria, both of which are pregnant. Gray is severely hurt and Meela divers a still born baby. She doesn’t handle it well. She latches into Fin (she’s never been able to tell him and Gray apart so she can “pretend” with him) and his daughter who she’s having to care for because Victoria is in a coma. Fin and Meela get carried away and make out and ALMOST have sex BUT Fin stops it - Fin has always had a thing for Meela. Victoria is aware of this so when she finds out what happened it’s the final nail in the coffin and destroys all trust and love she has built for Fin. Fin is immediately repulsed by his actions and his infactuation with Meela comes to an immediate end but the damage is done. From that point forward Fin refuses to even look at Meela or let her touch him because it cost him everything he just realized he ever wanted or needed.

I love this story, and I hate it. It was beautiful and heartbreaking. I love Victoria down. Finn is horrible but he redeemed himself a bit I guess. This was a wattpad story so it’s riddled with typos and bad grammar but even still, it is one of the BEST werewolf/shifter stories I have ever read in my life, no kidding. This was a tome to get through, as large as manacled was, and it was PERFECT. there were so many ups and downs, so many tears, I loved it so much.

I loved this book. It’s also my opinion that Rachelle Mills is the best were-romance author. She is amazing at world building. This book was so angsty and painful to read. I hurt so bad for Victoria and the shame she felt. I loved her character so much as the alpha female who survived despite insurmountable odds. I simultaneously loved and hated Fin. He was despicable to his mate until the end, which was very satisfying.


I read this on Wattpad and there were some typos and grammatical errors, but I didn’t mind one bit. I know I’ll revisit it in the future.

romance? no, no I didn't find it romantic at all.
Torturous, more like...

Fin the conceited ahole and Victoria the h with the most pitiable back story the author could possibly come up with.
Then there's also Grey the brother who seems more Beta than Alpha, (not that that's a bad thing) and his mate, Meela. Now Meela was my least favourite character in the story. She was presented as the sweet little, butter-wouldn't-melt-in-my-mouth, miss. Everyone likes her and everyone wants to be her mate. Even when she's an absolute cunt, they all forgive her. Why???
It was manipulations by the author.. that's why.

The whole story I felt more manipulated than anything else.

I did skim a fair bit in the first half and I read it on Wattpad which is an exorcise exercise in torture just on it's own. A more dislikable reading platform I've yet to try... It's like reading PDFs but with advertising every 10 pages that you have to watch just to read the next ten pages.
AND this is NOT a short book... it goes on and on and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON.

honestly I really wish I hadn't bothered finishing it. Because after all the torturous back and forth and vilifying and redeeming OVER AND OVER... it just fizzles out at the end.

Girl is raised by monstrous father who has gone mad blaming the h for the death of her mother.
Girl meets boy and falls in infatuation and friendship.
Girl finds out the boys brother is her mate.
Brother/Mate hates her and his brother for having sex before he met her because it's a big no no in this world to have sex before meeting your mate... supposedly. (except how do you explain the many many many women Mate had sex with after rejecting his Girl/mate???)
Anyways, Girl is rejected. Girl must fend for her own to survive and does after killing every single evil wolf in her pack.
Mate returns to take over her pack. Shit happens. Because if there's a problematic character in the story, they get killed off after serving their purpose; to cause angst.
Mate takes Girl to his home pack and things look up for the Girl finally because his mother likes her. Then the OWs try to kill her and the mother but the author employs her 'Kill Off' policy and that takes care of that problem.
LOTS OF BACK AND FORTH, BACK AND FORTH.
Mate can't tell his ass from a hole in the wall. Girl is dragged around by his waffling like a ping pong ball.
Things are looking better but wait... the author thinks.. That's too easy. Lets have an attack that severely injures EVERYONE. Then have Fin and Meela snog with intent but not actually f*ck.

Now they are all even right? Everyone has gotten sexy with someone who isn't their mate... WRONG.
Now the author has reason the drag the never ending story out for another hundred pages.
Gah!!!

Two years pass and everyone collectively pulls their heads out of their asses at that same time.

The end.


Safety is nil. ...and it's pretty violent as well.
There's a little epilogue about the next book that features Fin and Victoria's daughter, but I wouldn't touch that mess with a 10 foot pole.
The exploration of cause and effect on emotions and loyalty was fascinating at first but after a while it wasn't because it felt too manipulated by the author.

Whew!!! This story was LONG. I'm a slow reader and life has been busy and hectic lately, so this story took me even longer than usual. Now that I've finally finished this baby, I'm gonna need to read something a little more light and fluffy to get out of this depressing mindset.
So, I had a couple of issues with this story.

Well, let me tell you! I'm not a fan of dual perspectives, where the Hero and the heroine tell their EXACT same aspect of every situation, and that is this story in a nutshell. At first I enjoyed experiencing how both characters were feeling, but towards the second half of this story, I was getting annoyed and exhausted by it.

And secondly, there's an atrocious amount of typos. Like a plethora of them through the entire story.

You're not kidding, it's WAY more than a few. That being said, the story is incredible enough to push through the massive amount of distracting typos. And push through I did. I never wanted to stop reading this story. The angst was epic. This is hands down the most hateful and cruel hero that I have ever read before. The cruelty to the heroine is absolutely devastating, heartbreaking and completely full of despair and depression. I got all of the angsty feels I could possibly crave from this baby and more.

I'm not going to go into the details of this story. There are plenty of other reviews that do that, but I will say this story is beautifully written and Rachelle Mills has a gift for spinning a gutting tale that keeps the reader invested until the very end. This story is definitely not for the easily triggered, but it's perfect for the angst whores out there like me.

you thought barson (whatever his fuckass name was) was bad ? H!!!! this LOSER is either the worst mmc i read or he is up there.

Picture this, our fmc here has very abusive dad and pack, she is all alone and suffering one day she meets someone has a relationship with her (she hopes to god he is her fated mate/something is there* but its not the bond) anyway turns out it was HIS TWIN BROTHER you were supposed be with instead now this twin brother was saving all his everything for his fated mate upon learning this without (mind you fmc genkirkingly thought he was her mate/ also it's this losers fault they met, mmc gave up on his alpha rights, so twin brother here picked up every responsibility) anyway he goes off the deep end, insults/rejects the fmc becomes a whore.

he continuously treats fmc bad, sending the women he slept to her (making sure they will go say hi to her) mind you she still is treated bad/beaten to death, 3-4 years pass he still hates her says insane things, they meet and he learns about her life still is an asshole whatever, you are asking what MORE happens well apparently he leaves one of the ows pregnant and fmc kills her LMAOOO he is again vile about it (i hate him so much) also his exploits with ow is detailed and his room smells so much like ow his mother destroys everything

In the moment, Fin looks at her neck and is tempted to imprint but his wolf makes him stop. It ends before any clothes come off but the damage is done.

When Vic wakes up he wants to tell her but is finding it hard. Then she catches them in their special method of comforting (Meela with her hands up his shirt, sniffing at his neck and sitting on his lap while he kisses her head) and discussing their "mistake" 😒. Victoria confronts them and this is when I build a love of this woman. Fin says they kissed and its all his fault, to protect Meela who Victoria will surely kill. He leaves out the imprint part. )

Second book is way better than the first one!!!! Fin is a better alpha and so much better mate than Grey could ever be....Victoria is much smarter than Meela (thank god) and i i found Fin and Victoria perfect couple.
Writing isn't easy, and writing a good story is even harder. Good writers often break rules—but they know they're doing it! I really admire this author who has created this werewolf world.

⛔️⚠️⚠️!!! Full plot spoilers !!! ⚠️⚠️⛔️

Update (26th May 2025)

First, I must note that this is a Wattpad story, albeit a very well written one, and I noticed a few changes have been done to it since my first read through. This time around, I can give a more accurate review since the first time around I only read the last third of the story. This is a VERY long story (122 chapters). The first 2/3 of it were a little hard to get through. It’s filled with manipulation, gaslighting and abuse towards the FMC (Victoria) by the hands of the MMC (Fin) and others around her. She’s a strong character with a tear inducing upbringing and she’s constantly beaten down and forced to overlook other people’s wrongs against her. Because she’s never been treated well, she can’t recognise when she’s being emotionally manipulated. And it never gets called out. The story connects with ‘Grey’s Tribute’ and also features Grey and Meela who are the protagonists of that story. I didn’t like their story because Meela was a spoiled brat and Grey is an abuser. All four of them are in a sick love square because Fin and Grey are twins and something about the mate bonds makes them have a connection with the other’s mate, but on a much smaller scale. I do believe the forgiveness was earned by the end of the story, but boi it was hard getting there.

The beginning:
Through most of the story, Fin is a selfish character. Always putting himself and his feelings first. Even when Victoria needs it more. He was hurt by her when he found her with Grey (even though they had never met before and didn’t know they were mates) so he left her to be tortured by her father for years. Then he added onto it by sending her the females he defiled so she knew what he was doing. He sees her one time in those years and she’s bruised and limping but he sneers and turns his back on her. He becomes a misogynist who believes women are all evil (except for precious Meela, who he taunts his brother that he will steal her from him). Victoria has had a rough life because she’s a female Alpha (they’re suppose to kill female Alpha’s at birth) and her father tortures her for ”killing her mother when she was born”. She lives as an outcast and is despised by her pack, but when she grows and becomes strong enough, kills her abusive father and ends up leading her pack in the East. Over the years, she also builds an army of female warriors made up of females she rescued who are loyal to her. (She is not celibate either). She's still friends with Grey because he's one of the only people who showed her kindness. She’s forced to kill a female that impregnated herself with Fin’s little warriors *cough*, causing a battle where Fin dominates her, marks her and makes himself the Alpha of her pack, along with his own pack in the West. She is forced to accept it.

In the beginning of their union, he vows to himself that he will be worse than her father and treats her terribly. He blames her for everything that’s ever gone wrong in his life, even his own choices. He kills Victoria’s brother and expects her to forgive him yet he hasn’t forgiven her for being with Grey. He is disgusted with her for being with grey and think’s she’s filthy on the inside, but only later realises what he’s done with countless females makes him worse, but still expects her to get over it straight away. When their mate bond is opened and Fin can see the kind of abuse she’s been through he realises she’s not what he thought and slowly starts to warm up to her and feel guilty. He still can’t touch her without using their mate bond’s pull to aid him and when she’s upset at the way he so easily touches Meela, he tells her it’s not his fault and she should consider how he feels because he’s trying 😒. He also constantly manipulated her with guilt and used tactics her father would used on her to get her in line. And let’s not forget how he’s constantly reminding her that she’s lower than him. Always putting her in her place. And when Grey unfairly throws her against a wall and injures her, Fin lets it happen and tells her she deserved it because she thinks she’s stronger than Grey and he won’t sacrifice the relationship with his brother for her. Grey never apologises for what he did, either. Instead, he dominates her in front of everyone because Fin has made her believe she is not strong enough to beat him, so she doesn’t fight back. (Grey later acknowledges he only beat her because she had a moment of doubt that he took advantage of). And how does Fin comfort her when she runs off crying? By eating her food in front of her and manipulating her with “you’re making it difficult for me to run this pack when you fight with Grey”. When she starts believing his bs, he feeds her the food 😑 (this is significant because Victoria was starved as a child and Fin purposely uses it against her to put her in her place). Grey was the only friend Victoria had left and then he went and did this. When she becomes pregnant, Fin’s scared she will die so he pushes her away when she needs him and tells her to stop overreacting when she questions him about it. The majority of the first 2/3 of the story is about putting Victoria in her place. Everything done to her is swept under the rug and because she’s so used to being treated badly, she just accepts it and can’t see when she’s being manipulated and gaslit. Fin’s goal was to break her and he succeeds. She said it herself, what Fin did is worse than what her father did because he constantly gave her hope and then took it away. There were a lot of times I almost gave up on the story because I had had enough of the manipulation.

Anyway, going into the final act, right before where my original review begins, Fin is the Alpha of the East, South and West and builds Victoria a house in the middle of the territories because the baby she is carrying is killing her and he wants her to have a happy home while she is alive. He invites his family to stay over for the grand showing. Some drama happens, he talks his way out of it again, same old story. But one day, Fin, Grey and their younger brother Thomas are attacked by a bear which leads to Gray falling into a coma and Vic and Meela go into early labour. Meela loses the baby and Vic had a bad delivery, putting her into a coma as well and making her unable to have any more kids.

The final betrayal:

Fin is now Alpha of the North as well since Grey can no longer hold it. Meela is going through depression and Fin has to try to raise his new baby while caring for comatose Victoria and Meela who spends her days crying at her son’s grave and drinking.

The redemption:

Vic is done with Fin's bs and can no longer trust him. She gives them both a delicious set down and walks away with her head held high. Finally disgusted with himself and Meela (who he doesn't find so appealing anymore) Fin destroys the furniture and when Meela tries to calm him, he FINALLY tells her to stay away from him and deal with her own sh*t. He tells Vic he's not giving up on them but she's already building up a wall.

Meela is so pitiful that Vic (who has a soft spot for suffering women) forgives her but I don’t think the author gave a good enough explanation about why everyone was so forgiving of Meela but not Fin. When Gray wakes and looks into Meela's thoughts and sees the moment, he confronts his brother (almost killing him) but forgives Meela. Gray tells Vic the bits that Fin left out and she completely hardens herself. They share a child and a pack so she can't leave but she keeps their relationship informal, only speaking of Charlie and pack business.

Fin is now the outcast and has to suffer on the sidelines for months, watching while the rest of his family live their life without him(going quiet when he enters the room, not inviting him to their game nights). Even though he's Alpha, he has no friends and only has an allotted amount of time he spends with his daughter.

I don't like that Meela was so easily forgiven. Grief isn't an excuse for cheating!! If Fin hadn't stopped, they would have gone further. Would they have forgiven her so easily then? She's such a wet blanket that she still tries to talk to Fin, getting him into trouble with her husband who keeps taking cheap shots at Fin from behind.

Fin has been trying to make amends but is still not getting anywhere with Vic who's now thriving. One day when he's out swinging with his daughter, Meela drunkenly approaches them, causing a fight with Gray. When she puts her hand on Fin, he gets mad because only Vic has that right and his wolf tries to come out. Gray, who hasn't fully healed, can't control his anger and shifts, setting his recovery back. Fin sends them away (should never have lived together anyway) and spends the next year trying to win Victoria. It's been over a year now and things come to a head when Victoria goes into heat for 3 nights. Fin suffers the most here because even though he's been trying, Victoria won't let him touch her, but she's not going to put herself through pain either... Let’s just say paybacks a capital B. 😬 It takes 2 years of patience, change and finally respecting her wishes for Fin to be welcomed back in the family’s fold. No idea why the rest of his family took so long but I don’t really like any of them so 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Final Thoughts After Rereading:
The first part of the story was really hard to get through because of all the manipulation and mistreatment of Victoria. Later, it was hard to get through because I was so mad when Meela gets absolved of every wrong doing she has ever committed even though Victoria should have been justifiably angry with both her and Fin for what they did while her and Grey are in a coma. We are told through the eyes of Victoria that Meela is an innocent and holds no pettiness, yet earlier in the story, Meela told Victoria there is something wrong with her and she was born wrong and she feels sorry for Fin for having her as a mate. Something she knew Victoria was always told and is insecure about. She later antagonises Victoria with ‘how does it feel knowing Fin wants me’. When Victoria is being manipulated into getting over her hurt at what they did, Meela tells her “you can be bitter or you can be better”. Seriously, the woman who kissed her mate is telling her this. Fin is rightly made to suffer for 2 years with his family avoiding him and Victoria giving him the cold shoulder. But Meela gets nothing! Fin changes so much and is finally putting Victoria’s needs before his own even when she still wanted nothing to do with him. Their HEA is deserved, unlike some.

Don’t read Odin’s Prize or Blood Red Path. The story goes off the rails and most of the protagonists from the first 3 books die in a war with the evil moon? 😑 As of May 2025 Blood Red Path is still incomplete (started in 2019) with only 26 chapters. There’s an interesting side story involving Thomas’s twins and their mates that is unfinished on the author’s website. Author removed some of the stories involving the other characters in that universe from Wattpad.

More trashy werewolf melodrama.

Victoria slept with Fin’s twin brother, knowing that he was not her mate. How stupid was she think there would be no consequences for betraying her mate. I was hoping Fin would have slept with Meela to get some payback on Victoria and Gray. Victoria had no standing to get mad at Fin, especially since she had given her virginity to his twin brother.

Victoria knew the rules…fated mates wait for each other. She flaunted the rules and (rightly) paid in kind for the consequences of her actions.

I wish I could rate this 0 stars. I cannot fully express how terrible this novel is. The characters are unlikable and toxic with no character development nor any redeeming qualities. This waste of time took me months to finish due - eventually toxicity gets boring.

It was a ok read, but not as good as Wildflower series or Bessa.

The way the point of views were told had me skipping a lot considering a lot of the words being repetitive. It just got annoying.

I also wished that the mature chapters were in the book instead being separate as you had to guess what the Author was talking about.

So basically if Rachelle puts fins book up on Amazon or other platforms I would hope it's rearranged and put together better.

I've read a lot of books throughout my life. Fin's Claim is one of the best. It is the second book in the Grey's Tribute trilogy. If you have read the first one, know that this story is just as savage as the first.

Fin was born an Alpha. However, sometimes what you're born to be is what you hate the most. He leaves the responsibilities to Grey, his twin brother. All Fin wants is a mate to love and cherish. Unfortunately, he meets his mate in the most horrible way.

Victoria was born an Alpha Female. The first of her kind. She is known as an abomination. All Victoria has known her whole life is hate. She's never had love. That is until she meets a male named Grey. She feels a connection to him that she can't explain. Grey may not be the mate she's longed for, but he gives her a taste of what she craves- love.

On a trip to a neighboring pack, Fin discovers his mate in bed with his twin brother. Any love he could have had for Victoria is gone. He leaves her in the hands of her abusive father and doesn't look back. He becomes a male full of hate and looks for any excuse to hurt Victoria.

Years later, Fin is forced to be with her. As he learns the horrific details of his mate's past, will he come to truly understand her? Can he let go of the hatred and jealousy he has held in his heart for years? Fin will struggle to forgive his mate. But can he ever forgive himself for the pain he has caused?

I found myself absolutely in love with Victoria.
She has been dealt a horrible hand in life, yet she continues to fight. She keeps her head up and shoulders back. She never gives up and I love this about her.

Fin is someone I love to hate. I constantly found myself wanting to yell and hit this male.

This book has evoked so many emotions in me. Anger, sadness, love, hope.... I cried numerous times throughout the story. Finding stories that can do this is hard. I seriously loved this book. I can't say that enough. The author is such an amazing writer.

DNF. I give up! The constant repetition killed me. As a tribute to the Gray's Tribute I'll will not be rating this book. I believe that this author is extremely talented but she definitely needs guidance in book construction.

Dear Rachelle,
you can't keep all chapter's you have ever written on a certain subject. It is normal whenever someone creates any type of art whether it's a book or a painting to have outlines and sketches of the final artwork. Those are called side art or by-art. They are the part of the process but they shouldn't be a part of the final version. A great artist usually creates a couple of versions form different angles before he/she decides which side to keep. Which works best. Basically you wrote two parallel books instead of one because you couldn't decide from which perspective to write the story. Your indecision destroyed both. BUT! It is nothing that good editor couldn't fix. I believe one day you'll be a brilliant writer!

I can't believe a book on wattpad, I repeat on WATTPAD can be this wonderful. Each words drown me into the story. Everything is just so Wow. I have read a lot of great books on wattpad from werewolves to vampires and any supernatural creatures and I liked A LOT of them MORE than some Published books. But this. this is beyond any of those books that I have read in wattpad before. This Book is amazing in all angles. From Book Covers to Plot Line and Plot twists to Characters and especially, the wording. Even if I want this book to be published, at the same time I don't. Because werewolves stories are under-rated outside Wattpad, and this book would receive less readers because of that. After months of waiting week by week for updates, I finally finished this book. 5 STARS TO RACHEL whom I talked to and is a great person. :)

If I thought Bessa made me cry well this story absolutely destroyed me. It’s fated mates, betrayal, joy, heartbreak and every single emotion in between. It has one of the most broken but fierce/strong heroines EVER. Victoria is quite simply extraordinary!!

This is the second book of this werewolf world and I would recommend reading Grey's Tribute first just so you can understand the society that it exists in. As we learned in Grey's Tribute the Alpha rules supreme and his Luna will submit to him, if not he is within his right to punish her and as wolves this is done with teeth and claws to re-enforce the lesson.

This time around the story concentrates on Fin and Victoria and their ill fated mate pairing. Unaware of Fin, suffering under a father who hates her very existence and starved of affection, Victoria has a dalliance with another male and Fin discovers this. The male in question was his twin brother Grey. This led to Fin abandoning his pack, rejecting Victoria and embarking on a path designed to punish her by sleeping carelessly with as many females as possible. Events in Grey's Tribute have brought them together and Fin claims Victoria as his mate whilst still hating the very essence of her being. However the Moon will have her way and she wants these two together whether they will it or not.

Victoria's path to becoming a Luna for Fin is harder than normal as she was not born submissive, but an Alpha in her own right. She must now learn to follow rather than lead and the pack she fought to claim is handed over to Fin. Unable to maintain her position as Alpha and stuck trying to muddy out some form of relationship with Fin for the sake of the pack, Victoria is forced to confront every demon she buried deep down in her fight for survival since birth. The main one being that her wolf is more feral than others, unwilling to bend to any and with a hunger to rule more territory. Her wolf's disrespect to his authority will force Fin to remind her of her place.

Fin himself struggles with the past Victoria shares with his twin and the fact that it forced him to denounce his full potential as the most dominant alpha of the four packs around. Her wolf's challenge to his status will push Fin into accepting all that he is and could be, and in turn what they can be together. Unfortunately his feelings for her are harder to change and his struggle to forgive and forget will impact heavily upon their relationship.

An emerging empire, omens of death and the two most dominant wolves compelled by fate to be together with or without their permission leads to an absolute rollercoaster of a story. I did not think I could feel more than I did reading this book. These characters are complicated and while they project an image of indestructibility to those in their world, reading this will show you that those who appear strong may have the hardest battle against their own weaknesses.

Truth be told, I do not think you will ever meet another character that you wished was eaten alive by piranhas and hyenas, scorched by lava, frozen by the antarctic, and driven mad by torture. (all of which combined is not even a fraction of what he deserves).


I do not want to say much since I believe that readers should go into this story blind (of course not really since it is a MUST to read GREY's TRIBUTE beforehand).

My thoughts:
I believe the story is as good as it is because it actually delves past superficial characters animated by words. Think of it as the 'general fiction' in the werewolf category hvaing actual beings written alive with the aid of psychological reasoning (it is fantastic to see genuine characters reacting to situations as psychology dictates... in other words they do not make decisions and perform actions that have no meaning [out of the blue] to them). They are genuine humane characters that you might know from our reality. They are not perfect. Some are immature. Most are broken. You will learn to love one and hate another. Hate one then to love in the end.

It is not your typical werewolf genre. Thank goodness for that.

What I loved in about this book was that it had research (every single detail is as realistic as our world) from biology to psychology. I just hate it when authors cannot incorporate these influences in their stories ( and yes this aspect can be applied to fantasy as well, just make it make sense!).

My recommendation:
Open a wattpad account and add this book into your library. I promise you that you will not regret it. Once you finish this story comeback and tell me I was right.

What now?:
I am just waiting or the day I can finally have Fin's claim in my hands. + a follow up story is next and I fear that there is someone that I will hate more (have to sharpen a spear and infinitely drive it into his chest and ego).


All I can say is that never has a title fit a story as much as this one.

As the summary suggests, this is the second installment of Grey’s Tribute and it revolves around the lives of his twin brother Finian and his mate Victoria. I highly suggest reading the first one to avoid confusion. Once again, the author brings us this wonderful world that she created, where werewolves are fierce and brutal creatures, governed only by raw force and total submission to the will of the strongest. It is a male dominant world with beliefs that stand unaltered from the beginning of time.
Fin and Victoria. Two people whose birth as a first born in the lines of an Alpha family, marked the course of their lives. One welcomed and cherished, the other considered a deviant and an anomaly. Women are not meant to lead.
One incident changed their lives forever. By a wicked twist of fate and personal choice, Victoria betrays her mate in their youth with his twin brother and unknowingly sets a chain in events that will forever alter their lives and the ones around them. Fin, devastated by this betrayal, denied her and forsakes all ties to her, following a path of vengeance towards her, compromising himself and his true nature.
A vengeful act, ties them as mates but the bond is not enough to mend the past. There begins their journey towards realization and acceptance of their mistakes, challenging them in every corner because they are both two very strong, prideful individuals with equally dominant wolves and wounds that are carved deep in their souls.
Victoria is who she is. A born Alpha, a Luna, a leader, a friend. She is fierce, strong, cunning, compassionate when the need arises, selfish, power-hungry, loyal to the bone, vindictive.She is without a doubt a survivor. Fin is the ultimate perfection of an Alpha wolf. Higher in the chain by everyone else due to genetics and training, intelligent, a great strategist and a highly skilled conversationalist.
Their story is one of much heartache. It is a roadmap to forgiveness that can’t be granted easily due to a sorrowful past and a troubled present. This is more than a werewolf book.

Sexy, dark, heartbreaking but soooo satisfying

I read these on Wattpad and I'm not sure how my opinion would change if it had been a regular book. Being on Wattpad allowed a story to be written that probably couldn't have been told in the same way if it had been published on Amazon first. Fin and Victoria take a hard path--good thing they're both tough enough to get to the end. I really loved this book, even (maybe especially) the parts that were difficult to read and had me openly sobbing.

One thing to remember--this isn't our Earth or our world, and these are wolves. These characters aren't the restrained, touchy-feely shifters who are all but indistinguishable from humans and adhere to our modern values. Don't judge them by our standards. Breaking jaws and pelvises are standard training techniques for fighting and their idea of flirting may involve a healthy dose of biting, growling and killing the competition.

While reading this book I realised author is having The Vision.
I have this thought author new all of her characters and what will happen long before she started to write it.
Story plot is weaving to perfection, every word ,every detail is in it's place.
Characters grow and change so much, redemption is earned and so is love.
Beautiful, powerful,emotional !
From all Rachelle's stories this one is by far my favourite one.

I would give this book 10 ⭐️ if I could. Rachelle Mills is the Queen of the werewolf world. If you want an unique and thrilling book that will make you cry, scream and smile all at the same time this is your book! Rachelle makes each character and moment of this book feel so real is like if you could actually touch the world she created. Same goes for all of her other books. I would actually recommend checking her out on Wattpad and Radish so you could enjoy more of her books. My favorite one till now is Odin’s story.

This book, holy shit how do you even review something like this book?

Fin's Claim is EPIC! Like Gone with the Wind, Star Wars Saga or Harry Potter. It's Game of Thrones with Wolves and oh so so much better.

There simply are not enough superlatives to describe this incredible journey you go on with Victoria and Fin. I absolutely detested Fin for just about most of the book but loved him too and hated myself for it. Victoria; was there ever a more incredible heroine written than her? I think not. Her trials and suffering at the hands of just about everyone is heartbreaking. Her strength, resilience and belief in herself is a battle cry to all feminists out there!:)

Fin's whoring around and the consequences for me still have not been answered or paid for (esp for the poor she wolves who have to go to other packs at the exchange. The suffering they endure is only really seen when we read Bessa and Borson's book.

This book needs to win awards, it needs to be at the top of every best seller list. It is without doubt the best shifter book I have ever read and it is certainly in my top books of all times. Depth and detail of the story/plot, characters is so intricate and detailed that honestly at one point i wondered does Rachelle Mills know something we all don't!! ergo that shifter wolves are real! I know how stupid that sounds and I'm a pretty sensible person but honestly i did fleetingly have this thought, her story is seriously THAT GOOD!!! THAT EPIC! THAT MAGNIFICENT!

IF I COULD GIVE IT 100 STARS I WOULD, NO STAR RATING DOES THIS BOOK JUSTICE TBF.

ok so for my 3 minor constructive criticisms:
1)I don't know how Wattpad operates but this book needs an Editor for two reasons:
a) grammar, there are too many easy mistakes, the most being between the use of to and too
AND
b) the dual pov. Each chapter had a dual pov, which i absolutely loved, i don't want this to go, just its not necessary to give us the words verbatim etc as it can become monotonous - i found myself searching through the second pov trying to find the difference. this could easily be resolved by a good editor and is needed. This book deserves that, its just too precious and important not to be finished correctly.
2) The incorporation of the private chapters; its incredibly frustrating having to come out of the book to find the private chapter. Why can't wattpad do what amazon does and give a warning about adult content? The book needs the private chapters, it wouldnt be the same without them.
3) Why is this book not on Amazon? why am I not paying my hard earned money for this incredible book? I felt guilty reading a book of this quality and the author not getting paid for it!! This is criminal, this is literature, its poetry and lyrical! It deserves to be published and the author needs to get paid for it!!!

I have loved every single one of Rachelle Mills shifter books. You start them and its like Alice in Wonderland, you get sucked down that rabbit hole into her world and only pop back out to eat, feed the kids and give a quick kiss to the hubby before you submerge again.

Absolutely addictive.

Delicious angsty shifter book with dark themes, violence, betrayal and redemption/grovel, all the tropes I love. GREAT writing style, i'll try more books by this author now. Fin's Claim had well fleshed out characters, a plot that sucks you in despite some tropes that would normally be unforgivable, you want to know more and the interesting world meant I absolutely devoured the book, despite it being too long.

But 3 stars due to it being very repetitive with the duel POV for EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY CHAPTER, rather than a selection of key moments, this made the story about 35% longer than I think it ideally should have been, and while I don't mind a long book the repetition made that a slog.

My main issue was the fact the normal and mature versions weren't both full books you could pick between on Wattpad, instead there is a full book 'normal' version, with weird author notes dispersed throughout even though it's a finished book now. Then alternate mature chapters are separated into another book THAT DOESN'T HAVE THE REST OF THE CHAPTERS - so if you want to read the mature version you are constantly having to switch between the normal book and mature one every time you hit a spiel that says 'see mature book chapter xyz'. I found that endlessly frustrating and it took away a lot of the delicious angst ridden adrenaline right in the best most emotionally charged or heated moments to have to constantly chop and change.

Spoilers from here: On the plot itself, I didn't quite ever fully buy Fin's self justification of his own cheating with 343242343 women while vilifying Victoria for one thing she did with someone she thought she loved after growing up abused as hell, that might have flown before he knew her but well after he knows the full story he continues to hate her for it but think he's completely in the right and not to blame.

Then his not batting an eyelid at her having all her bones broken and a year of torture at her father's hands, which he never seems to regret - I get at the start he didn't care but after he has feelings he's still like 'meh'.

AND even if I could buy his hate of her and self justification of his way way worse behaviour, I was never really sold on how he didn't care that he took the same thing from other women and their future mates, as he vilified Victoria for. Like if you were absolutely destroyed by someone stealing the virginity your culture says is only a mate's rite to take, how could you not care you took that from others? Because he did, he slept with many, many virgins then revelled in handing them over to their future mates. And he absolutely didn't care he knocked one up yet when he knocks up his own mate after feeling things for her he's disgusted.

I did enjoy his character growth and hers, and also that side character depth, and I even liked that some of this was growth from terrible experiences as well as good ones, which felt true and real.

I read this book years ago but I still think about it everyday. It genuinely changed the trajectory of my life. Ripped me into tiny shreds. This book is by no means good, but it is life-changing and it is a once in a lifetime experience. It’s been 4 years and I still haven’t recovered enough to even read one sentence from this book. Fin’s claim challenged every fibre of my being. Do I regret reading this book? No. Am I happy that I read this book? No. Instead I wish I remained in blissful ignorance, but I don’t think I would be the same person if I had never read this book. Nothing has affected me as much as this book, I remember I would sob, laugh and scream whilst reading this, like literally I once got so frustrated that I threw my phone at the wall. This book is a literal experience that makes you face a depth within yourself that you didn’t even think was possible. This book made me ascend and unlock my higher being. There aren’t even words for how awful it is, genuinely it’s a psychological thriller. Super thought and feeling provoking. I can’t say I recommend this but I can definitely say that you’ll never ever forget it. LOL.
